personally, let me talk a bit about this. i'm happy that Kwanghee get more than a fking short line he always gets(that is when he get any line). i'm happy to hear Heechul sings. but that's about it. oh, the choreography looks good.

but i'm unhappy that Siwan gets opening part with fking low notes when he obviously shines in high notes. and there are many other things i would say didn't hit my expectations. like how many members i notice didn't get parts/key that really complements their voices n thus made it came out a little lacklustre...but idk...maybe it's the bad sound-system n it'll sound better in recording? idk. it's not a bad song. maybe it takes time to grow on me. the chorus is catchy. but the thing is...the song itself is just another idol-market type of song. it doesn't stand out for most parts than other idolgroup's songs. which made me disappointed that Star Empire is still pushing ZE:A to compete in idol market. i mean, they're idols. obviously. but the thing is...in fast paced idol market...timing n freshness factor is important. if you dont catch the attention the first or 2nd or 3rd time....by then there are already tons other fresher younger idols which will capture the attentions of fangirls. but it's different if they focus ZE:A as idol with singing ability n different music style than typical idols. ZE:A's forte is their abilities as singers-their voices, their songs. ZE:A has many not-so idol-like song...i mean, yeah all idols will have those kinda songs in their album...but all idols end up promoting the ones with same vibes....and ZE:A is no different. sadly. ZE:A has vocals that exceeds idol-type of voice....especially with vocals like Kevin, Junyoung, Siwan, Hyungsik, etc. n even their voice colours are above idols-level. and i'm talking about most if not all members, including Kwanghee. i consider myself an ahjumma already, so i'm past fangirling boys just for superficial factors. there are many boygroups out there with voice colours that i seriously can't stand at all, even though they're popular. and they tend to have similar voice colours in the group, while ZE:A....ZE:A is different. maybe closest to typical idol voice colour i'd say Dongjun n Hyungsik....which explain why i don't fangirl them much. not saying they're not good, they are really good. but i'm saying that ZE:A has so much potential if the company decided to focus on their advantage of having rich voice colour n strong vocals, and go with targetting outside idol market instead of still pushing for idol market with song like The Ghost of Wind. which by the way, fell short of expectation for me, with all the potential it has with such a title n theme/concept. some parts like the orchestra sounds are great...but the typical-idol-beat to it drowning the grand sounds...made the epicness fell short, to me....idk.....

wow...and i said i wont' talk about the songs in detail. i ended up talking even more details. lol.

now this is what I'm talking about Star Empire n ZE:A wasting the precious thing n opportunity they have right under their nose. This song is fking amazing n catchy right the moment it started. if it can capture my ahjumma fan heart....it means it can reach to wider audience than just idol-market audience. song that is so basic...without any added typical idol-music noise....just clean minimal mixture of instrument/music for most part and just the voices. you can just concentrate on feasting your ears with the beautiful voices and music. i just...feels. i'm still listening to it now btw...U're My Sweety.... i mean dafuq..just listen to Kevin's voice. ugh. n Hyungsik. n Taehun sing too. n everyone just sound.....adhbvahbsfhjbfhjb i'm in love with Kwanghee's voice...though he actually has similar voice colour with Junyoung. why is Star Empire wasting all the good songs with amazing potential n only concentrate on the idol-esque songs which are harder to compete with other idol-esque songs? it makes me so frustrated and sad. i feel that what they needed now is to take some risk, the thing they're so afraid to take. go against the tide for once! you never know if it could be your breakout! i always feel that there are so much i can do n chances i would take if only i'm a person with power in Star Empire...haaaa. ZE:A is being wasted n it's making me upset. remember ZE:A Five which planned to focus on vocal abilities n all but ended up promoting The Day We Broke Up of all songs in the world to show a 'different side' and 'vocal ability'. yes, i'm still fking pissed off abt that. if they're afraid U're My Sweety is too big a risk...Step by Step is a good balance of idol-esque music, and music with weight to be taken seriously as music. n non-idol doesn't just mean ballad/slow songs...you know their songs like Hunter/Coy Girl/Body to Body/Dirty Cat n many other from Spectacular album...those were songs with beats but not typical idol-esque n had a certain different flavour to them, unfortunately the album's epicness was severely underpromoted. heck even their old(unpromoted) song like Man 2 Man was upbeat but with character that's not generic idol-esque song. just start taking a damn risk already. ZE:A is worth it. they're capable of it. why should they be confined in class same with other idols when they have more to offer?

now don't get me wrong. i'm not saying ZE:A won't succeed with The Ghost of Wind. i really hope they will. and i have a feeling this time they might just make it...at least on one music shows....at least once. but....even if they won with it...it doesn't open for something groundbreaking...the next thing...they'll just come back with another idol-esque song n everyone who cares will get worried whether they'll get #1 or not again. but if they dare to take a step against the waves of all similar-idol-music....i can guarantee that they'd be remembered for their unique approach n music style/colour n the next time they come back with similar style...people already have an idea who n what ZE:A is made of. and i'm talking the general public-increasing fanbase. not just the existing fans.
