my two eyes shine
YOU WERE PRETTIER THAN WENDY CINDERELLA
+ personality traits  determined, hard-working, stubborn, strong-willed, caring
+ personality
Miyin is a workaholic. Her priority is her job and to do it well. She knows she has to be very focused and thurough when it comes to her work because the futures and lives of others often rest in her hands. She chose to become a PT because she wanted to care for people and heal them so that she could have the opportunity to fix someone who is broken and give them hope again. She knows that her job often goes beyond the physical ailments of the person and transcends into their psychological status. That's why she loves her job. She loves being able to change the lives of others.

When she's on a new case, nothing will stop her from being able to nutrue the patient back to full health. Her patients often are the ones that multiple PTs have already given up on. She knows that she is often the last chance for the patient to get better because she is the only one who wants to help them. She doesn't belive in giving up.

At the same time, her perserverance ruins her. Her will to look for new techniques to help her patients means hours upon hours of research. She sacrifices her own health and well-being for that of her patients. This also meant that her relationships with her parents and friends have suffered over the years. She hasn't spent the holidays like Chuseok or Lunar New Year with her family in years. Even though she loves her friends and family, she puts her work first.

She doesn't take breaks. She doesn't believe in taking breaks. She works best when she works straight through. If she's not working with a patient directly, she is reading different medical journals and trying to keep as up-to-date as possible with the advancements in the medical field. If she's not doing that, she's researching other PTs who may be able to benefit her patients.

She's also very expressive with her beliefs and ideals. She won't try to push her beliefs upon anyone else but if there is something she disagrees with, she will vocally voice that out. She's very passionate about what she believes in. The only thing that keeps her from going all-out, full-on debate mode is her patience. She developed a lot of patience after having many difficult cases she needed to work on. One patient in particular was an older football (soccer) player, around his late thirties, who tore a tendon in his knee. He was positive that he could nurse himself to health all on his own, but of course he couldn't.

She doesn't sugarcoat things and is very blunt. This is another trait that she developed due to her job. She can't hide things from her patients. If something goes wrong, she has to be able to tell them or it could make their situation worse. Due to this she has sort of an platonic relationship with her patients. She knows that she has to help them through rehab but at the same time, she knows she can't get emotionally attatched to them on the off chance that something goes wrong and that they have to leave once she is done with them.

+ background
Living in a small town her whole life, Miyin always had dreams of moving out and making it big in Seoul. She wanted to live in an expensive high rise overlooking the city instead of her family's shabby one-bedroom home. Her original plan was to become a pharmacist (pharmacists earn slightly more than PTs) and when she first got into Korea University (which she worked her off to get into) she majored in pharmacy. After a year, she realized that pharmacy wasn't for her so she took classes from different fields when she found physical therapy. She loved it because it allowed her to make an impact on others. It wasn't just sitting behind a desk and giving out prescriptions. It was physically interacting with her patients.

+ life style
Miyin speciallizes specifically on the physical movement of the limbs. Her patients are often people who are paralyzed or people who had surgery on their joints (such as a knee replacement). Her job consists mostly of cases where she has to reteach her patients how to walk. She has a very high success rate. The only patients whom she did not fully rehabilitate were those who she deferred to other PTs whom she thought would be more successful. She also gets a fair amount of athletes as patients. Around the time of the Olympics, she is one of the official trainers for South Korea. Her clinic has her office and a rehabilitation room which has different equipment to help nurture the patients such as guard rails circling around the room to help reteach a patient to walk. She spends a majority of her day there.

She usually comes home late and leaves home early so she usually doesn't see the other girls as often as she wants to but on the off-chance that she does get to see them, she is all smiles and does her best to catch up with whatever she missed. It breaks her heart to know that her job forces her to be more distant from the other girls but she still puts in the effort to stay close when she can, like before she leaves the house she makes sure to cook the girls a nutritious breakfast (with extra calcium of course) for them to eat when they wake up.

baby don't cry tonight
MY LOVE WILL PROTECT YOU
+ family
Mother | Jang Eunyeon | 54 | 6 | caring, compassionate, forgiving | Eunyeon understands Miyin's personality and her determination to fulfill her dreams so she doesn't get mad at Miyin when she calls her explaining she won't be able to come home for the holidays. Eunyeon ofter sends Miyin care packages of things she might miss from home: homeade kimchi, dried persimmons, etc (Miyin often shares it with the other girls). Miyin is thankful for her mother's kindness but is also sorry that she can't do anything to pay it back.

+ friends
Kim Hyesung | age | Assistant | 8 | quiet, comforting, smiley | She doesn't talk much but she's a good listener. She's kind of an all-round person at the clinic. She is the secretary at the front desk but also helps out Miyin if she needs to. She looks up to Miyin because of her determination and work ethic but has a sort of insecurity in her that keeps her from following in Miyin's footsteps exactly. Miyin wants to guide her so that one day Hyesung will be able to open her own clinic

+ other(s)
Patient | Cho Junsung | 64 | Retired war veteran | sentimental, open, father-like | After an accident in the field, he was paralyzed from the waist down and many other PTs could not help help him get better. She admitted him as an inpatient so he lives at her clinic for the time being. He likes to tell her his experiences in the war and different stories he had with his colleagues. She tries to keep a very professional relationship with him but when he's so friendly and joyful, it's kind of hard to.
Patient | Jung Sunwoo | 24 | power forward for the Seoul Samsung Thunders | competitive, has a positive outlook, determined | He became Miyin's patient when he tore his achilles tendon late into the 2012-2013 season. He's an outpatient so he only comes when they have scheduled sessions. He is Tao's rival in basketball and would have brought his team to the championships that season had he not been injured. She treats him like every other patient, very professional, and tries to keep her distance. He is genuinely thankful for her help.

im running to neverland
MY LOVE WILL PROTECT YOU
+ likes;
mystery novels, reading is how Miyin releases stress. She likes mystery specifically because she likes to try to solve the case herself.
coffee, coffee to a medical student is life. She formed an "addiction" to it during college and hasn't let go since. If she doesn't have her coffee in the morning, she gets major headaches.
horror movies, she finds her life very boring and unexciting so watching horror movies sort of brightens it up in a way.
milk, she's one of the reasons the girl go through 2 gallons of milk a week. She drinks it like it's water.
babies, she took a class on infant care when she was still a student and fell in love with those cute, adorable little balls of sunshine. For one semester, she fulfilled her clinical hours by working at the Special Infant Care Clinic at Korea Hospital. If she wasn't a PT, she would definitely work there.

+ dislikes;
TV, she's one of those believers that TV turns the brain to mush so she doesn't watch it. Sure, she watches movies but only on occasion. Whenever she sees the girls watching TV at home, she turns it off and throws them a book instead.
Spicy food, she's never had a taste for it. She can't really eat anything spicier than ddukbokki.
distractions, she'll get very annoyed if you try to stop her from doing her work. Like seriously, just leave.
junk food, by now, I think you kind of get the idea that she is sort of a health freak (blame her job). Junk food causes obesity. Obesity causes more weight for your bones to carry. More weight for your bones to carry means joint problems in the future.
going to the doctor, it's sort of the opposite of what you would think. Yes, she is very concerned about health, but that also means that she knows what goes on when doctors do surgery on others. She's not going to let anyone stick a needle in her. She'll heal herself (she learned about it in college. That has to give her some knowledge, right?).

+ trivia;
She goes jogging around the Han River in the morning. As a PT, she practices what she tells her patients to do.
She gets cold easily so she often wears sweaters, or blazers is she's at work.
She's a huge soccer fan (which is why she loves when the olympics comes around because then she actually gets to meet the players) but doesn't watch basketball too often. She used to play volleyball in high school, however.
She doesn't go all fan girl mode when she meets an athlete (even is it's one she admires). She's met so many that she's kind of used to it now.
When she's deep in thought, she kind of scrunches up her face (it looks really ugly but she can't help it). She doesn't even notice she does it. She actually only found out whenHyesung pointed it out to her.

so lucky to have you
MY BEAUTIFUL BLACK PEARL

+ when did she become best friends with the girls? how?
In her final year at Korea University, she didn't have any more money to spend on dorming. She only had barely enough for tuition and other fees (Korea University is EXPENSIVE) so she was forced to find an apartment off campus that had a cheaper rent. Her roommates ended up being one of the girls and they were close ever since.

+ who among the girls is she close/closest to? why?
 — conflicting love because it was easier for her to get close to someone who is friendly and out-going. Miyin isn't the type of person to initiate friendship. You have to pursue her. Conflicting love's out-going personality makes up for Miyin's distant one.

+ who among the girls is she least close/closest to? why?
— fixing love because they just don't really talk much as opposed to the other girls. Both are sort of distant.

+ what is life like living with the girls?
 — It was kind of strange. My whole life, I lived with my parents and to move into an apartment with a bunch of girls is kind of overwhelming. I'm still sort of getting used to it. I had to overcome that mindset I had of it being just me and realize that we're all her to help each other. I decided one day that I'm just going to embrace my new life head on and stop complaining about having to share all my things (though I still get a little annoyed when they touch my stuff). I decided to live with them because I realized that as much as I loved my job, I needed a change of scenerey every now and then. I couldn't live at the clinic and my job limited the amount of interactions I had with people from the "outside world" so I wanted to surround myself with people who would care about me and I could care for. These girls became my family despite my real family being on the other side of Korea.

+ any particular role you have around the house?
I make breakfast for the girls in the morning before I leave for work (around 6am) and if one of the girls say that they have an early schedule or something, I make sure they eat before they leave. I also make sure that the girls don't eat too much junk food (the only exception is ice cream because it has milk in it). If they buy any, I hide it and give it to them at a moderation. I suspect, thought, that some of them have hidden stashes somewhere.

everyday in my dreams
YOU'RE MY XOXO LOVE

ALL ABOUT ADAM
+ love line  Healing Love
+ partner  Huang Zitao
+ backup partner
 Park Chanyeol
+ age  26
+ occupation  point guard for the Ulsan Mobis Phoebus (basketball player)

+ his personality traits  conceited, impulsive, confident, stubborn, high-maintinance
+ his personality
He's good and he knows it. Ever since he was in high school, he was praised for his agility on the court. He could make it past three defenders if he wanted to. He feels that he carries the team on his shoulders. He's the star. He isn't afraid to show that he's good. He is very impulsive and is known for making controversial comments on other athletes like "that guy plays worse than my dog" or "I could crush so and so in my sleep". The paparazzi and the media love him for it. He easily lets his emotions run his mouth.

On the flip side, when that adrenaline from the game and the cameras isn't pumping through his veins, he realizes the impact of his words but by then, it's too late and he isn't willing to lower his pride to give an apology. Instead, he just carries on with the image he has in front of the cameras.

+ their story
As one of the top physicians in the Seoul, she often treats many injured athletes, including different basket players around the league. She has treated Tao's teammates before but they never met in person. They only heard about each other through Tao's teammates.

Their first meeting was very tense and awkward. He had the whole "let's just get it over with" mindset while she was still kind of hesitant around him. Sunwoo told her that he had a temper so she didn't want to do anything that would set him off. He seemed a little cranky as is. He wanted to start off walking around the room with the guiding bars but she warned him that he couldn't rush things. She told him that he had to get used to stretching and moving the muscle first. He was stubborn and ignored her. He did what he wanted and failed epicly (why didn't he listen? She's the one with the degree in PT). From then on, he followed whatever she told him.

+ relationship
She also learned about him though other players around the league (he has sort of a bad rep for having "prince syndrome") so she doesn't really like him/ has a bad impression of him but decided to just deal with it when his management asked her to take his case. She wasn't going to let her own personal feelings prevent her from helping him. She looks at him purely as another patient.

He doesn't really care about her. To him, Miyin was just some chick who was supposed to help him get better as fast as possible so that he could play in the big game (the Mobis Phoebus were definitely going to make it to the championships. The question was whether or not he could play). The injury wasn't even his fault (he swears that other player on the Seoul SK Knights fouled him. It was not a personal foul. The referees were blind). He wanted to play in case Sunwoo got better before he did. He wanted to beat him

+ trivia;
He has a bad history with Sunwoo (they made comments at each other, shots fired, etc) so the fact that she is also treating him irks Tao so much.
He doesn't really like being told what to do (it makes him feel vulnerable and weak) which is why he has such a big problem with allowing her to treat him.
— He takes pride in his fan club because he loves the spotlight on him.
Despite Miyin telling him that the location of the clinic is supposed to be a secret (for the privacy of the other patients) "someone" tipped off the the press where it was.
He has a soft spot for ice cream (childhood memory stuff. He used to eat it all the time as a kid).

an instant heart attack
THAT SERENITY THAT GRASPED MY HEART
EVERYTHING ELSE.
+ password  Aww poop. I couldn't decide so I'm giving two different songs.
Epik High's Run - because Miyin knows she can't fall in love with him
Epik High's Fool - ^same reason

+ others —
ALL YOUR REQUESTS.
I think one way to make Tao finally be cooperative with his treatment is for Miyin to introduce him to Junsung since he never gave up trying to regain his ability to walk.
