EXO's Best Performance

Performances on music shows are usually a hit or miss for me. If the background is too distracting, I end up complaining that I can't focus on the performers or the music. I get really mad at mistakes in the broadcasting, like when the production crew accidentally switches cameras when they're not supposed to because it messes up the performers. It's their job to minimize those mistakes, right?

Now, I have to admit that I was a little skeptical when I first saw the MV for Growl. I thought the concept was perfect, but I questioned how they would be able to replicate it on music shows. The previous performances disappointed me. They kept that flat, horizontal stage and the same magic that enticed me when I first watched the MV was gone but I have to say that this performance on Inkigayo was genius.

I'm not usually a big fan of Inkigayo because I usually notice that the backgrounds sometimes seem the swallow the performers and overpower them the but the center stage within the fans was perfect and can I just gush over how great the camera work was? It was a little shaky at some points but I'm going to let him go for that because he found each member when it was their line seamlessly. I hated it when before the cameraman would focus on a member when it was someone else's part. These close-ups were so beautiful (especially Kai's at the end).

I also love how they're singing live now. Not only are they singing live, but their vocals are stable and clear. It just goes to show how far these boys have come.

I think the other music shows should take some notes.
