Feelings

I gave you a letter,

hoping you could understand it better.

I had finally confessed my feelings,

telling you everything.

I told you I have a crush on you.

And you said you knew.

You told me you'll keep it,

and there goes my fast heart beat.

I wanted to say I love you,

but my heart isn’t sure if this is true.

I know you don't like me back,

yet I'm still holding on the track.

It's too clear that this is hopeless,

but this stubborn heart is so careless.

Now I'm left with a shattered heart,

wishing my heart could restart.

I know there’s someone who's better than you,

coming into the rescue.

Yet, I can’t seem to know the reason.

Why I’m still holding on to this like it’s my possession.
