Yiyeon's pretty much the girl next door and is down to earth when you get to know her. Hates real life drama and doesn't wanna take any part of it, but usually it somehow gets her involved with it due to others. Yiyeon goes with the flow without making too much of a fuss as long as it isn't an inconvenience to her or others. She's reserve and observant majority of the time and likes to take in her surrounding, and watch the scenery and enjoy the silence, if Yiyeon's able to. She speaks when spoken to and is always polite and tries to be friendly. Has a motherly-caring kind of nature within her that she takes care and cleans up after people despite it not being her own mess. Yiyeon's also a person who is loyal and doesn't betray someone's trust and is not that easily influenced by others.

Yiyeon at times does things without thinking until it's too late, but it's never to the point of harm of others. When provoked or angered, Yiyeon unleashes a new side of her that many people do not see often, and she usually lets the other person or those around her to let her be by being cold and indifferent or very short in her responses. It's one of the few things Yiyeon doesn't want people to see her as since it's a very emotional side of her she feels slightly ashamed of. Yiyeon also gets annoyed when she's left out of things if people invite her to hang out and do not engage her in things, and when she does she's polite and makes small talk, but if the other party doesn't keep up and just go back to doing whatever and ignore her, she will dislike them discreetly. Yiyeon grew up in a fairly middle class family, but she was raised more by her older sister, Yiseul, than by her own parents due to their absences caused by work. Of course this caused friction at times, but with how Yiyeon and her sister's home life was, the two actually grew closer than apart despite their of seven years. Yiseul learned as she went in caring for Yiyeon whereas Yiyeon learned everything from watching and being around her sister. Yiyeon at first didn't strive to become a singer or an idol or even thought about going into the entertainment business. She actually wanted to pursue a career as a florist and opening her own flower shop in the future. She enjoyed the notion that flowers had meanings that they could convey to those around them that they couldn't be done with spoken words.

Anyways, it just happened that one day during a school festival event Yiyeon ended up singing and performing as a volunteer, but she received a lot of encouragement and compliments that made her think about it. Anyways, as time went on, the thought of becoming a singer became stronger than becoming a florist. A majority of Yiyeon's childhood memories are filled more with Yiseul than of her parents that she feels like she doesn't know who they are. Eventually the sisters became estranged from their parents and moved to Seoul permanently when Yiyeon pursued the singer path with Yiseul supporting her after signing into an entertainment company after appearing on K-pop Star Season 2. Yiseul was the only person that supported Yiyeon despite all the training time that drained her, but she continued to strive for this new dream of hers especially when she had the support of her sister. It wasn't easy, and Yiyeon's company encouraged her to try out acting as it'll gain her some experience, too. She took their advice and took acting lessons while lessening her idol training.

trainee & idol life. 

— After K-pop Star 2, Yiyeon spent her days training in vocals, rap, and dance after signing to LOEN Entertainment in early 2013. A few months later, while training to be a part of their future girl group, Melody Day, one of the higher-ups suggested for Yiyeon to take up acting lessons instead and pulled her away from the lineup. This was due to the aura she gave off as a budding actress than a singer at the time, but allowed her to continue her idol training for the mean time. Soon enough, her schedule drifted more towards acting whereby she would have to make time for any singing lessons on her own accord. Then some time in late 2013 to early 2014 she found herself debuting as an actress than preparing to debut as a singer.

— After being a small time actress and singing for OSTs, during the merger of the companies and what not, the same higher-ups believed Yiyeon was ready for an official idol debut. This was more due to the persuasion of her manager who knew that Yiyeon still longered to be a idol performer than an actress. Maybe it's why she woul grab any chance she could get to perform a song for a show or film. So, the higher-ups suggested for her to audition for The Rising to showcase her abilities and if not, then at least she tried and could go back to her acting career.

— Um, I actually got into painting and drawing lately. Not the best, but decent, I believed. I watched this anime, Blue Period and it piqued my interest in the arts.

what do you think about once again debuting.

— Honestly, nerve-wracking as I'll be debuting as an actual singer now and not just for an Original Soundtrack. This is a lot more different than acting.
