My actual thoughts on K-Pop and SHINee....

So I bet we all have friends that go, "Wtf, what the hell are you listening to?!"

I have those type of friends. Actually all of my friends are like this....

tumblr_lmctteRvVr1qavmzco1_400.gif

But personally when I discovered Kpop, I was hesitant. I used to accept any type of music but the fact that I don't understand any word from what I was listening to made me, worried?

But I ignored that fact and focused on the melodies, the type of music used. I left the videos out at the beginning, actually I did that to every song I listen to usually because I don't like a video's idea most of the time. They totally ruin the idea of a song.

But when I saw K-pop they brought that whole step-by-step dancing, which I stopped doing from the High School Musical era.

I began to learn the steps and I found an amazing feeling to it all. My dancing became better gradually and I really did feel myself change.

Why is SHINee included in this? Just to say it wasn't my first boy-group that I liked. They seemed really young at first. So i avoided them and stuck with 2pm but they didn't have any new songs at that moment. So I came to like Big Bang, CN Blue then SHINee came.

The truth is I'm not a hardcore fan of any artist, to tell you the truth I might leave SHINee in a month or so. Yeah I'm not loyal at all. I get bored really easily and I don't actually have muh interest in an Idol's personal life.

tumblr_lmcv92d57l1qcb4bto1_500.gif

So if I get a chance to meet them what will I do?

Sadly I wouldn't be that excited on visiting them. It's just cause in the end they're humans it's what they do that I like, not who they are. I don't like the whole fan-usage-for-financial-support scheme which is used in the K-pop industry, cause after all they're not that loyal they don't really mean it when they say "Fans are like family." I know it's all sweet and who wouldn't resist, but c'mon you're the reason why they are financially successfull. Hell, that's why they became Idols in the first place! :p

But why am I a Key bias, even though I've got a critical point of view?

Key relates to me alot. I always had the feeling that he isn't recognized unlike Jonghyun and Taemin and Minho and Onew which have all participated in shows, dramas, musicals etc. He's multi-talented and his sense of fashion was the charesteristic in him that caught my eye. He's really capable of much more on a critical point of view. I know some might argue and say that I'm just bias but that is my point of view after all.

If you do have any thing against my point of view I'll accept anything wholeheartedly :)

So, how did you come to discover K-pop? And what are your actual thoughts on the globalizing industry? Feel free to Comment! :D

@TokitaxShawol Yes I do get what you mean :D Exactly there were somethings I didn't like, but the truth is I was hesitant because of their looks, dress styles. Our Korean friends also pointed that out because I was worried that we were the only ones that found them....different? But I've come to love that and I respect their fashion and looks. I tried to not fangirl, cause in the end we are all the same, it's just that they're more popular. Who knows maybe each one of us has the same characteristics. :)

OH GOD, YES. I was actually really hesitant at first.
SHINee is my first bias group and I think your point of view makes sense. But I still have my own opinions. There are just some tiny things that I disagree with like...what does age have anything to do with liking groups?
Heh, anyway...I like this kind of statement. Not at all fangirly and normal. Not saying that you don't adore them, just...it's refreshing to see this kind of opinion. I can't explain it very well, but I think you'd get what I mean. XD

I really appreciate all your comments and the way each one of way you discovered K-pop is simply unique.
@MusicChibi I agree with you, every thing depends on the Idol cause you really don't know wether they are there to sing or just to get rich. I have seen some Idols that don't know how to sing but are extremely pretty, but is that considered a talent that they adore? I'm still unsure on that perspective.
@xElectricHeart trust sometimes I can be so y, like major! Especially when someone says Kpop is gay :@
I started liking K-Pop chiz in the beginning of `09 cause of Exploring Human Bodies with Super Junior. Soon I got like madd attached to them. But the actual Korean song I listened to I think was Big Bang's Lie.
It's weird how Korean songs REALLY get you into either singing, dancing, or both. I'm like totally into both.
I don't think I would start screaming and stuff if I see like other idols, but I would just keep on staring if any SHINee member, especially Taemin was near me. <3
Either ways, I kind of dislike how at first, I was the only one out of all my friends that listened to K-Pop. Then like the next year, EVERYBODY listened to it. I don't know if I'm suppose to be happy or just pissed. It always seem like they follow my lead. Any how, I think I would rather have my friends not understand the Korean music industry. LOL. I guess that's greedy, but I don't really give o_o;
And yes, everybody can be y (: It just depends how much. I call all my friends a cause they are, I even call myself a . Cause everything is true. Everybody has had to be a at least once!

this made me smile. i came to learn of kpop purely by accident, i was searching for a song and came up with dbsk instead. then my friend reintroduced kpop to me with shinee and i fell in love. but that's the abridged story XD
and my views? i love them as they are, but i would like all of them to be honest with the world on their beliefs. i can't like an idol who might sound good, but has a fake persona on tv. i love key too ;) ♥

How I came to know KPOP was when my principal's daughter showed it to the whole school. I was one of the few students who hooked on like that.
My thoughts on the globalizing industry are... they really aren't that bad, but yeah, they could be a little more honest and not lie to the world.

i first started liking kpop around last yr, the first group that i listened to was bigbang. At the time i liked the beat but then i wanted to learn the language so i could understand the meaning of the song. I agree with you about some people being hardcore fans, i thinks it's kind of (how can i say this nicely) delusional. I'm not tryin to be mean but i dont think that idols are really goning to fall for girls like in these fanfics or in kdramas. I'm also going to admit if i met shinee or the new group boyfriend, i would have and omg moment but it wouldn't be as hetcic as some fans tend be. My friends are sort of the same way they dont really why i like kpop. though sometimes i ask myself the same thing. To tell the the truth i was intersted in kpop because the stlyes were varied and i liked the diffrent vibes with each group. I also want kpop to go international because most peopl i hang with dont really get it and i tell them it's because you dont understand it.. then they give the speech about how im crazy and how i dont understand it, but then i would also ways prove them wrong by telling them what the song symbolies. Kpop helped me see in a diffrent way, after i started listeding to i became interested in the korean culture.. but i'm doing so good on the language cuz i get stuck on pronutcation and the way the senteces are formed.

That's really true
I started liking kpop, like last year's oct or sept something. I agree with you, there's no real need screaming like hell and get over crazy excited when you see an idol, I mean, they are all humans. Like the same, I don't understand the fans as well, whats the big deal when their idols are dating? lols

U-Kiss was the first band that caught my attention, although I already knew there were bands like Super Junior, Wonder Girls, SNSD and SS501. It was through U-Kiss that I got to MBLAQ, ZE:A and SHINee.

I didn't like rock songs, so I stuck with ballad. But kpop changed me, alot, hahas! Especially when SHINee has ballads & dance songs, I fell for them. Onew's my bais. But then, I felt that Onew was the one left out. I mean, everyone seems to know SHINee but always forgotten that there was a LEE JINKI. I love all of them equally, they each have their talents, amazing and wonderful talents.

Key's cool and unique. Cool, I know I hated him at first because of his "y" attitude. But then after really getting to know SHINee, I guess I misunderstood? He's caring and really the umma. I also agree with Onew when he spoke once in a radio programe. Although Jonghyun seems like the bad boy type, he's actually very caring, and adorably childish xDD

Taemin's getting more and more matured, and Minho is just, well, as usual, always the best and flaming charisma, amazing rapper. SHINee just can't be SHINee without anyone of them.

Wait, lols, why am I talking about SHINee all so suddenly? LOLs!! Ranting..sorry!

@ESHAkey Oh, I see! You are lucky to have friends who know about K-Pop! I don't have any :( I've also come to like it this year, New Year to be exact! :D

@Iheartlife I just fall in love with you everytime! And I adore the fact that we have the longest comments :) Thanks for liking my blogs, I really love sharing my thoughts with you guyz! <3~ (that goes to all) Exactly, it's pure and honest. Personally I used to also listen to European music as well, so I found it really easy to connect with K-pop.
Yeah I also had an admiration towards Key, the fact that we relate to each other. Alot. I don't know why I didn't like Jonghyun just as much though, but I have one silly theory of mine. Because I was born on the 4/4 which makes me an Aries just like Jonghyun who was born on the 8/4, and we all know the relationship between him and Key. Maybe that's why I liked Key more? (I know, a very complicated theory!)
I actually would love to help make K-Pop go international. Through blogs maybe and spreading the word. But it's really hard, where I live. Everybody is so one-sided ;/
But I would do anything to make our boys and K-pop go worldwide!
K-Pop Fighting! (I'm going all fangirly again, this ain't suppposed to happen!)

I started to like K-Pop this year. Last year, my friends keep talking about K-POP and mostly about SHINee. Then, I was like "Why they adore SHINee very much ? Is there something special with them ??" Then, last Oct , my friend suggested me to listen to RDD and I listened to it. Yeah , on that time , I've started to know K-pop, slowly. Now, I adore SHINee very much. kekeke. :)

I love your blogs! They're so interesting and true....when I was getting into Kpop I was also hesitant. I never heard of it previously but once I started getting into it, I loved it because it actually speaks to you. I connect with K-pop so much better than other songs because...I don't know...K-pop and I just click and I love it. When I saw Jonghyun first the first time, I fell head over heels in love with him...(his muscles for sure) but when I saw hello baby, I fell for his personality too, he's so funny...he makes me smile so I understand your bias choice. For me, Jonghyun can give me the love and support that I need. I could feel comfortable no matter what and I could tell that he is very deep (obsession....love it). Overall, I love them all but Jonghyun for me is number one in my heart <3
Anyways...I hope k-pop goes international, I feel that more people should discover any type of music because music is an international language that anyone can understand whether kpop or whatever, music is important. I hope Shinee goes international...they should see that there are other fans out there that appreciate them....K-pop is already going international and it's not just koreans that listen to it. People of different races are listening so that shows that no matter how different we are, we are the same because we share k-pop
GO K-pop! Go Shawols! So proud! :D
