Of course, what makes him even more perfect is that just beneath that layer of spicy-red hotness, there is the ooey-gooey creamy center that is comprised entirely of adorable awkwardness (or is it awkward adorableness? You be the judge).

Cool, cool, cool…boom! With the “Do you hear me?”, he goes all shy and flustered. It's not even a funny part! Why does he need to chuckle? Obviously, because it wouldn't be adorably awkward unless he did!

During yet another performance

I can’t even…this whole clip just makes me smile like an idiot. How quickly Charismatic!Gyu morphs into Helpless!Gyu... He’s such a little trooper, trying to go on with the performance. I just want to pat him on the head and tell him, “Baby, don’t worry! Come here and let noona take care of you.” And no, not in a dirty way! (Or you know, not just in a dirty way!)

During a talk show

Ahhh, unfiltered Gyu is always good for some awkward laughs. His face is sooooooo serious when he says that sister shouldn’t just barge into her brother’s room unannounced, like, oh my goodness, he can feel the young man’s pain. Then, when the girls are like, “Why?”, you can just see the little gears (or in his case, hamster wheel) turning in his brain as he tries to come up with a plausible safe-for-all-audiences answer. Hahahaha.

During a hidden camera prank

Almost getting run over by your own car? Check. Letting your jaw hang open like you were at the dentist in front of a gaggle of cameras? Check. Looking as guilty as someone caught with his hand in a cookie jar? Check. Cowering in a corner like a…well, like a hamster? Check. Random English? Check. Basically, this is a daebak collection of Gyu awkwardness.

And finally, here’s some awkward Gyu, and just some awkward Infinite all around. Listen, I don’t know anything about video editing, like nothing at all, but there seems to be something a bit off about the cuts (or lack thereof) in this segment. It’s like the guys are waiting for the camera to pan away or something, and when it doesn’t, they have no idea what to do. So, what does our dear leader do? Amp up the awkward to infinity. Noona loves it when you sing, baby, but…

Awww, I can’t help it, though. I just love that child to bits. Whether he’s being cool and compelling on stage, horrendously flubbing an interview, or wondering what on Earth is going on with his eyes opened to a whole centimeter, he’s always adorable to me. Especially when he's being awkward.
