Discontinue, Retiring

I know I promised to continue my Xiubaek fics like Here We Are (The sequel to Last Summer) and a couple of others I've hidden but I might drop the story altogether.

I know it's been YEARS and people have probably forgotten about that fanfic but even though I'm grateful for the people who loved Last Summer and are waiting for updates with Here We Are, I think I've come to the decision that I'll just leave them as it is and unfinished.

It's been a long time since I got harrassment before from another writer back in the days when I was writing Xiubaek and I guess it just stuck with me that I could not bring myself to write my favorite ship. But with inspiration and happiness watching EXO's latest comeback, I've decided to continue writing NEW Xiubaek fics instead.

Please note that when I wrote Last Summer, I was a teenager who just wanted to writr something for a barren ship back then (Xiubaek was not a ship you'd think about back in 2013 - 2016 so it was a fairly new ship and a bit niche back then. I'm not sure now after 7-10 yrs).

So, I'm happy that you all enjoyed Last Summer and Here We Are, Phases of the Sun, Written In the Stars and In Dreams but the last three will remain hidden and unpublished while Last Summer and Here We Are will be left alone as it is as well as the TaoxOC fic Body & Soul (it was those immature times of mine, definitely). A testament of younger and immature me's writing and passion for the ship (s).

Now, I wish to better Xiubaek fics. Maybe something more for story than what I used to write (admit it, we were all teens lmao and so young and immature). I'll do better.

Even if the harrassments 7-10yrs ago still lingers in the back of my head, I know I'll get over it once I write again. Even if there may not be anyone who'll stumble upon the story, I think I'll just be glad to share it with you.

As for 'X', the robot Xiubaek fic, it will be revamped, definitely.

For the Dating Project Xiubaek fic, I will have to tweak some of the story but will still follow the trailer I made.

Anyway, thank you guys for reading and giving your time. I am sorry for discontinuing some of the stories.

I'll be at AO3 as well!

I might change my username as well soon too. Not sure what, but the grammatically incorrect username StruckedByLightning will retire.

I haven't been online for a few days and then you suddenly post a blog!
First of all, I am really sorry to hear that you have been harrassed for your fanfiction. I will never understand these haters. Fanfiction is fiction and is supposed to be enjoyed. And if someone doesn't like the ship or content it's their own propblem for reading the story... I hope you will get positive feedback and only constructive critisism in the future!

To be honest I stopped shipping XiuBaek quite a while ago and shifted to other groups/ships. But I remember how much I enjoyed Last Summer and how hyped I was for The Dating Project. I was legitemately watching the trailer an unhealthy amount of times back then lol And I remember loving the first chapter of Perfect, but I am not sure if you wanna continue this story or will leave it discontinued.

Anyway, it's nice to hear that you wanna start writing again! I think there still aren't a lot of people who ship Xiubaek, but I am sure there will be at least a few people who will stumble upon your stories and (hopefully) leave nice comments. You can expect me to drop by and read some of them, even if I don't ship XiuBaek anymore. I mean, I was so hyped for e.g. The Dating Project, I owe it to my teenager self to read it. But not only for that. I liked everything I read from you. So I know that it will be worth reading. And I am sure there are other people out there who are still waiting for your updates and will be happy to see when you release something new :)
