SNSD won! Haters are Hating!
MUSIC IS UNIVERSAL, WHY BEING RACIST?
i really don't get it. Girls' Generation, a popular korean girl group won the music video of the year award at YTMA. As expected, some of the fans of artists who are also nominated with the same category are not please. but why suddenly being racist? saying things like: "unknown ASIAN group just won an award even though nobody can understand their song, what the !", "tell that ASIAN girl to shut up and go back to her homeland!", "justin beiber and one direction are way better and famous than them!" and "they must have paid Youtube to give them the award, there is no way an ASIAN group could have that."...etc. blah, blah, blah...
it is understandable that they feel a bit bitter since their favorite artist didn't win, however, saying things like that is so rude!
let me tell you this, MUSIC is our universal language and not ENGLISH. does only english songs have the right to win an award? i don't think so. this is freaking 2013 guys, and people are still talking about differences. i thought we are all equal? not because we are asians, we can't create beautiful music. you tell me you can't understand the language but you danced to Gangnam Style last year. what the heck?
they tell Tiffany (Girls' Generation member) to shut up and go back to her homeland. really now? FYI, Tiffany was born and grew up in California, you know, the California that is actually part of America. do they have a mind? they don't know what they are talking about.
justin beiber was from Canada and One Direction was from UK, should i go tell them to go back to their homeland? like i said, think! (not that i care about them, i don't really)
i don't care if you are an Asian, hispanic, a black, a white, yellow, orange, blue or a descendant of Dracula. whatever you are, whoever you are, you can choose a type of music you like to listen. as long as it makes you feel good, you feel great, then it is awesome.
i was born year 1994 but i listen to 80's and 70's songs, what's wrong with that?
i'm a girly girl who loves girly stuff but i also like to listen to heavy metal songs, what's wrong with that?
i listen to kpop even though i don't understand most of the lyrics, what's wrong with that?
asian artist have been through a lot of training and struggles just to make everyone notice their music. why Asians don't deserve to receive an award? i don't get it!
not because you don't know them or listen to their song, it doesn't mean that everyone is like that too. the world doesn't revolve around you, you know? and it doesn't mean that the other artists nominated are Famous, they will get the award. basically, it is up to the fans.
as a fan, what did you do to support your favorite artist? you said that they should have won instead of Girls' Generation right? what did you do then? because apparently, you did it wrong. Girls' Generation got over 3 million votes compared to 200,000-300,000 of your artist. see that?
not all artists that are famous have a lot of fan base. some of them are only famous because they are controversial.
Music is Universal. don't judge people's ability to create good music. it is not base where you came from or the language that you speak. it is how you feel listening to it.
stop being a crybaby and racist just because they didn't win. grow up!
What do you guys think about it?
