Her nonchalant mannerisms and behaviors is for her and not how someone should expect her to unless it's work-related. Still, she respects people's boundaries and engages in a friendly manner, but seems more curt and polite if she doesn't know the person that well. Reika's down to try new things even if she isn't incline to do so, but a part of her wants to experience things at least once. Then again, Reika will do everything with a cool attitude despite feeling all anxious and nervous on the inside. Some times she can be a bit playful that may go too far or be misunderstood by the other party if not explained properly. Most of the time Reika's comfortable being in her own world and doing her own thing without having to please others or allow them to judge her for being different. DIGGING DEEPER
BACKGROUND/HISTORY. Reika is the youngest of two siblings with an older brother along with a father and a mother. She's closer to her brother than she is to her parents, but she still loves them and knows they're just looking out for her in their own way. Reika never planned on being an idol or going into the entertainment business in an active way. She wanted to be a manga artist or work with animation in the future. Of course her parents didn't approve and wanted her to study in the medical or business field. They made a compromise that if she got into one of the top university then she could study whatever she wanted. They agreed and she applied and got accepted into Waseda University which had a great Arts department. So it was a win-win for everything. That was until a different path appeared before Reika.
Reika just happened to accompany her friends to an audition for several companies to be a trainee for the fun of it when they went to Seoul for winter vacation. Reika somehow ended up being scouted by an SM Entertainment representative to come to the company and audition of sorts due to her tall height and appealing face. Reika brushed it off and that she didn't understand them, but surprisingly the scout knew basic Japanese. Still, she informed the person that she wasn't interested, but her friends told her to just try it out since they could brag that they had a model friend who appeared in the K-POP idols' music videos and go into acting and what not. Anyway, Reika accepted the card and went for an audition of sorts, but another SM Entertainment representative thought she had a special quality about her and that she could potentially become an idol if she worked hard at it. So, Reika found herself as a trainee for SM Entertainment instead of her friends who initially wanted to become K-POP trainees.

Reika blamed the language barrier, but she knew that could only work for so long and truly dedicated herself to get over that hurdle. So, of course over time with constant practice and scolding over te years, Reika improved to be the best of her own self and abilities.
