my attention on ZE:A was planted at the time i thought no boygroup could fascinate/amuse me enough n replace my love, Battle who had gone on hiatus for years n years n everytime a boygroup debuted...i'd feel the group was just...meh....ZE:A was no different, and i dismissed them early on without even watching a whole proper performance...but then after over a year and a half they debuted...one day i happened to watch a snippet of their guesting at a radio show...and i thought these boys were so adorable, i mean, their personalities seemed interesting, so i had to try their music again n watch them a bit more to decide if i would like them. and let's say that was the right decision. actually, even before the radio show, i had been fond on defending them whenever i see fans of other groups bashing them just to make their oppar look better. i get pissed when people keep bashing ZE:A every time they had dance battle with other boygroups especially. i would watch the perf to find if they're so bad to be bashed that much n no i didn't get any logical answer to justify the hate. even though at the time i didn't know them n only heard of Kwanghee n maybe Dongjun. i guess it's the instinct to be protective of underdogs made me cared for them even without knowing. i can't even fathom why are they so hated...maybe cuz they're not popular n thus became an easy prey to hate on. but after that radio show n after learning more n more about them., i think it'd be easier to answer that i love them because i had no reason to not love them. Absolutely none. i love their voices that weren't the typical idol boygroup sound that annoy me most often, i love their underdogness, i love the hardships they went through their predebut that made them so much admirable for the way they maturedly handled the hardships n rose above, i love their silly love for each other that doesn't seem perfect or fanservice-y but gave you a sense of genuineness, i love their manners, humbleness, i love their music- damnit-have you heard of Spectacular album-cuz it really lived up to its name n it's such a waste they only promote the weakest song in the album. sigh. i love them for everything that they are and everything that they're not. they remind me of how an idol should be...without seeming fake. there's nothing extraordinary about them...they're normal next-door type of guys who are not from some weird planets or aliens or you know...all those mysterious/weird things that are the trend with kpop groups nowadays...but i happen to like normal, warm humans, which is perfectly what they are.
