personality:
Chara developed retinopathy, the loss of eyesight from the damaging of her retina that converts light into images, due to type 1 diabetes when she was about 7. She was able to slow it down with treatments from her eye doctor and taking care of her diabetes by monitoring her blood sugar but she still has to wear eyeglasses because the damage that has already been done is irreversable. People often baby her due to her retinopathy and truthfully, she hates it. She doesn't need someone treating her like a little kid. Her whole goal in life is to prove to people that she is just a normal person and even with retinopathy, she is capable of accomplishing the same things as others and possible more. She wants to prove her independence and often times because of this, pushes people away just to prove her point. She's gotten so used to pusing people away that now it's a part of her. She would rather stay by herself than be surrounded by people. She acts this way especially when she meets new people. She doesn't smile much. She only smiles when needed. She doesn't really talk much either but when she does, it's often very sarcastic but funny at the same time. She's not rude. She's just blunt. The way she really speaks is through her music. Music is what drives her to keep on working. She loves just playing one of her many instruments by herself and is constatly looking to learn more. Right now, she's learning ukelele but because she's already almost mastered it, she's plannign to move onto the violin. She already knows how to play bass, electric, and acoustic guitar, drums, and piano.

Her idol is Tablo just because his music is so amazing. Her favorite song is Home on his Fever's End album.
Her alias Black Rose is significant because it symbolizes how people view her eyes as a crutch for her but to her, they are her strength. Many people view black roses as ugly, but to her they are just as beautiful as a red one.

She was born in GwangJu and stayed there with her parents until her halmeoni died. Her father's businass after her halmeoni's death started to decline so they moved to Manila in search for better work. There, she was diagnosed with her retinopathy and her parents started to baby her, being the concerned parents they were, because she was their only child. In school, she met Park SangHyun who was also Korean and they immediately clicked. She befriended his sisters, Doorami and Sandara. After Sandara's shoot to stardom in the Philippines, Chara's dream really started to blossom because she realized that they weren't impossible. By the time she was 15, she decided to move back to GwangJu and live with her aunt so that she could work on her career in Korea. Ever sinc then, she sent her compositions to differnt entertainment agencies and even though none signed her, a few accepted her individual compositions. That's how Black Rose came about. It wasn't until she was 17 that Woolim signed her.

how did you get casted?: She sent in a few of her compositions and was accepted.

trainee life: She originally wanted to be signed only as a composer but after hearing her sing in one of the guide songs for her composition, Woolim signer her as a trainee. Trainee life was hard for her especailly because of her diabetes and retinopathy. She couldn't diet like the others or skips meals since she had to constantly monitor her blood sugar. She had to work extra hard to stay as skinny as the other girls while still maintaining her blood suagar so instead of dieting, she worked out a lot in the gym which caused her to build a significant amount of muscle mass which is why she is as skinny as the other trainees but much heavier. She was often scolded for skipping practice every now and then to go to her eye doctor but she never told her teachers that she was at the doctor since she wanted to be treated like everyone else. She kept her distance from all the other trainees so she was often seen as an outsider and never really made any friends.

scene request: Maybe not only will each individual member have a rival but the group as a whole should have a rival as well, such as Rainbow, T-ara, or some other 7-member group. I guess they could be promoting at the same time and rank similarly on the charts and that's how their rivalry would start. Whoever you chose to be the rival would be threatened to see their position taken away by a rookie group and paperclips would be pressured to do well since they're coming from a company that has so many talented groups come out of it, like Infinite and Epik High. Something would make their tempers flare and they would exchange a few nasty words. Then a big fight would break out backstage. The scandal starts when the press gets a hold of the info and it all goes downhill from there. I guess... I dunno.

I'm not really sure what kind of sound you want paperclips to have but if you want more of a hardcore, rap song EvoL's Magnet is really good.
Another powerful sounding song, but not as hardcore is Me, In by Wonder Girls.
For a more traditional K-Pop style, you could go with miss A's Help Me or Sweet Dreams by Wonder Girls.
You could also go the 2NE1 route where their debut track could feature a group like Infinite just so that they have extra support from Inspirits. A good song for that is Lollipop by f(x).
If you want a cute song, but not sickeningly aegyo-filled, you could go with 3-Out by Sunny Hill.
Haha. I'm giving you all these songs but I highly doubt you heard a majority of them. I'm sorry. Haha. I just love sharing some of the lesser known songs that I find to be much better than a lot of the title tracks people promote. If you don't choose these as the title track, they all work as B-sides on the album since that's exactly what they are.
