Reika minds her own business and hates drama, but will stand up for herself or others if she feels wronged or the situation calls for it. Somehow with her quiet nature, she makes others nervous when she walks by or hovers without saying anything. This is just that Reika is quite shy, prefers to observe than speak in general, and may look unapproachable, but Reika is very considerate and thoughtful. Still that depends mostly on her mood and such during the time or overall. Reika gives space to others and reacts only when spoken to or has something to say. Becomes friendlier after getting to know someone and actually has deep conversations with those that she becomes quite close with and feels some sort of connection. Still, once the trust between you and her is broken, she won't trust you again and will either just tolerate you or ignore you from her life.

DEATH DATE. Winter of 1984.

BACKSTORY. Tachibana Reika was originally born as Sakurai Ayaka (櫻井 彩香) in 1962 on June 29th in Fushimi, Kyoto, Japan. She dreamed of becoming an actress after watching the works of Wakao Ayako since young. Reika was born an only child and raised in a two parent household where at first her father wasn't supportive of her dream yet her mother was. Reika's father soon changed his mind when Reika got casted for a film in 1978 which soon launched the rest of her short career until late 1984. In her short career, Reika met Ayako and was able to work alongside her in a few works as well as becoming a fast favorite under Ayako's guidance.

Later on a year or two later, Reika actually caught feelings for another actress as well as an actor who both reciprocated the same feelings back although the relationship between them were just professional and nothing romantic. Reika wanted to remain out of the spotlight of having a public relationship. Unfortunately, the actor persisted on pursuing a relationship or at least going out for a meal or whatever. Yet Reika declined his offer unless they went out as a group or with others in which made the actor upset. Of course, Reika had no problem hanging out or going out for a meal with the other actress though.

So over time the actor continued his constant pursuit despite being rejected repeatedly which caused Reika in wanting to talk with him about it. The timing wasn't right until it finally came when she, the actor, the actress, other cast members, and some of their filming crew went on a trip to Jeonju, North Jeolla, South Korea. It was a winter vacation in celebration after successfully filming the last scenes of their drama series.

It did not go quite well as they met late one cold winter night after the others went to sleep at the top of the city's stairs in a semi-secluded obscure area. An argument ensue with the actor being quite aggressive and even more persistent in demanding why Reika wouldn't want to date him. Eventually she told him that she was more in love with someone else other than him and wouldn't provide the name of who. He lashed out, saying she slept her way to where she was and filled with rage, he pushed Reika down the flight of stairs. He immediately ran off in a panicked state without bothering to check in on her, leaving her to bleed out to her death. Reika's last thoughts were of her parents and the actress to whom she never got to confess her true feelings to.

AFTER DEATH. Reika still feels weirded out by the whole thing. Everything is still fuzzy, but she's taking it one step at a time. At first, Reika thought it was absurd about being brought back to life. Yet, comparing her present self to her past self, there couldn't be any other explanation for it. So Reika decided to give herself a new name for this new life. She also gave herself a new birthdate, being the day she came back to life and the last age she felt herself being. The same for a new birthplace of which she remembered visiting a lot. She doesn't recall what led up to her death, but all that she recalls from that time is it being dark and cold. A majority of her memories are missing, fuzzy, or she can't remember at all, but she figures that it would come back to her eventually.

As of now, Reika is still a big fan of Wakao Ayako and continues to watch her works. She's slowly adjusting to her new surrounding while slightly being flustered of other things. In a way, Reika is re-learning a lot of stuff, both old and new and how to function better in this society. She takes Korean lessons, visits museums and parks, goes on a stroll around the area when the weather's good, and talks with the others, especially with Eunwoo about random things. Because Reika still wonders why Eunwoo chose her of all people to be resurrected and not left back home. Eunwoo just tells her is that fate led them to each other. Reika still doesn't get it, but leaves it alone.

Reika's body unfortunately never returned back to her home country and stayed in South Korea. This was due to some miscommunication and an invesigation case into what had happened as she was a foreigner that died away from home. Not much came up and those close to her return home while her body remained. Her parents tried to fight for her to be returned home, but there was nothing they could do and had to accept that their daughter wasn't coming home to them. The drama still aired and the actor got away with his crime, living without guilt.

TRAINING. Reika struggled a lot, especially in the dance department. Like extremely a lot. She was clumsy and it took a long time for her body to even become as flexible for her move easily, especially when she's been lifeless for like four decades. Not to mention that it took Reika longer to memorize the choreography and even the music. Heck, she preferred memorizing lines and learning to act them out. Reika thought she could hit certain notes, but that was clearly proven wrong when instructed to do her scales and such. Anyways, she preserved while thinking of it like a role she wanted to obtain. This changed her mindset and she grew accustomed to the idol training. Of course, there were days she disliked it and other days she enjoyed it. More often than not, she found herself improving and that it wasn't so bad after all. Anyways, to brush up on her skills she came early, left late, came on her days off some times, and just practice until she was satisfied with the results for the day.
DORM LIFE. Reika hears a lot through the walls, but ignores it. Not her problem and doesn't have issues while sleeping either. She keeps her room neat and by that, it may look like a mess to others, but to her it's her organized mess since it's her space to be however she wants. Reika's room is beige color with an accent wall that is pastel green and the ceiling is white. There's a bed with ChocoCat bedding, a study desk, a small book shelf with several books she has read and others she may plan to read, another small desk for art supplies, and other smaller furniture to fill up the room to make her feel at home. Oddly enough, Reika does have quite a collection of random stuffed animals situated in her room, too, from either buying or receiving as a gift. Oh, but Reika does have one lovely poster of Wakao Ayako taken during the 1960s.
LIFE STYLE. Reika lives life without drama and is just enjoying the little things. She's pretty basic, minimalistic, and simplistic. Of course her eating habits aren't that healthy, but it's cheap at best. Reika eats to live and is not living to eat. She exercises with her training, but does put in her steps on her walks around the area when she isn't practicing. Reika isn't all that active, but not that unactive either.
DAILY ROUTINE. Reika's daily routine switches every other day. Most days it consists of waking up, practicing, resting, eating, back to practicing, then another break to eat and rest, back to practicing, and repeat. Often times, she'll study in the early hours, resting and chilling, and practice later in the late afternoon. Once or twice every two weeks, Reika spends it going to the museums or parks, making art works, and or doing nothing. Reika prefers to change up her routine as to not feel so mundane and to keep herself at least rested and not overwhelmed.

CURRENT FEELINGS. Reika feels more nonchalant about her new life as a zombie, but a bit apprehensive about being in a girl group more over. Reika doesn't mind the new adventure, but she wonders if some time down the road of the near future if something will happen that would cease her to live longer and just drop dead once more. Still, every now and then, Reika has this weird feeling like a void of some sort is missing from her life and doesn't know what is is or how to go about it. So she just ignores it and tries to go on with her life as best as possible.

COMMENTS. hi! i hope Reika is fine and dandy, but if not, then please do let me know about any revisions! i did some reserach to fit her character for the 80s at the time and then relating it later to present day. but yeah, good luck with the story and hope more characters get submitted by the deadline.

QUESTIONS. The Love Interest, i have an idea for a love interest, but rather leave it vague or even up to you if you'd like. well, the idea is one of those plots whereby the actress has passed, but was an organ donor. so her heart//brain gets transplanted into someone else and that person starts gravitating towards Reika and Reika to them, but even she doesn't know why due to her own hazy memories and feelings.
