Personality:

YuWon hardly smiles. He's famous for his deapdan and walks around just not showing any emotion whatsoever. It's the effects of the medication the doctor prescribed to him for his depression. He specifically asked the doctor to make it strong so that he didn't have to feel the hurt or pain anymore but for the same reason, he could no longer feel joy or happiness. He was just a walking statue.

He knows how depression is viewed in Korea, which is why he questions his parents for sending him back to the place where depression is looked down upon the most and wonders why they didn't send him somewhere else, so he tries to stay away from other so they don't find out about it because if they do, surely they would look down at him and ridecule him for having something wrond with him mentally. He drowns everyone out with his music. He problably listens to his iPod 24/7, if not more. If someone approaches him, he shrugs them off or ignores them and walks away.

The only time he really feels is at night when the meds wear off a bit and he's by himself. He doesn't take his meds at night just so that he can feel something and that he isn't so empty. He wishes he can have these emotions all the time but he knows it would harm him more than help him so he does the next best thing, he writes them down. He basically bottles up all the emotions he feels when he's not on the meds and puts them all into a song or a story. He is a gifted writer and composer, probably one of the best out there. The fact that he can play bass guitar, electric, acoustic, drums, and piano just makes it all better.

The only other thing that could bring a smile to his face besides his music are kids. He loves children probably because of the thought that he was supposed to have a little sister. He loves the feeling of playing with kids and just the energy they give off brightens him up. It's like he's a whole new person whenever he's around children.

Background:

Right after he was born in GwangJu, he moved with his parents to Quebec in order to try to expand his father's business there. Why Quebec? Well, he wanted to let YuWon experience a multitude of different cultures seeing as though Canada was a Western country and Quebec was Canada's province that was the most fluent in French. He was an only child until he was 7 so he was pretty lonely since he didn't really have anyone to play with. A few months after he turned 7, his parents told him the news that they would be expecting a baby and that he would be an older brother. He, of course, was ecstatic. He had always wanted a little sister just so that he would protect her. His mother, 6 months into the pregnancy had a miscarriage (I'll go into the parents' side more later) and it basically traumatized him greatly because he lost his sibling and almost lost him mother. Slowly, he began distancing himself from everyone else until he kept to himself completely alone. When he was 15, he was diagnosed with depression and when his parents found out, they wanted nothing to do with him. Psychological disorders were taboo in Korea so he moved away from his family. His parents decided it was best if he left far away so they sent him back to Korea to live on his own.

When did you discover your talent:

Ever since he wasa kid, his parents, being the typical Asian parents, made him take a lot and lot of music lessons which is why he can play so many instruments. He remember when he was really little, his mother would always sing him to sleep and music was a big part of her life. Sicne she was always home with him, they wuold spend the day just singing together. She encouraged him to keep singing and never to forget it. The whole composing thing didn't come until after he was diagnosed with depression. One night, he couldn't take it anymore and just decided to write out anything instead of doing anything he would regret.

Family's Background:

His parents were truly, madly, and deeply in love. They were inseparable so when his father made the announcement he would be moving to Canada for the business, his mother did not hesitate to convince him to bring them with him. When she became pregnant with YuWon's younger sibling, his father was overjoyed, but when the business began failing, he carried his stress from work back to the diner table and YuWon's mother didn't like it one bit. That's when the fighting began. 2nd trimester came and it was disconvered that the baby was indeed a girl nut one day, the day that it was announced that the business was officially bankrupt, his father came home just furious. YuWon's parents had the biggest fight that night and with one accidental blow to his mother's stomach, the three(or four) of them were rushing to the hospital. YuWon's mother was alreding in the 3rd trimester so the miscarriage was fatal. They were able to save her but not without tons of blood transfusions and losing the baby. The added medical bills were a bigger load on YuWon's father. They managed to barely make it through the next few years but their relationships with each other were badly damaged. When they found out that YuWon had depression, his parents just couldn't handle it anymore and sent him away, far away from them so they didn't have any more problems. They occasionally sent him money for rent and necesities, but other than that they cut off all ties with him.

They both lived at some point of their lives in Australia. Hyung Jun came later in his life to Quebec for academic purposes so he was never really good in English. They went to the same school and YuWon, living in Sydney for a big portion of his life and speaking Korean at home to his parents, was able to help him with his English. The two got close because YuWon basically became Hyung Jun's translator.

How did you two meet?:

HyungJun's group of friends in Korea would often come to Quebec just to visit. In the group, there was a total of 5 including HyungJun. It was JungMin, YoungSaeng, KyuJong, and HyunJoong. For some sort of reason, HyunJoong and YuWon just clicked. Most people thing that it's because HyunJoong's 4-Dness balanced out YuWon's quiet nature but either way, they became really close.

Personality: She was the same before and after meeting. She's very mature and the fact that she can just sense how a person is feeling (very acurately) allowed her to get closer to YuWon despite the fact that he kept pushing her away. She knows when she can keep on pestering YuWon to talk to her and get closer and when she should just leave him alone because it's not the right time to talk. She's the time to know her boundaries and not cross them which is very crucial for YuWon since he values the space he has between people. She's not high maintinance.
