Background: My mom died giving birth to me and my father never took much interest into my life because he blamed me for my mother’s death. My mother was a singer, so I decided that I wanted to be one too.  My older brother sang as well, so we would be in shows together. My father wasn’t very supportive of us wasting our time with frivolous things, but when Jae Woo won 7,500 dollars for taking first place he decided that we needed to be trained. So when I was seven, every day after school and on weekends we went to a vocal and dance coach. Every Tuesday and Thursdays I went to only dance lessons. After the first half year we got a personal tutor so that we could spend more time training. When I turned sixteen, we move to Busan because my father got a better job and there were better places closer to our new home to train. My dance instructor informed me that I was required to attend more sessions every week and I must enter competitions. When I started winning those too my father took a deep interest in my skills.  When I turned seventeen I tried out for SM Entertainment and I made it into training. It was really hard though, because I speak Spanish and English. My Korean was almost nonexistent and it still is bad.

Personalities: I am not the first one to blink in a standoff. I like when people listen to me, but end up listening to people I like. I’m more stubborn than a horse, but get more emotional than people think. I have thick skin, but people can get to me. When I cry about one thing it’s usually something stupid and I wind up crying about everything that day.

Stage Name: Krissy

Persona: When I’m on stage, I’m out going and not shy at all. I can dance and act the part of a brave, talented teenager. When the camera is on me, I use what I have. I don’t shy from the spotlight. 

Once I get off stage it’s a totally different story though. I hate when the spotlight is on me or when people ask me questions. I will stop what I’m doing if someone pulls out a camera and am distracted the entire time it’s there. I can’t decide what to do easily but don’t like asking for help. I don’t want to sleep in my own room because I shared with Jae Woo until I joined SM, so I try to seek into the others room with them after they have fallen asleep, but I usually am the first to fall asleep.

Trainee life: I trained before moving to Korea, but that wasn’t with SM. It was through three different people. Once I got to SM, people resented me because of my dancing skill level. Other trainees tried to sabotage my dancing, but it didn’t work. Once I got in, the training just got harder and I looked forward to that challenge.
