Personality. 

Jungah has been hiding her talent from the world for years, but now that she debuts she's excited to show the world who Jeon Jungah is. She's confident in her dancing abilities and dances at every chance she gets. Just talking about dance gets her so riled up and she excited to participate. When she's passionate she gets so cute like squeaking and jumping while clapping. Since she's young she has a lot of energy and takes it out by either dancing or running around. That's why she likes to be active and go outside whenever she can. Whether it's teasing her members or pulling harmless pranks on them she definitely fits the mischievous maknae trope. Haters might call her rude if her comments are taken out of context. 
 

Whenever she's happy you can see it on her face, even when she's sad. She's terrible at hiding how she feels and anyone can tell when she's in a bad mood. She's not good at the whole idol persona thing. If you take her snacks she'd gasp and side eye you before pouting while eating the rest of it. Some may think she's trying to be cute but she's really just spoiled. As the only girl and the youngest she got what she wanted quite a lot. She's not the type to throw tantrums when she doesn't get her way because she actually likes hanging around people and is more of the go-with-the-flow type but when she sets her mind on something it's hard to change it. She's still a teenager so she goes through the whole the world hates me thing and wanting to rebel. Sometimes she gives their manager and their leader a run for their money the way she just storms off or slams the door. Sometimes she'd sneak off just in the name of being rebellious or play rock music really loud from her room to annoy her members like she's annoyed.
 

Since she didn't show others her dancing for so long she practically lives off positive feedback. Negative feedback would ruin her whole mood and make her work harder. Her self esteem is based on the comments of others and proving them wrong. Ask her if something is wrong and she'll say no but she makes it so obvious by pouting everywhere and unconsciously stomping around.

Though her mood can be up one minute and down the other. She just wants to be loved and accepted deep down. Growing up with two brothers way older than her that basically had no time for her. She just wants a group of older sisters to be here for her no matter what, just like Pandora. 

Background.

Jungah was born in Mandeok-dong, Busan, South Korea. Being 10 years younger than her oldest brother and 8 years younger than her youngest brother she was the baby. Being the only girl and the fact that her parents were older when they had her they were more lenient on her. She was babies a lot by her whole family. She was closest to her youngest brother that was 8 years older than her, he truly adored his little sister and brought her everywhere. For the first 6 years of her life he was her main babysitter when his parents were at work. Usually boys would be embarrassed to take their sister to hang with his friends but not him, and his friends took care of her like a little sister too. He was into badminton so he taught her how to play, he later fell in love with singing and dancing and Jungah would beg her mom to sit and watch his classes through the glass. Because of him she took ballet classes that he took her to himself. Whenever he practiced at home she was there to watch him and dance along. They even went on brother sister karaoke dates so he could practice his singing. Jungah knew her brother would be famous someday but she didn’t know it would mean he would go away.

When she turned six he moved to Seoul and she rarely saw him. The day he had to leave she cried so much that it made him cry, she missed school that day to take him to Seoul with her mom. She didn’t understand what training was but her mom told her that if he was going to be famous he had to do it. They still talked on the phone from time to time and their parents would send emails of updates and pictures and Jungah’s ballet recitals since he couldn’t have a phone. Even if he was going through a hard time, listening to Jungah made him smile immediately. Jungah was naive so she didn’t realize that her brother was crying when she talked, she thought he had a cold and told him to eat ginseng chicken soup. After every call she said “keep going oppa! fighting!” and she still has no idea how much that motivated him.

Her brother made his debut in 2013 when she was 8, she went to his showcase and she thought that her brother was super famous already even though it wasn’t the case. It was the first time she physically saw him in two years and they both cried just like when they left each other. To her the small showcase full of a few fans and reporters was like a stadium and it only made her look up to him even more. After seeing the showcase Jungah decided that she wanted to take hiphop dance lessons just like her brother so she could also be famous and they could perform together.

From that year forward Jungah took dancing a lot more seriously. Her dancing improved quickly but her relationship with her brother became more distant. His group struggled at first but they really started taking off in 2016 when Jungah was 11. But no one anticipated how famous they’d truly get. Before they would at least call once a week and she’d show him the dance she learned but after their fame went international and they were known as BTS globally, she went weeks and months without hearing from him.

She was proud of her brother, even more proud to be the sister of Jeon Jungkook but she had to keep it a secret for privacy reasons. Her family moved to a nicer neighborhood in Busan and Jungah went to a nicer school. She saw how almost all of the girls in her class fangirled over BTS yet no one knew she was his sister. Whenever they had a performance in Seoul or Busan, Jungah and her family was there to support them. She realized that the debut showcase was nothing compared to the fame they had now. It only made her dream of being an idol grow stronger.

When Jungkook went home for the first time in a long time in 2019, Jungah expressed that she wanted to join a company to train. She thought it was time to put herself out there, it was like she was in hiding just taking dance classes in vain. She never performed or posted her dancing on social media. 14 was the perfect training age too. Her parents were worried about letting her train since they knew how hard it was for Jungkook but after learning from him that Source Music was partnering with Hybe for a girl group they let her try out because at least she her brother would protect her. So in 2019 Jungah sent in a video audition and passed within the same week. By the following week, she was in Seoul as a Hybe trainee.

Him being so busy makes it hard to talk all the time but whenever they do they’d talk for hours catching up. Whenever he had a vacation he’d hang out with her and help her with dancing. He still sees her as the little girl that used to follow him everywhere so he’s very protective of her. He knows the industry can be cruel and that’s why he wants to use his influence to shield her from that. But she doesn’t want that extra push from him. If anything she hates it because all the extra attention has only gotten her hate and extra expectations. After the news gets out that they’re related it ruins their relationship a bit because she’s no longer known as Jungah she’s known as Jungkook’s sister. Yes Armys support Pandora and their sales went up but she also never got so much hate before. She looks at the sales and only thinks this happened because of her brother. She gets called the best dancer and questions if she really deserves that title. She gets compared to Jungkook and hated on for not being like him when she just wants to be herself. There would be times when she doesn’t answer his calls because of it. He doesn’t do anything directly, but being related to him causes all of that so technically it’s his fault and he has no idea how to fix it, it’s not like he can tell his fans not to support Pandora. Sometimes he has to tell Jimin to call her because he knows she’s his fan and she’ll never miss a chance to talk to him. All Jungkook ever wanted to do was protect her and for her to be happy but after they’ve become known as the Jeon siblings who knows if their relationship could be repaired.

When she shows interest in Jungwon they make sure to spy on her and intimidate him so he could stay away from their little sister. When Pandora gets a win if any of them are there they’d stay behind to congratulate her and hug her. She’s thankful for them for caring but she’s not a little kid anymore and they’re seriously annoying.
 

Best friend / Kim Minji / 2004 / Member of Newjeans / ESTJ / Minji was Jungah’s first friend as a trainee, she was a long time source music trainee and since Jungah was one of the first trainees to be accepted at the time they got paired together a lot. They were both in the highest trainee group too, Minji was a big favorite of the staff. Minji is more mature and calm so she is the motherly one in their friendship. Jungah fills Minji in on all the drama and she’d calmly listen while Jungah is being so loud and expressive. They went through hard times of training together so they are comfortable being vulnerable together. She’s the only one that knows Jungkook is her brother before it gets exposed and everything going on with that so she confides in her a lot and she appreciates that Minji never changed after learning so.
 

Seatmate / Kim Jiwoo / 2005 / Member of NMIXX / ESFP / Jiwoo and Jungah are seat buddies in school so they became close since 2021. She knows everything that Jungah goes through first because they see each other often. Jiwoo is so tired of hearing about her swoon over Jungwon because Jay is obviously the hotter member. Jiwoo is the kind of person that doesn’t care what others think of her and is nonchalant. When she feels like doing something she does it and that usually includes something stupid. She is more observant than Eunchae and she thinks it’s suspicious when one of 97 line is always around when she’s around Jungwon so she glared at them in a protective way.
 

Close friend / Hong Eunchae / 2006 / Member of Lesserafim / ISFP / Eunchae is another friend that she made while at Hybe. She is hyper and childish and hanging out with her brings out Jungah’s hyper side. Eunchae would gladly admit that Jungah looks hot when she dances and she had a bit of a crush on her when she was at Hybe. Everytime she dances against Niki she screams for Jungah and is really clingy. Her Jiwoo and Jungah are trio with Eunchae always down to go along with Jiwoo’s schemes but the last to know things. Eunchae is nosy as hell and loves gossiping so whenever she learns something she immediately says it in the groupchat with Jiwoo and Jungah tells her members.
 

Frenemies / Nishimura Riki / 2005 / Member of Enhypen / Jungah met Niki when they were trainees. They actually met because they were both known as really good dancers so during downtime they had a dance battle and a bunch of other trainees surrounded them. They had a competing relationship since then and always try to outdo each other in the dumbest ways. When they meet again after Jungah debuts they’d have dance battles backstage and trash talk each other. Even though they have that friendly enemies kind of relationship they find it fun to be around each other. One of her favorite past times with Eunchae and Jiwoo is bothering Niki.
 

Groupmate / Sage Wen / 1998 / Member of Pandora / INFP / At first Sage and Jungah weren't close because Sage joined so late but it was after she learned that Sage is from Australia that she went over to her because she needed help with English homework. Jungah is tragic at english for some reason so Sage usually helps her with that and teaches her new phrases. Since she speaks english well Jungah thinks Sage is cool when she speaks english and tries her best to imitate her but never nearly sounds as cool. She would encorporate english in her daily speech like "right man?!" "oh my gosh! so amajing!" "neomu neomu swag!" and cursing in english then gets scolded by her members. There's a manhwa she wants to read but it doesn't have a translation sans she has no shame asking Sage to translate it. She'd literally pay her. 

Groupmate / Pandora / ~ / Idols / ~ / Jungah would want to be close to all of her members. She'd see them as sisters and since she's probably the youngest she'd love getting doted on too. She never had sisters so she'd love doing girly things together like makeovers or all sleeping in the same room. She would lean on them for support a lot too and support them as well. 

The underappreciated / Since they both are trying to prove that they are vocalist, they would practice singing together and the underappreciated would drag Jungah out the studio so she doesn't hurt her voice. They cheer each other on whenever they can since they both know the struggle.

The scandalous / Since the news of being Jungkook's sister Jungah's popularity would sky rocket and give the scandalous a run for her money. They'd have a fine relationship before but then the scandalous would be rude to her. She'd probably be nice on camera but not off camera and the bipolarness of it all would only confused Jungah and make her sad since she doesn't get why she basically hates her. Then she would blame Jungkook for it because its all his fault.

Trainee Life.
Jungah was one of the first female trainees to be accepted into Hybe. The staff was well aware of her relation to Jungkook but it was a secret among the trainees. She was worried that her dancing wouldn’t be up to par but Jungah proved that she was one of the best dancers there. Whenever she performed during monthly evaluations the staff looked at her with dollar signs in their eyes. They knew that fans would blindly follow her just because of her brother so she was always on their radar. When talking about the trainees with the most potential she was always on the list, trainees would be split by skill and debut potential and Jungah was in the highest level only after a two months.

She loved every moment of training. It wasn’t easy and she too had times where she cried but being around others who loved dance and getting closer to debut made it all worth it. It was known around the company that she was one of the main girls on their way to debut. The way the staff talked to highly of her there was no way she wouldn’t. Even Min Heejin called her Hybe’a secret weapon. There was a time when Jungah hurt her ankle and she couldn’t put as much effort into dancing as she usually would. The dance instructor was evaluating them to choose who the center would be and even with her hurt ankle she got the center position. It was weird because she was in the debut level of trainees so they were all insanely good. She wondered if it had to do with the fact that Jungkook would be at that monthly evaluation. When they performed she was obviously under the weather and didn’t do so as well as she should but she still got praised while some of her other group mates got reprimanded. Even more strange Jungkook mentioned during the evaluation that it’s bad to dance with a hurt ankle since it could just make it worse and she should take a break. For the last two years she barely rested but the Hybe staff forced her to take a week vacation and go back home, even wrote her a note so she could miss school.

That’s when she realized that none of her effort was organic, Jungkook was pulling the strings behind the scenes and she hated it. Her dream wasn’t to get famous because of her brother. She wanted to get famous because she had talent. She thought a lot that week she was at home and when she went back she terminated her contract. Everyone thought she was insane but her pride wouldn’t let her get handed her dream.

Jungah got contacted by Dal Media soon after she left Hybe in early 2021. When she joined Dal Media some of the trainees heard of her, she was the infamous Hybe trainee. She was afraid she couldn’t live up to the hype but at Dal Media she proved to be just as strong of a dancer. Whenever she got bad reviews she actually smiled and said “I’ll work harder!” because she knew that no one was giving her special treatment. She saw news articles about Hybe’s new girl groups that gained so much hype from knetz, she knew that that could’ve been her and sometimes thought if she made a mistake. Hybe was a huge success unlike Dal Media so could she actually become that famous and perform with her brother? But she was happy at Dal Media and ready to shine without any extra help.
