“Hae, are you still mad?”

Hyukjae asks as he push the door open revealing the back of his best friend who’s sitting on his bed. He slowly tickles him a bit but the latter shrugs him off, making him to sigh. He bets this will be a really long night.

If only he did not leave him in the dorm then he wouldn’t have to deal with a very whiny Donghae. How could he do it anyway? Of all he knows, that guy really hates being alone and there he goes, being a jerk, leaving him without saying anything.

“I bought you your favorite ice cream by the way”

Yet Donghae won’t budge and it worries him more. Finally he brings himself to cuddle him which Donghae really loves but the latter shoves him away, and even move on the farther corner of the bed. Now, with his last resort, Hyukjae kneels in front of him and he could see his best friend’s red puffy eyes, making him to bit his lips in guilt.


“Baby,” he touches his face but Hae only look down, “Hae, I’m sorry okay? I’m such a meanie for doing that to you so as a payback, you can ask everything you want”

Donghae finally looks up, his eyes glitters a bit, “R-really?”

“Yes, just forgive me baby”

With that, the whiny kiddo finally hugs him, making Hyukjae to smile. At last he manage to comfort him, all he need to do is to do what he says and everything will be back to normal again.

“So what’s your wish?”

The brunette grins before yelling, “Let’s watch the sunrise?”

“Baby?”

“Mmmmm~”

“Are you serious?”

He nods cutely but then Hyukjae says, “Hae, that’s like 8 hours later and we have a schedule for tomorrow so we can’t—“

“Hyukkie~”

Donghae whine making his heart to soften but he still reason out, “It’s not that I don’t want to do that with you baby but our manager will scold us you know and we’ll get eye bags for sure so it’s not good for the both of us”

“But you promise me! I really hate you now Lee Hyukjae!” Donghae frowns, even called him by his full name, so Hyukjae’s heart dies somehow. His heart aches as thinks of the latter hating him for real and he bet that Donghae will really cry later but also, the thought of being scold tomorrow stops him for accepting his request.

But of course…

“Fine, but don’t blame me if—“ yet before he could finish his sentence, the fish guy already lunges to him making the both of them to fall on the bed.

…Donghae will always be Hyukjae’s first priority.

Hyukjae and Donghae stares at the moon from their window while cuddling each other. Donghae happily talks about the things that happen for the day while hitting Hyukjae every time he laughs too hard. Though it hurts, he feels his heart fluttering in happiness seeing Donghae happy. He looks at the wall clock…

…6 hours more

Donghae suggested if they could watch movies as they so they wouldn’t feel sleepy and of course, Hyukjae agrees. They watch a movie about a certain clown fish which the brunette really adores and even replay it, so in other words, they watched it twice a row.

…2 hours more

The both of them could feel their eyes drooping and in any moment they’ll really fall asleep. With that, Donghae slap Hyukjae, startling him somehow.

“I love you”

Hyukjae slaps him back

“I love you”

Donghae slaps him twice

“I love you more”

Hyukjae also slaps him twice

“I love you more”

Then it goes on until Hyukjae could feel the soreness on his cheek since Donghae hit him way too hard while Donghae? Well right now, he’s peacefully sleeping in Hyukjae’s embrace.

“Yah, who says he will wait for the sunrise?” Hyukjae silently laughs as he gives him a peck before tucking him under the bed. He could feel his vision blurring but he resist it and waits for the remaining hours before the sun rises.

Oh, the things he does for Donghae.

Donghae slowly wakens from his sleep seeing a Hyukjae sitting by his side. Slowly, he also sits up, seeing Hyukjae face painted with toothpaste, but instead of laughing, he pouts and says, “Y-you waited for me?”

“It’s my promise, remember?”

He laughs and Donghae can’t help but to kiss his lips because this monkey is just so sweet. Both of them cuddled as the ball of fire, slowly, rises up to the sky. Donghae stare at it in amazement while Hyukjae? He’s busy staring at his own sunrise,

His one and only sunshine

“Hyukkie, can we do this again?”

“Eh?”

The members busy themselves as their managers ready them for their schedule. One by one, they’re check and so they notice a certain couple missing.

“Where’s those two?”

All of them only shrug, so Kyuhyun go to their room only to see two koalas hugging each other on the floor. Kyuhyun tries to wake them up –kicking, yelling, and so on—but no one budges making him to mutters,

“Both of you will surely die before the next sunrise”

And Hyujae flinches in his sleep.
