Personality: She's quite shy and silent most of the time, but she likes to have a say in desitions. Though she's shy, se likes gettin to know people, slowly. Even the rest of the members had a hard time getting her to open up to them, but when she did, she was the most cutest and nicest thing they had ever seen. She likes to help others and the likes to clean and cook for her unnies and 'oppa'. She was like that before the fire and she still is after the fire.

Though that she's the youngest, she is also pretty mature for her age. She matured a lot more after the fire. Before she was allways the curious one, she could never get enough knowledge of how things and such worked. But now, she is more calm and collected and know how the most things work already.

When she was around others, except from the rest of the members, as said she's shy and quiet, but when with them: she does aegyo, act silly and does her best to greate a good and fun atmosphere. But when the time or situation calls for it, she is rational, serious and good at figuring things out fast. She's always gentle and sweet towards her unnies and her friends, but can turn into the Devil if someone threatens her friends or the people that she love.

On stage and on variety shows, she is seen as the cute and fun magnae. She lives up to that image. She also has a puppy an Australian Shepherd named Eol-Eum. It means Ice, because of her ice-blue eyes. She saved that dog from an animal shelter long after the fire. She loves that dog as much as she would love a baby, if she ever got one.

1. Cook. One time their leader almost burned down the kitchen, trying to boil ramyeon, so Minkya decided that she would try to cook for them. The rest of the members loved her cooking so they baned the leder from the kitchen and appointed Minkya as their chef.

2. Draw. She likes to draw and paint, mostly animals and canvases, but occationley people. Her leader taught her how to do it.

3. Playing piano. Over the years she has learned how to play the piano. You can find her at the piano in her room when she want's to be alone and just lose herself in music.

4. Read. She has always liked to read, she has always liked to know and learn new things.

5. Taking care of the members. She takes care of the members as how a mother would. Though that she's the youngest, she acts more motherly in a good way.

Dislikes: 

1. Being interupted when playing piano. She would be interrupted and more frustraited at that they would wake her up from her daydreaming.

2. 'Visits' people in their dreams. When she died and came back, she figured she could send her soul into other people when they are asleep. She sometimes does that to the other members in her group. Mainly becasue she's worried about them.

Background:

Her father met her mother when he was on a trip to Korea with his wife when he was 27, her mother was 19 and worked as a waitress to earn money for school. Her father's korean was very limited, the same as his wife, so he asked her mother to teach him Korean. Ainjae had studied in China so he could speak it fluently so she had no problem with teaching him. His wife didn't like that he was getting comfortable with Ainjae, so she tried to make them stay away from each other as much as possible, but it didn't work. They fell in love and then 9 months later, just after Ainjae turned 20 and graduated school, she had Minkya.

Xiajo got to know this and assigned spies to follow after Ainjae when she left the hospital. They gave her updates on what she was doing at all times without her husband knowing. Two years into the whole ordeal, she had a son named Hangeng. But she never loved him, all she wanted and that was on the thoughts all the time for two years after his birth. Chang, on the other hand loved him a lot, Hangeng was his little prince, while Minkya was his little princess.

Xiajo had the spies following Ainjae for 4 years (after she left the hospital), until she gave them the order to kill her. Ainjae died on the 25th of Devember 1985. When Chang heard that Ainjae was dead, he was devasted, he still loved her a lot. So he did the only thing he could do at that time, he took Minkya in to his house and gave her the name Han Meixiu. She stared going to school, she got to know Hangeng better and they came to love each other as much as any siblings would. When Minkya was old enough she started doing ballet, since every other girl did that she wanted to too. She soon became one of the best dancers.

Xiajo still didn't accept her as her child, she sees her as a 's daughter who slept with her husband, and she treated her as such.  But Chang and Hangeng was always with Minkya so Xiajo couldn't do anything. One day when her ballet school were going to have a show, Lee Soo Man was there to watch it, he saw how great Minkya was at dancing so he decided to talk to her, by then she was 13 years old. When the show was over and Minkya was with her father and brother Soo Man stroded over to them and spoke with them and said that he was founding an entertainment company and that he was willing to let Minkya become a trainee. She said she wanted to go and Chang knew he had to let her go and live her dream.

A week later Minkya was at the airport on her was to South Korea with Lee Soo Man when her father said to her that her mother's dream also had that she wanted to become a singer, so Minkya said that she would make him, her mom and brother proud. When she was ready to go she went with teary eyes and a promise of a life time: "I'll never give up! No matter what I will become a singer, I will live mom's dreams as if it was her's." Minkya had always wanted to be some kind of performer, singer, dancer, actor, what ever in the performing industry. And by hearing her mother's dream was to becoming a singer, her ambitions and dreams of becoming a singer increased a hundred fold. And she would stop at nothing to accomplish that dream.

In 1996 the fire happended, it reached all the way to China and to Chang and Hangeng. When they heard of the news, they were even more devaster as it wasn't even a body of her they could bury. Xiajo was thrielled to hear that Minkya was dead, because then, w\she wouldn't have a bastard of a daughter. Chang and Hangeng went to Korea to have a chat with Lee Soo Man about the incident, but Hangeng decided to become a trainee at SME to fulfill Minkya's dream of becoming a performer. 

The first months were very hard on both Hangeng and Chang, they barely did anything at all, but with Minkya's new ability to go into peoples dreams she went into Changs and Hangengs dreams and told them her last wished through them. She didn't want them to go into despair because of her and just live life to the fullest, live life like it's their last day. And never to give up on their dreams and accomplishments.

She finished with a "Wo ai ni" to the both of them. (Wo ai ni, means I love you in chinese.)

What's the dream?: She want's to be one of the best of the best singers out there with her group. She want's to find the kind of love her mother found in her father, a love which would last for an eternity. She want's to show her brother that anything is possible, but only if you believe in it. She want's to set an example for people to never ever give up on the things you want to do no matter who you are and no matter where you are. The sky is the limit. But she hopes to find a love who would love her for who she is and wouldn't try to change her, ever.

Trainee Years: She was treated fairly well by all the other traineew at the start, but it changed when they saw her as a threat to them to debut sooner. They started to try and sabotage her by putting stuff's in her drinks that made her lose her voice, tehy tripped her a lot, mostly down stairs (but it was only the girl trainees). The boys didn't care what they did, they cared about what happened to me. If i had wounds they would bandage it for me and see to that I was fine. When YG promised to let them debut she was quite worried about how they would make it, but the leader assured her that it was going to be ok and it did! And with the treatment she got at SM she didn't care what the others thought of her. She was finally gonna debut with her sisters, and oppa!! The training Shin put us through was hard at first, but I it up and went with it, she only did that to improve our skills and because she wanted us to be the best group ever!

Usually Minkya is quite shy around new people, but Sungyeol was different. He was such a fun person to be around and when he laughed, she laughed. She had never felt that before for anyone else, when you were at his dorm she felt sad that she wouldn't see him again, but he grabed her hand, found a pen (dunno where it came from) and wrote down his number so she could contact him anytime. The parted was, both with smiles on their faces. At nights when Sungyeol is asleep, Minkya finds her way into his dreams and spends time with him then too.
