Her hair is long and straight, and raven black. She takes good care of her hair in terms of having a specific schedule for hair washing and owning various products in order to keep her hair healthy, soft, and shiny. On normal days, she doesn't style her hair rather than just leaving it as is. However, when she goes to school, she likes to curl her hair and/or ties it into a ponytail. On formal occasions, there are stylists styling her hair for her.

Areum is naturally pale skinned, double-eyelidded, pink lips, and brown eyes. She's a simple person, and she wears simple make-up. BB-cream, soft colored lipstick, and thin eyeliner. Enough for her to look presentble. Ofcourse, if it's a formal and important event, she will be groomed up by her stylist, and make-up will be applied depends on what type of event she'll attend.

She is 169cm in height and weighs 53kg. She has a slim figure but curvy. She never cared much about her body but she likes to keep a well balanced diet anyway so it helps in keeping her figure.

» Different Situations
She is a very simple person who likes simple clothing and basic colors like white or black that goes with everything. She has no intention of looking sophisticated, but she usually does anyway. She likes the simplicity of skirts but doesn't mind wearing jeans here and there.
She's pretty laid back when it comes to fashion. As long as it's comfy and easy to move in, she's okay with it. Fashion is not her forte and most of her wardrobe are clothes given by her grandfather's personal shopper. She knows enough to put together a good outfit, though.

It is expected for her to wear the uniform properly, and she likes it. She finds the uniform comfy as is, and wears the full uniform with proper skirt length and everything. She likes the black blazer look a lot more, and prefers necktie over bows. On hot days, she'd lose the blazer.

- Jae Hyun grew up in a high class enviroment, but was raised in the hands of his commoner mother. Thanks to his mother, he managed to have a normal childhood and was excused from attending business meetings at a young age. His father never abandoned him, and tried hard to be there for him alongside handling a successful company. But business come first. When Jae Hyun was fifteen, his mother died from cancer and Jae Hyun was pushed into being the heir and didn't have much time to moarn over the death of his mother. He lived his whole teenage life feeling guilty, and snapped when he turned 27. He left his life behind and ran away to Gwangju, and lived a poor life. Until the daughter of a restaurant owner took him in and they fell in love. Jae Hyun never did shun his father away, he even invited his dad to his wedding. However, Jae Hyun's father was too ashamed to face him, and only came to see Jae Hyun when Areum was already 3 years old. They reconciled and thankfully, Areum was able to form a bond with her grandfather. Jae Hyun didn't immediately agree when his father wanted to name Areum as his new heir, but only agreed if Areum is given a choice, and she is free to leave it all once it become too much for her.
» Kang Bong Cha | 40 | Mother | A Cook | She's the only person Areum would willingly call whenever there's a problem. She worries about Areum a lot, but she knows Areum is capable of handling it on her own.
- Bong Cha was furious when her husband agreed in naming Areum as an heir for such a big company. She only wanted her daughter's happiness. When young Areum told her she would gladly help her grandfather out and wanted her mother to stop worrying, she relented.
» Seo Gi Tae | 72 | Grandfather | Chairman of Sinopec Group | He is incredibly fond of Areum and would give the world to her if he could. He was grateful enough that his son forgave him, and vowed to never do the same thing to his granddaughter, so he never forces anything on Areum.

When Areum first came to Seoul, Ki Joon is around her age and they instantly became best friends, being the only kids in the mansion. Even after Areum moved out of the mansion to live alone, Ki Joon moved in the apartment across her just in case. Ki Joon is incredibly protective towards Areum, and he loves her dearly as a little sister. He doesn't keep a leash on Areum, but Areum would call him regularly to let him know her location just to keep him calm.

Areum is the granddaughter of the chairman of Sinopec Group, the leading company in the oil and gas industry with unbeatable revenue. Her father refused to be the heir in order to live a normal life, so he ran away from home, and married a commoner in Gwangju. Areum was born soon after. The chairman is a very loving man and he regretted ever forcing his son into the title. Areum's father also regretted ever running away from home because he knew how important the company for his father, and how his father could only give the company to someone he trusts. But he couldn't come back because his family is his home. The chairman understood, and would regularly come by Jeju Island to visit his son and granddaughter. The chairman became fond of Areum, finding potential in her soft but strong character. When Areum turned twelve, she agreed to become the heir of his grandfathers company, so she moved to Seoul soon after.

Eventhough her father left his upper class life, he was very stern about mannerism and he applied the same method raising Areum. Areum played well with the kids in her neighbourhood, but she dislikes dirt and playing rough is just not her style. Eventhough soft and fragile, the boys would still welcome her to go along with their adventures because unlike the other girls, Areum never critisized their games and would laugh at their jokes. » Swimming - A lot of expectations come from being an heir of an oil company, including being good at sports. Areum hates exercising with all her heart, so swimming seemed suitable. Its calming to be in the water and just float around. She's not a star swimmer, but she's already the student council's president so people dont mind much.
AFTERSCHOOL CLUB
» Book Club - Areum likes the wide range of books that is available at Yonsei Academy. Books has always been her hobby. It's nice to lose herself in an entirely different dimension and escape from reality. She likes to venture into different genre of books and find the underlying meaning behind the whole story. And she likes to share her favorite books with everyone.
BACKGROUND » Sadly, she's not a genius. But she's a fast learner, and she doesn't mind studying. She studies whenever there's free time and doesn't like to procrastinate anyway. Math is her strong point as it's something that doesn't require much reading rather than just understanding the formulas. History and Language are easy for her because she spends her time reading those kind of books anyway. She has to study harder on Science subjects because there's a lot of details that comes into it. She's terrible at Art but she enjoys throwing paint on a canvas and call it a masterpiece. She only passes the class because the Art teacher likes her determination when it comes to finishing her so called 'Masterpiece'.

HOW THEY MET/MEET » Areum was taking a stroll around the academy's park like she usually during recess when she saw Jongin sitting by himself in the abandoned aviary practicing magic tricks with a smile on his face. Areum was never particularly interested in any of the 12-aphelions, but she recognized Jongin as the kid that the other aphrodites hated the most. He has a reputation of being mischievous and a cassanova, so seeing him so immersed in his magic and absolute passion in his eyes was mesmerizing for Areum, and Areum caught herself smiling along. Jongin caught her staring, and was caught off guard when Areum only smiled at him, and left after giving him a nod. It was unusual for an aphrodite to act so civil towards an aphelion, so Jongin wondered what made her smile. Was it his good looking face? Was it his awesome magic? After that, Jongin tried to get Areum to smile again by flirting with her, performing his best tricks in front of her, but nothing made her smile the same way she smiled back at the aviary. He didn't realize that Areum didn't find his talent nor looks attractive, but rather his sheer love for magic.
OUTCOME » After various failed attempt of impressing her and only receiving the same reaction (a calm smile), Jongin almost lost confidence in his ability. Jongin thought that maybe his ability isn't good enough, or maybe he's not good looking enough, and that the reason she smiled so beautifully that day was because the sun hits him at just the right angle making him look angelic and he'd never look as good again now that it's a rainy season. Jongin took a few days off performing magic in front of her and kept his distance. After school, he'd hide in the aviary to run away from Areum's usual stroll around the school, trying to come up with better tricks. He was getting grumpy when none of his tricks seemed good enough, when Areum came in asking "why the frowny face?". He only told her that he's trying to get better, and was startled when Areum said "but you're already really great, though!". And when Areum asked him to do his best tricks, the one he liked to act out the most, he saw Areum smile brightly at him. He knew then that he always want to see her smile that brightly.
Areum saw the good things about Jongin when others never bothered. Although Jongin could never truly put down the walls surrounding him, he trust her enough to see through the wall and witness his true flaws and qualities. Areum is good for Jongin.
So yes, they have a happy ever after.

SCENE REQUESTS » although I know I chose Jongin as my love interest, I'd like it if there are scenes where Baekhyun curses and Areum just stares at him with her eyes twitching. Also, a moment where she bonds with the other aphrodites would be nice.
