Personality : Mijeom. Beautiful. Intelligent. Stubborn. Distant. Does not smile. Although she was not this way. Growing up, she was a very sweet, caring, humble, happy child. However, due to situations in her life, she suffered from depression. She tried to supress this with her immense love of music. When she entered the idol world, her depression started to drift away; it was still there, but barely. This is shown with her lack of expression. On stage, she gives her all and shows her true self. Off stage, she turns back into that emotionless girl. Her cousin(Sehun) and best friend(L) tries to make her open up more, but it’s difficult for her. She thinks “What is the point in smiling when there is nothing else for me to smile about?”

Background: Mijeom was born to a very loving mother and father with older brother. Although she was a very good child, Mijeom did not have many friends. She did not go to school because she could not afford it. So, she spent time at the library reading highschool textbooks. On Mijeom’s 13^th birthday, her family were driving her to her favorite restaurant. Suddenly, a drunk truck driver crashed into the car. Mijeom woke up in the hospital and was told that only her older brother survived. They ended up living at Sehun’s house. On their parents’ death anniversary the next year, her brother, who was 20 at the time, commited suicide due to the immense despression he faced. Mijeom was soon struck with depression as well, she supressed this by listening to music, dancing, and playing piano. A few months after her Sehun joined SM, she decided to join as well. She got into the company when she was 16.

Interaction towards each other: Baekhyun really wanted to get to know Mijeom ever since he first met her. When he found out that Sehun was her cousin, Baekhyun asked him about her and soon found out about her past. He then vowed to Sehun that he would protect Mijeom and help him to make her smile. Mijeom, on ther other hand, is irritated by Baekhyun. She gets annoyed when he tries to talk to her. She pushes him away, but Baekhyun is stubborn and still tries to get close to her. He develops feelings along the way.
