After Sunset

The sun was setting; the sun’s rays began to fade as the darkness crept up upon the warm orange. The ombre sky shown itself prominently through the small window in the Yeongwon practice room, where a certain dancing diva was perfecting her complicated choreography. 

The dance room was like a home away from home. It her special place within the entire SM building. If she was ever troubled she would dance. It was as if she was possessed. Her body would flow with the music naturally. It was effortless. Dancing was not only her outlet for stress, but it was a way she could communicate to the world. It was what she loved to do.

All week she has been practicing nonstop. Since she was the lone representative of Yeongwon during this competition she had to make sure she did well. She has to make this chance worthwhile. She was even forced to miss her ‘Yeobo’s’ Birthday due to mandatory practices. Of course she made sure to suffocate her with birthday wishes laced with aegyo, but it still wasn’t the same. That is why she was going to dedicate this soon to be Yeongwon victory to her ‘Yeobo.’ Cause honestly what is a ‘Jagiya’ without her ‘Yeobo’.  (Someone wants to beat Sehun. XD)

As she was finishing up her routine for the umpteenth time, she heard a knock on the door. She quickly hit the pause button on her ipod and ran to get the door. To her surprise it was none other than EXO’s charismatic dancer / unicorn, Zhang Yixing…with snacks!

“Hey, there, can…I come in?” Yixing held up his bag of groceries as an offering. “I come with food?”

Aejung smiled and gestured for him to come in. “Sure, only cause you have food.” She joked. He walked into the practice room slowly. He was amazed at the size of it. He was used to a much bigger room, but the room did have a standard SM cloudy skys background. He was pretty fond of the background himself. The symbolism was ama…

“Lay?”

“Yes?!” Her voice shook him out of her his reverie

“No…the chips…you bought lays?” Aejung pointed to the grocery bag he was holding. Funny how hungry you are once the music stops.

“Oh! Yeah… I didn’t know which one you liked so…I got the ones with…me on it?” His cheeks turned a bright red. He swore his whole choosing process sounded a lot better in his head.  

“It is cool. I love barbeque flavored chips!” With that, they began eating and passionately talking about dancing. They discussed the multiple styles; various dance moves, and pretty much anything. It was simply amazing how much they have in common. This was precisely the reason why Yixing always decided to stay behind after EXO’s dance practice. His fellow members believe that he is piously practicing his choreography. Which he did, but he would always pay a visit to his favorite dancer beforehand. What could he say? He was a black hole after all.

Before they knew it several hours passed by as if it were several minutes. Aejung’s phone went off.

Jagiya! Where are you?! Saebaby is throwing a maternal hissy fit, and Jaestar is trying to talk some sense into her, but you know how she gets. How can you leave me with them?! Hurry back! Your ‘Yeobo’ misses you!

“Oh boy…”

“Something wrong?” His voice laced with concern.

“Yeah my friends are worried. I have to go soon.” As she started to get up she felt a hand holding her back.

Yixing, owner of said hand had absolutely no idea what he was doing until he actually did it. Truthfully he didn’t want her to leave just yet, but he just didn’t know how to articulate it. So grabbing her hand was the next best thing. “Um…how about we dance? You know, before you leave, just for fun?” Yep. That was his best excuse, dancing.

“Sure! Hey! Show me how to dance to History.” Aejung enthusiastically got up and started to flip through her ipod for EXO-M’s History. Yixing couldn’t help but smile at her enthusiasm when it comes to dancing. Through his eyes, she has the cutest facial expressions when she dances. Well it was either that or the expression she has when she screams, ‘Wo de FACE?!’ He was totally biased. (Indeed he is. XD)

“Whose part did you want to learn?” He wasn’t the EXO-M’s main dancer for nothing. He knew everyone’s part. He would rather teach her his parts, but it was always polite to let her pick. ‘Please don’t pick Chen’s.’

“You know EVERYONE’S part?”

“Yeah…” He rubbed the back of his head shyly.

“That is AWESOME! You have a lot of members too. Can I learn your part?” She looked at him in awe.

Upon hearing her selection he was overwhelmed will happiness. “Sure let’s start from the top.”

Both dancers started to dance. Their moves were flawlessly coordinated. Every step was precise, calculated, and overflowing with emotion. They were both in perfect synchronization; it was as if they were moving as one. (WE ARE ONE, WE ARE EXO!)

 As they were about to hit the dance break, Aejung slipped. It was as if she was falling in slow motion. (Get in slow motion~) Yixing, who was the one watching her as she was falling in slow motion quickly caught her just in time. Though they both toppled over and were now on the floor.

“Owww.” Aejung whined. She started to rub her ankle. She didn’t suffer any serious injuries, but regardless falling on your still hurt.

Upon hearing that Yixing immediately jumped up and started to massage her ankle. “Are you okay? Does your leg hurt? I don’t think it is sprained…I think we…”

“Yixing, it is okay. I am fine.”

“No you are not you have to compete soon!” He diligently continued to massage her ankle.

“I am…” But before Aejung was able to try to convince him futher, he raised his finger to his mouth signaling for her not to argue with him.

“I am a unicorn. I know what I am doing.” He winked playfully.

“Yah! Zhang Yixing!”Aejung hit his arm, and giggled.

And that was how Yeongwon’s Lady Knight and her faithful Unicorn…spent their evening… (Sorry I had too! XD)
