• Guitar || It's one of her hobby + passion. She finds comfort while playing the guitar. And it also reminds her of her first love who is also her guitar instructor.
• Music || Her main passion. She likes listening to the classics and trots and even traditional songs. Ballad is her main interest but she likes pop songs too.

She is the silent but charming type of girl. She isnt really quiet , she just doesnt talk alot. But once she does , she can be really funny. Backround:

She was born on 1992 in Gyeonggi-do , South Korea. She is the daughter of a doctor and her mother is a nurse. She has an older sister who is now an idol named Kim Tae Yeon ( SNSD's Taeyeon ) . The family owns a clinic in Seoul where the would help out from time to time. They first lived in Gyeonggi-do but moved to Seoul due to her mother's interest in opening up a clinic there. When they moved to Seoul , Ji Yeon was just 4 years old so she barely remembers her birthplace. They live in a two-story house near the city. They were  neighbours with another Kim family and they have a son named Jongin (EXO-K's Kai ). Kai were two years younger than Ji Yeon so Jiyeon treats him like her own little brother. They grew up together and Kai became closer and closer to Jiyeon as they became ultimate best friends. They were both interested in performing arts . However , Kai was attracted to Dance while Jiyeon was more into singing. At the age of 15 , Jiyeon received a guitar on her birthday and joined a guitar class . She soon fell in love with her young guitar instructor , Park Ji Ho. They became a couple for more than 3 years. But when Jiyeon graduated high school , Ji Ho died due to cancer. Jiyeon was left heartbroken with only Kai by her side. At that time , Taeyeon already debuted into SNSD so she couldnt be there. Kai has already joined SME as a trainee. After regaining her strength , she also audition for SM and got accepted when she was 19. Kai is still trying hard to stay by her side eventhough he's busy with schedule after his debut in EXO.

How you act around eachother: Baekhyun likes to joke around and Ji yeon would just smile accordingly. But they always seem to find a topic to discuss and ended up with Jiyeon talks alot more than she used to. Jiyeon clearly is comfortable around Baekhyun. They tend to practice singing together and Baekhyun really likes to hear to Jiyeon's singing and guitar playing. Baekhyun is always excited in singing the songs Jiyeon wrote and composed. Baekhyun is the second person Jiyeon would cry to. Once , Kai told Baekhyun about Jiyeon's deceased boyfriend. She was considered famous and was envied by most female trainees for her looks , talent , and ofcourse her closeness to the eye candy EXO-K's Kai. Her short time as a trainee was also became an issue among older trainees . But they didnt dare to even touch her let alone beat her up since... well.. Kai would beat them up too. No one wants to be on Kai's dark side. And since they accepted the fact that Jiyeon is talented enough to debut just like Baekhyun who also trained for just a year before debuting in EXO.
