Athena by her brother as she was born in Athens, and she calls him Roman since he was born in Rome, Italy. Mari by friends as it's just a combo of her full name and something cute to with.

• since she grew up in Sweden until the age of 14, it's a given for her to already being fluent in English and Swedish. Sweden's official languages is Swedish, but English was compsulsory in school, and a possible second language of Sweden as well.
• as for moderate in Korean, it's because she has now lived inSouth Korea for more than 4+ years and her step-mother is a native Korean and so learned through her.
• being somewhat conversational and more than basic in Japanese is because she spoke this with her father, same with Thai with her mother, until they passed away, and so now only speak with her brother.
• as for Norwegian and Danish, these two languages are similar to Swedish, and so is not that hard to pick up easily and converse and know, especially if you live in the area where others speak it too. Plus it was taught in school to differeniate the differences among these three languages, despite similarities.
• English and Korean she speaks with her step-mother, brother, and those around her like at the international school she attended.
• Swedish, Japanese, Thai, Norwegian, and Danish she speaks with her brother as so the two will not forget their roots.

personality. Maja is a sweet, modest, humble, friendly, dorky, weird, directionally challenged, and just a down-to-earth kind of girl. Maja's real with you, and doesn't bother with drama. If you involve her, you better be prepared with what she's got because she's not scare to set you straight. Maja is the type of girl that you can make a real good friend out of and just honestly be comfortable around with. Maja has nothing to hide, unless she doesn't want you to know about her because she doesn't feel comfortable around you, or hasn't built a good bond of trust with you.

before debut. Maja had a typical life. In Sweden, she hung out with friends that were neighbors, did school work when finished with home school, and played outside and what not. In Korea, she went to an actual school and an international one at that. She studied, did normal teenage stuff, and lived life. Maja did a few part-time jobs here and there to gain the work experiences and improve on her Korean and the culture by interacting with the customers, and vice versa with teaching English, too. Other than that, she hung out with family, helped around the house, and just well, lived her young life each day.

Shinji || 47 || english teacher || she's her step-mother, and at first didn't get along, but Lovisa saw the effort she put in to caring for the family, even though Lovisa and her brother aren't her real children and she doesn't have her own or other next of kin after the death of Viggo

family background. her father, Viggo, was a 2nd generation Japanese living in Sweden, while her mother, Evelina was a 3rd generation Thai living in Sweden. this makes her and her younger brother half Japanese and half Thai. her mother died from a hit and run by a drunk driver when Evelina was on her lunch break from work when Maja was 11. her father remarried two years later to her now step-mother. a year later, Viggo died during a robbery shoot out. this left Maja and her brother Anton in the care of their step-mother, Shinji. that same year, Shinji was relocated back home to South Korea, and the kids had to go with her, since they had no other next of kin, except her. they were under her guardianship. so the kids followed, not wanting to be separated from each other, and living with some other strangers, and so now live with Shinji. although they all live under Shinji's pension the kids were still left with the fortune from their parents, and this helps them still be well care for and help ease Shinji's life too. And Shinji isn't handling it for herself, but taking real care of the kids until they are at the age to handle the money themselves. all three have grown closer to one another and see each other as family.

discovered. Maja was first scouted at age 16, but declined as she was not interested. scouted again by the same company, but declined once more a year later for the same reason. Maja was scouted for a third time after she graduated high school, and finally accepted it. It was because of her friends, brother, and step-mother had pushed her to give it a try since it was a third offer, and so Maja just went with it and auditioned for that reason.

trainee life. it was difficult. Maja was still getting use to the korean culture and language, although by now she was conversational and got the gist of things somewhat, but things still confused her. Maja also mixed up times and dates, gotten confused with dance steps and lyrical words, and so got scolded for them. Maja preserved only because she's gotten that far, and giving up didn't seem like such a good option only because it left her feeling incomplete. so she preserved and strived on. Maja was nice and polite to everyone, but making friends, it was a bit tough only because they were used to their own ways and to them she was like a foreigner intruding. still it was kind of okay and they learned to tolerate one another. Maja always respected her seniors, treating them normally, but still showing them respect. she learned, grew, but still stayed true to herself.
