My CNBLUE experience [EDITED 130616]

So, CNBLUE arrived at our country yesterday. Of course, considering that my first story posted online was about Yonghwa... I mean, he was the one before Yunho came into my heart. I love him like, really really. So I had to go and see them.

So, yesterday, my friends and I went to their press conference. There were a lot of people because that was the first time that a kpop group would be having a public press conference. It was really going fine at first. I was with my friends and my sister, standing neear the stage. But since there were so many people there, a chaos isn't really impossible. To cut the story short, my sister wasn't feeling so good so I decided to step out of the crowd and meet up with my other friends who were making a banner.

Four hours into waiting, CNBLUE finally arrived. There were deafening shouts from the excited fans and, even I, was screaming my lungs out for Yonghwa.

I wanted to get good shots of the stage so I decided to enter the battlefield and squeeze my way into the crowd. It was actually going fine now that the group was onstage and they were having their interview (which isn't really heard over the loud screaming). Then, the last thing I was expecting happened.

An old Yonghwa fan (she was 56 years old) fainted and was having hyperventilation. I didn't know what got into me but I had that urge to give up trying to see Yonghwa so close and just help the old woman.

I couldn't believe that I was able to carry the old woman on almost on my own. I was raking my head for all the first aid and medical lessons I have learned althroughout my life. I have checked her pulse, opened her airway and started running around, calling for help. Soon, a guard came to help and she was carried to the clinic. I should've left them on their own that time already but my feet just dragged me along and I was there, the one who was sitting beside her the whole time.

Her daughter was just staring at me. Like, she didn't really know what happened. She doesn't even know what's happening. What hurt me was that the old lady was crying while she was hyperventilating. She said that she went all the way there just to get a glimpse of Yonghwa. She was diabetic. didn't eat anything the whole day and just sacrificed herself just to see Yonghwa, her favorite actor and singer. I was just sitting behinde her, embracing her, helping her cope with her hyperventilation. Hoping that, my luck would extend itself and let me at least see Yonghwa even for just a while. When she finally calmed down and when I saw her finish eating, that was when I decided to leave them already. I didn't give my name, didn't say anything about me. Just like that, I left.

It was sad, to be honest. Because after three years of waiting, my only chance of seeing Yonghwa had vanished just like that. I am stil confused, to be honest. I don't know what to feel. I have always wanted to see Yonghwa up close and personal. And I know that I will only be able to see him once because I didn't have money to buy the concert tickets. It was really sad. I was sad for the old lady, too. She wanted to see Yonghwa badly. She was so sad when she heard that when she finally calmed down, CNBLUE had already left the place. It was a perfect example for a bittersweet moment.

I know someone would've helped her if I didn't move. I know I didn't have to do all those things. I'm proud and contented that I have helped saved a life. I know that if I didn't move fast enough, her hyperventilation would've ended in a cardiac arrest because, apparently, she also put her life on the line. It was a fulfilling moment. As a red cross volunteer and as a nursing student, it was really a beautiful moment and an event to be really proud of.

Honestly, I don't know what to really feel right now. I didn't get to see Yonghwa whom I have been waiting to see personally since they debuted in Japan but I have managed to save a life. I don't know what to feel.

I just hope that what I've sacrificed would pay off someday. It would've really been good to see Yonghwa but I think what I did was better. But sometimes. to be really honest, the right things are not the things that would make you happy. Not all the things you have stood up for would make you happy. Sometimes it would make you choose between the things that you have stood up for your life and the things that you have been waiting to happen.

So, the day after the fainting incident, my friends and Idecised to try our luck in seeing them after the concert. We stayed at the resturant that was sponsoring the concert. It was a Korean BBQ restaurant and there were a few "friends" who were serving. Moving on, we waited there for like four hours, waiting for them to have their after concert party. In the end, I got to see not just Yonghwabut the whole band up close. I got to say, they're not exceptionally tall and unlike what most idols portray, CNBLUE doesn't generally have fair skin. They're still handsome, though. But I uess if you didn't know that they were celebrities, you'd just treat them like ordinary people. (And Yonghwa's short. He's just a few inches taller than I am. I think his real height is about 5'3"-5'4")

Maybe it all did pay off in the end. Because today, when we were at the airport, I got to see them up close again. So if I count it, I've seen them thrice with less than a meter between us.

Good deeds do have rewards. :)

You did a good thing and that itself can be a great reward. They will come back I'm sure and then that will be your chance. But bless you because not everyone would do what you've done.
