She often relys on her gut feeling for mostly everything, if she has a bad feeling about sometihng she wont do it. Daisy is not the best at controlling her thoughts, she is vocal about her negative thoughts on people and there is almost alway some. She doesnt find fults in only others, she is very critical of herself as well, she expects perfection from herself as well as others. While she inst large she is feirce, she does not back down and will force her thoughts onto you, for her, it would just be better if you listened to her than fight her. She is not afraid to put you in your place, verbally or physically. If you are messing up or keeping the group back she will be the one to say something, she isnt the one to talk her issues out she will be the one to get in your face about things. DIGGING DEEPER
BACKGROUND/HISTORY. Nagatsuka Chikuma was born in the middle of a Typhoon, her mother said she had to be the center of attention and she couldnt let the storm be the main event of the day. She came in kicking and screaming and was determined to live the rest of her life that way too.
Kuma father was an important figure in the company he worked for and when Kuma was six her father was assigned to their new branch, in San Jose California, in the US. After much arguing their family moved to California.
For the sake of fitting in Kuma's parents gave her and her older brother 'American' names, to help them in school. Kuma became Daisy Chikuma Nagatsuka Prince but she continued to go by Kuma or Daisy interchangably.
Because of her fathers job Daisy grew up in luxury, she went to a private school, worse designer clothes and got a brand new car when she turned sixteen. She was the popular cheerleader, average student and everyone wanted to be her friend. She had a boyfriend, too many friends to count and her parents were able to get her everything she needed, that is until the company went under.
When covid hit and every company also took a hit Daisys fathers company couldn't keep up, they shut down quickly. Only the main branch in Tokyo stayed open but everyone else was suddenly out of a job. In two months Daisy went from being a wealthy popular cheerleader to being from a family in debt without a house to live in, a repoed car and her school was shut down. Her family lost everything.
It ended up being too much for her father, he left one morning and the police found his body two days later. That was the last thing her mother could take and Daisy found her body a few days later. She was able to stay with a family friend for a few days while her brother was contacted. He wasnt able to fly to the US to get her because of countries being shut down but he arranged for the remainder of the families things to be packed up and sent to his home in Korea, where he had been studying.
It took a lot of forms and almost a month in isolation but Daisy was able to join him in Seoul. Since the country was all but shut down completly she spent all of her time in the apartment learning Korean and sitting with her thoughts. She started spiraling into a dark place mentally and there seemed to be nothing her brother could do to help her. It didnt help that hardly anyone from her old life even tried to talk to her anymore, turns out all of her 'friends' were shallow and conceded. She felt completly alone anymore.
Her brother thought having something relying on her would help so he got her a dog, a small fluff ball of energy and it did help. When he asked her for a name for a dog she didnt really think and just said 'Hockey Boy' but he was adiment that be his name. She started taking him for walks and playing with him and it did help but it also annoyed her, that wasn't enough activity for her, she needed more. She missed cheerleading, it used to be her life and now she wasnt doing any physical activites. Her brother had an answer for that though, he suggested she start dancing, there was a dance studio near by she could go to, they didnt require any experiance and it was similar to cheer. She begrudgingly agreed and started dancing. Now that was the key to her mental health getting better.
She didn't talk to the others much but dance doesnt have a language so she didnt need to. Her brother was right, dance and cheer were very similar and she started enjoying her time, she spent all of it either dancing or with Hockey Boy, since she didnt have to stay in the apartment anymore she went on walks all the time.
Her dance instructor approached her one day, said that a recruter from a company was going to be coming in to talk to a few students, her included, about joining their company. She didn't fully understand but she was ok with it. Turns out she had been scouted by SM Entertainment and the recruter was there to convince her to come train with them.
