style — Adaline's style is very feminine. She loves skirts, dresses and nice shirts. If she could she would have only worn dresses. But she can't handle high heels, so she's usually uses regular, but stylish sneakers, but they have to have insoles. If she has to use high heels she uses wedges. But sometimes when she goes out she would wear clothes which are a little too big for her. She's more comfortable with big clothes. She even stole some of her boyfriends t-shirts to wear while she sleeps.

personality —
// Adaline as first is seen as a quiet, shy and timid girl, but as you get to know her she is funny and outgoing. She shy around new people. She's pretty much quiet, but she's sharp. She notices things that others don't, since she takes time to analyze the situations around her. She's not one to show emotions easily or freely like the rest of her clan, but she's opened up to them a lot, now she even starts conversations. Before she couldn't stand people touching her without her permission, but now she can handle being hugged suddenly by them. She likes skin-ship since that is the way for her to show her affections beside speaking. She is a soft spoken person, she rarely raises her voice to anyone.

 

// Though she's quiet most of the time, she really cares a lot for the members of her clan and her family. Though she too has her moments when she can let herself go. She's also very strong and competitive, but it doesn't show all that much, so every time people see her strength, they are always surprised. She's also very protective of the people she cares the most about, like a lioness with her cubs. She will voice it if people get on her nerves as a warning and if the person still hasn't backed off she will back them off personally.

 

// She's also insecure, because the way she is and the fact that she's a vampire only furthers her insecurities. Since she's from a well off enough family of vampires she's had the pressure to be that she has to be perfect in everything. But she's always insecure if what she's doing is right, if it is perfect enough for the people around her, and what they would think of her. As for the people around her she's insecure about how to approach them, since she's pretty shy and quiet. Adaline doesn't voice her insecurity because she doesn't want to seem weak in front of others. To her, insecurity is a weakness.

home is where the heart is. 

background — Adaline was born in London, UK to a family of vampires. The family consists of her mother, father and her older twin brothers. Their families/clan all originated from South Korea, but they made a rule to not have Korean names. The reason was because they (way before Adaline was born) had decided to not have any connection to South Korea because of the government didn't allow any form of coexistence (again long before Adaline was born and the Gangnam Treaty of 1990) and they were forced to move. They felt wronged and decided to not have any connection other than their blood.

Adaline has always been interested in her mother country. But because of the animosity her clan had towards it, sha had to keep her interest on the downlow. She always tried to sneak out to learn about the country. She would read books find pictures and would secretly learn the language. Her family only spoke English in spite towards their home country. It was her family's secrecy that led to her fasination. And she would continue her ways into adulthood.

When their family heard of the Gangnam Treaty after over 100 years in London. Adaline told her family of her interest in Korea. Her parents weren't the happiest with her, but they could understand it, but when she voiced her wishes to return and build a name for herself. Her parents said no. They didn't want their only daughter to go back to the country they were forced out of. She was very angry and upset that they wouldn't allow her to go. So in 2000, ten years after the treaty, when her parents were gone on clan-buissness, she packed all her money, some clothes and left in the night to leave to Korea. 

When she arrived, it was anything she could have imagined! All the people and the few vampires were living together! It was amazing! She checked in to a hotel (until she could by something for herself) nad went on a stroll in the streets. As she was marvelling in the sights, a young boy ran into her by accident and he fell down and scraped his elbow. Adaline immediately felt bad and bent down to help him. She talked to him and looked back to see his friend running up behind him asking if he was okay. Adaline introduced herself as "Ada" and helped the boy up to his feet while cheking that he wasn't too hurt. All the boys were starstruck at seeing her as she was very beautiful. Neither of them would ever forget that woman, especially the boy who ran into her; Shin Hoseok.

As the years went by, her family was okay with her living in Korea and as they heard she founded a clan "Vesta", they were so proud. Of course they were angry she ran away, but they are once again on speaking terms. But all the time she lived in Korea, she has kept it secret that she was a vampire, even if she was there and there was a treaty, she was still carefullc and didn't stay in the same city for more that 5 years at most. She's lived in the big cities and in the mountains. 

When she again returned to her house in Gangnam after 15 years, again she went and took in the new sights of the city and decided to go and get some coffee in the local coffee shop. When she entered she went to the glass display she heard her name being called from behind her. She stood confused for a while but turned to look at the one who called her. She took in the appearence of the man and right away she noticed his eyes.  He reminded her of the little boy for crashed into her after she moved there. She didn't think she would be recognized after 15 years of not being anywhere close to the city. She looked long and hard at him before deciding to run away he ran after her and managed to catch her. He looked at her confused and demended an explanation. She they sat down for coffee and she told him why she traveled and assumed that he would have forgotten her since they only met once when he was 7. He told her he never forgot, not even his friends forgot.

They continued to meet after that, but Adaline was always so insecure. She was a vampire, first and foremost, but Hoseok, or Wonho as he wanted her to call him, didn't care about that. He cared about her a lot and after a while, he confessed and she accepted and they began their relationship. The public was quick to figure out since Wonho was a famous model and he had fans at basically every corner in the streets. They were bound to be found out. Wonho didn't care all that much, but Adaline was doubting her choice in going out with him, she's never hated being what the was more than at that moment. Wonho was a sweetheart during this ordeal and when She came public that she was what she was, people took it in stride, while some were not pleased that a human and a vampire were a couple, other rejoiced in the idea. And now they are as happy as they can be.

▪ Father | Sirius James | Sirius is very protective of his family and of his clan. He is the leader of British-Korean vampire clan called "Nox". He's strict and leads with a firm, but fair hand. Adaline greatly admires her father and his leadership-skills and aspire to be just as good of a leader as he is. Sirius is also a loving father and is willing to go to war to help/protect his family.

▪ Mother | Nicolette James | Nicolette, or Nicole as her closest calls her is a loving wife and mother. She is very close to Adaline they are like best friends but Nicole is aslo strict when she has to be. It was Nicole who adviced Adaline to move to Korea where their ancestors originated from.

▪ Older Brother | Jasper James | Jasper is the most overprotective brother out of them. He always had to know who she wnt out with, vampires and humans alike. He and his brother are leaders of their own clan called "Nightworth". Jasper was against the idea of Adaline moving to Korea because he couldn't be there to protect her. Adaline had to reasure him that she would be fine. But he still likes to keep tabs on him.

▪ Older Brother | Joshua James | Joshua is the more lenient of the brothers. He's also protective but not to the extent that Jasper has. Joshua actually approved of Adaline moving, but he was the most affected. When she was preparing to take the flight and was hugging everyone goodbye. He started crying and wouldn't let go. Sirius had to physically remove him and he sulked for a month after. He is co-leading "Nightworth" with his older twin brother Jasper.

 

friends — 

▪ Amber Liu | Ex-girlfriend-turned-best-friend | Amber was Adaline's girlfriend while she still lived in London. They broke-up on good terms and Amber has become Adaline's best friend, even though she secretly wishes to be together once again with Adaline. Amber's also a vampire.

▪ Jung Krystal | Friend | Krystal in the only other human who knows about Adaline being a vampire. Krystal got in trouble one night when she was going home from work and was assaulted and draged to an ally. Adaline was a few blocks away and smelled Krystals blood and heard her screams as her attackers smashed her head against a wall to knock her out. Adaline saved her by scaring them off. She may have broken some of their bones, but was careful to not spill any blood or else she would loose herself. She helped Krystal to a hospital, called Krystals boyfriend and stayed with her until he got there.

▪ Kim Jongin | Friend | Jongin is Krystal's boyfriend and they met at the hospital. He thanked her many times for saving Krystal's life and from then on they have been very good friends.

▪ Kim Joonmyeon | Friend, Second in command | Joonmyeon, or Suho has been Adaline's friend since she set foot in Korea. When Adaline confined in Suho about founding a clan of vampires, he was first sceptical about it, but when Adaline proposed he should be her Second. He couldn't say no, he's become like a brother to her during their years together.

the one and only.

relationship  — Wonho treats her like a princess. Adaline hates to be pampered and showered with gifts and such. But that doesn't stop him from pampering her sometimes, like taking her out on a date and giving her gifts. Wonho is Adaline 's rock. Adaline is quite careful and motherly towards her clan and she's been told it's unbelievable for her to be a vampire, which makes her a target for enemy clans. When she has hard times, he's always there for her. Even if he's at work and she calls him with a problem, he reschedule's for another time to be with her. 

 

To Wonho, Adaline is his sanctuary. He wal allways stressed about work and his studies. He studies composition at Seoul University (he plan to make his way into music as well). Adaline has been a balance point in his life. Whenever he's stressed he will call her and just talk and when he gets home they cuddle on the couch and watch a movie or she'll just listen to him. Sometimes Adaline visits him whlie on work, he's always surprised she does, since she's busy herself. Adaline also call him by his given name: Hoseok, instead of Wonho. Hoseok also allow Adaline to feed from him. She didn't want to at first, since she could hurt him, but he was persistent. He's also said they if there ever was a way for him to become like her, he wouldn't hesitate to go through with it. He loves her that much.

meeting  — The first time they met was almost right after Adaline moved to South Korea and Hoseok was 7. Him and his friends were playing tag and he ran into Adaline, fall on the ground and scraped his elbow. Adaline helped him and dusted him off while his friends caught up with him. Hoseok was embarassed, but Adaline complimented him for not crying and being a big boy.  She then sent them on their way and she continued on with her day, but Hoseok never forgot her and always hoped to see the beautiful woman again.

The second time they met was in a coffee shop. Hoseok has just turned 23 and was on his way to by coffe after work and saw a familiar back. No matter how cheesy it seemed he recognized it and called out her name. Adaline turned around, she had no difficulities noticing who he was. ehn she figured out who he was, she tried to run away, but managed to stop her and asked for an explanation. For some reason, she told him everything. She felt a weird attraction towards him, now not to sound weird but she felt drawn to him as well when he was a kid. This feeling had gotten stonger over the years, but she didn't notice until she saw him again they day. They continued to meet, but Adaline was always insecure since she didn't want to hurt him as he's the best thing that has happened to her.

relationship  — Considering Adaline is dating MinJae's ex-boyfriend, their relationship is not the best. MinJae is jealous of her, but Adaline is always ignoring her whenever they meet. MinJae is always out to cause trouble with Adaline. There isn't much to say about their relationship. But MinJae doesn't know Adaline is a vampire.

meeting  — They met while Adaline and Hoseok were on a date and she saw them walking down the street and decided to intervene. She introduced herself as Hoseok's ex, and she was overly friendly with him, you could see evey inch of him was tense and Adaline could feel the annoyance radiating out of him and tried to get him away from the girl, it worked after a while, but MinJae took it a step further by kissing his cheek before leaving. Adaline asked what happened between them and he said the while they were together, she tried to get together with his best friend Hyungwon. And when Hyungwon told him what happened, he didn't believe him at first, but he kept an eye on her and caught her red handed one time Hyungwon was visiting. He broke up with her on the spot.
