Serin is a pretty laid-back and happy-go-lucky kind of person. She respects people's boundaries and engages in a friendly manner. She's down to try new things even if she isn't incline to do so, but a part of her wants to experience things at least once and does everything with a cool attitude. Some times she can be a bit playful that may go too far or be misunderstood by the other party. Most of the time she's comfortable being in her own world and doing her own thing without having to please others or allow them to judge her for being different.

Serin at times tends to go off on tangents and then recalls what was originally being discussed, but some times just changes topics when she's done talking about it or it doesn't interest her. Other times, Serin can be pretty honest and frank not liking the thought to beat around the bush or over complicate things. Serin is the youngest of two siblings with an older brother along with a father and a mother. She's closer to her brother than she is to her parents, but she still loves them and knows they're just looking out for her in their own way. Serin never planned on being an idol or going into the entertainment business in an active way. She wanted to be a manhwa artist or work with animation in the future. Of course, her parents didn't approve and wanted her to study in the medical or business field as that was more of a status thing. Serin and her parents made a compromise that if she got into one of the top university then she could study whatever she wanted. They agreed and she applied and got accepted into Seoul National University which had a great Arts department. So it was a win-win for everyone. That was until a different path appeared before Serin and led her down a different career.

Serin just happened to accompany her friends to an audition for several companies to be a trainee for the fun of it as she had nothing else to do at the moment. Serin somehow ended up being scouted by a YG K+ representative to become a model due to her tall height and appealing face. She brushed it off that she wasn't interested, but her friends told her to just try it out since they could brag that they had a model friend who appeared in the K-POP idols' music videos and go into acting and what not. Anyways, Serin accepted the card due to her friends than for her own interests and went for an audition of sorts, but another YG representative thought she had a special quality about her and that she could potentially become an idol if she worked hard at it. Serin found herself as a trainee for THEBLACKLABEL in early 2018 instead of her friends who initially wanted to become K-POP trainees in the first place.

trainee & idol life. 

— Serin was an okay dancer, an okay vocalist, and not much of a rapper when she came in for her first training session, but with every day practices and constant scolding by her coaches, she improved her skills. she arrived early, left late, and asked loads of questions to better understand where she may be lacking. Serin wanted to get the basics and fundementals down, but also including her own flair and the likes that suited her best. she focused more on herself instead of those around her as she didn't see them as rivals, but fellow friends going after the same goal.

— after being a trainee for a little over a year, the company decided she was ready for her debut. she released a digital single in late 2019, then another digital single in late 2020. was featured on a remix of another song with other artists a month later. then in 2021 she released two more digital singles before returning to being a trainee once again to honed her skills as an idol as the company decide she should be part of a girl group. as a soloist she went by RinTokki, but for the show, Serin went by her real name.

— Serin was called in for a meeting and thought it to be about another comback, but it was actually to be put into a girl group for The Rising. the higher-ups believed that she would benefit more by being on a show to form a girl group and for her to gain more exposure. the meeting made it seemed like it wasn't a suggestion, but more like a new route for her to take with no choice. PRSONLITY.

He may come off as intimidating at first, but once you really get to know him, Jay is really a down-to-earth sort of guy. He's not afraid to be himself and not afraid to hide the parts of him.
