characteristics tall and slender frame, long locks of blonde hair and captivating eyes often compared to sparkling jewels such as aquamarine and sapphire. growing up, isadora has been considered fair of face and highly praised for her beauty and even moreso as she has gotten older.
inspired by the architecture and landscape of sumeru, she commissioned a talented local tailor to create an ensemble based off that along with colours, beading and such considered the height of fashion back in fontaine. one can describe her outfit as one with 'lustrous coalescence'.
the long trail at the back actually isn't a part of her dress but in fact just isadora's unorthodox way of wearing a cape. more often than not, one will spot her having wrapped it around her waist but there are times where she does tie it around her neck and actually wears it the way that it's meant to.
her vision is adorned around her neck like a necklace, clasped to the neckline of her dress.

the people of fontaine are known to be quite flamboyant and also impractical in the way they are to present themselves. after all, beauty and elegance are traits in which they highly value. isadora does not break that stereotype and due to this accompanied with her looks, style and certain hobbies and habits, when she had first stepped into the nation of wisdom, she was assumed to be... well, a bit of a ditz with an ever-present smile on her face, possessing a spring in her step in her gait as well as it becoming known quick that she is rather frivolous with her spending and spends a lot of her time under the shade lounging about.
it's as if she had never done any work her entire life. as such, it was hard to believe that she graduated as one of the top scholars within her darshan and after having graduated, had somehow obtained a rather high position in the akademiya initially. ultimately though, she has gained the respect and fear of the people, or at least a significant amount of people which she doesn't really mind but it does make her life much easier.
isadora is a free spirit who often indulges herself in things or events she deems as fun, new or different. work to her tends to come as an after-thought even with the high ambitions she has for her career, often leaving tasks to the last minute yet somehow is still completed with utmost decorum. she does have pride after all in her looks, capabilities. what she also enjoys is impressing others and proving them wrong, loving the look of shock and disbelief on their faces.
however, if one were to approach her with something so menial, minor or trivial, they are likely going to receive a light lecture on the art of using one's common sense. despite seeming a bit blase to things that don't concern her, she is quite the opposite. she is quite the curious individual and is interested in knowing things down to the simple gossip. her eyes and ears just about everywhere. it is quite unnerving thinking about how she would deal with such information.if there’s something she wants to see, have or know about, she will stop at nothing to get it either.
beneath the smiling and teasing, isadora is more than capable of being diplomatic as well as intimidating so one shouldn't try or test her patience and tolerance. one should never underestimate her. she is quite a believer in karma and what goes around will come back around, and if karma doesn't do it, isadora will initiate it herself may it be good or bad, all composed and not breaking a single sweat.
she's like a cat with how her mind operates but it can be argued that she is also a crow where if she favours you, you will be discreetly treated to gifts or her doing a favour for you which she thinks you might appreciate out of nowhere.
out of all the people working for the akademiya, isadora is one of the more vocal and sociable ones. to many, she seems like an open book but in fact, she is quite secretive about her private affairs. those close to her tend to say that she has a gift of sharing everything yet sharing nothing at all.

born to a father whose position is that of the head guard within the court of fontaine, and a mother who formerly was an undine whom had fallen deeply in love with her father, and have given up her immortality to be with him, in turn becoming a regular human.
isadora's mother's life as a human was cut short having suffered from complications
giving birth to isadora and passed a few
months after she had been born. her father struggled raising her whilst also working in which those around him noticed. somehow isadora found herself being brought to work by her father and if he were busy, the court maidens would look after her, finding her adorable and the fact her father was very popular with them.
with this arrangement, isadora learnt and
become quite adept at the arts by the court maidens whom she referred to as her 'older sisters' as well as other skills such as swordsmanship from her father. additionally, isadora has been able to witness many of the cases within fontaine's very courtroom and even had multiple brief encounters with her very archon. it is with this upbringing that isadora had the goal of working within the court and govern over fontaine along side her diety whom some, mainly her father highly revered.
wanting to be the very best, she attended the sumeru akademiya, in particular vahumana where it focused on history and the social sciences, successfully graduating with her final and most notable work being in relation to ancient civilisations of teyvat, its laws (etc.) permitting her to travel to other nations within her final year.
it was during her time studying at the akade-miya where isadora received news that her home nation was in a state of danger and oppression, and that it was best not to return home until it subsides, not even for a short stay. it did not help that archon of fontaine, focalors is not the most popular.
what shocked her further was a later letter where she was informed by a fellow friend of her father's that her father was tried for treason and was found guilty and sentenced to death. she sent several letters home only to receive no reply. most of the information she had of home was via the steambird where one issue published an article of how her father was proven to be innocent and was framed. such news was a little too late. isadora can't have her father back. at least justice was finally served and the true culprit was punished but it didn't seem 'enough'.
she never questioned her archon as her father deeply had faith in her. plus, many do believe that archons are rather omniscient and omnipotent and that what they do are likely to be the correct but the archon. the hydro archon knew of her father's devotion. she should've stepped in and done further research to prove that her father was indeed innocent. these array of events caused her to become quite cynical of archons and their rule over teyvat.
as a result, the info she obtained from her research in her area of interest to graduate have led her to info about celestia and the abyss? it was miniscule and vague yet interesting, and in secret isadora found herself invested in finding more details thus committing one or some of the six sins of the akademiya.
she should've stopped but she continued doing so even when most ventures gave her barely anything novel, risking herself being suspended or worse, imprisoned. what exactly was she to do with these tidbits of information in the first place? what good can it possibly do for her?
this dedication had eventually paid off and she was finding obscure information but it also landed her with a vision. isadora had heard of matras having arrested some people who had been in possession with divine and forbidden knowledge which was to be confiscated or destroyed. she had decided that she was going to take a peek or even borrow a few of those items. with a strike of luck, she managed to do that without being caught. it was after she returned to her private quarters that isadora ended up noticing that out of the few items she had taken also appeared to be a vision, a hydro one at that to which she did not know whether to laugh at the irony, be proud that she was deemed worthy of a vision or fill herself with a bit of worry that this may be a warning for her from some higher power but considering all the data that has been gathered so far on vision bearers, she is probably fine, right?
in present day, she lives in sumeru as the inspector for the
akademiya, the first non-native to do so, and a role she had managed to obtain straight after having graduated.
she may have diverted from her original plans but that may or may not be due to how she had been rejected once or twice from the court of fontaine but even then, she's not entirely sure whether working there would be the best taking into account past events but she still wants to prove a point that she likely would do better than those currently there, perhaps even the archon herself.
but right now for her, it just doesn't seem like the perfect time just yet. not now but soon. isadora has not been home in years due to the chaos rising in fontaine but there are times when she entertains the thought for a wise person once said that amidst chaos, there is also opportunity. yet again, sumeru doesn't seem to be doing much better with isadora having witnessed the higher-ups delving into relationships and deals anyone may find questionable as well as hypocritical.

CHAT : ADVICE if you ever find yourself short and in desperate need of mora, i suggest selling off your floating companion to a scholar in desperate need of finding an original research topic. what's that look on your face? i'm joking but i'm not exactly lying.
the first time isadora has ever heard of the traveller was when they became a huge headline on the steambird for their efforts in saving mondstadt, defeating stormterror. she believed it to be a one and done kind of situation where she wouldn't think or hear of the traveller again but then osial in liyue occurred and then there was also their participation against the vision hunt decree in inazuma.
isadora couldn't help but be curious about them for yes, their feats are remarkable but barely much was known about them such as where they were from. from how they were travelling around, isadora knew that they would make their way to sumeru soon enough and she was right.
isadora initially had been doing some spying on them and paimon as well as helping out in the shadows before later being caught by them.
time with the traveller often involves isadora asking many questions about them in which the traveller is often cut off by paimon or the traveller struggling to word their answers out for their knowledge of the teyvat language is still quite limited thus isadora offering to teach them, believing herself to be a better teacher than paimon, leading to the two or at least paimon to heads with her.
isadora is often in awe of the past adventures they have been on but mostly in awe of how many rare items they managed to acquire in which she would sometimes look into such as those relating to old teyvat and civilisations like enkanomiya. in return, it isn't long until she hints to the traveller that she knows a bit more than what the average human to even the most experienced of scholars and researchers should know, some of the information shared becoming useful in future scenarios.
aside from finding the traveller interesting and at times quite endearing, she believes that they are sure to cause quite a storm when they reach other regions, seeming to be a natural magnet to attention. isadora highly believes that the traveller may become the answer for her to be granted an audience to discuss with, to challenge the hydro archon and their authority.

ABOUT ALHAITHAM as a native of fontaine, one does not just ignore beauty and elegance, and the way he carries himself is just that. i did not come to sumeru with friends and as one of the first people i saw, i couldn't help but to approach and aim in establishing ties with him and now here we are.
graduates of the akademiya to fellow co-workers. their relationship is, isadora considers, to be close to the point where if alhaitham enters his house, particularly his bedroom to find money, books or documents missing, there's a 99.9% chance that isadora snuck into his place and borrowed them. she doesn't even have a key or live there yet his roommate has been locked out more times than she has.
the two share an understanding in their thirst for knowledge and the two made a deal wherein isadora is given money for personal use and is allowed access to some of the confidential documents in exchange for isadora making some dealings with dori who refuses to be involved with the scribe. such efficient and swift transactions are applied over to when they're working too. they have unspoken yet clear boundaries they do not push.
out of work and serious business though, people question whether they are actually friends or even like each other, moreso on alhaitham's part since more often than not in public settings, bystanders would often see them and it looks like he is ignoring her presence with his nose stuck in a book and headphones firmly covering his ears.
isadora knows he's attentive to her albeit at times reluctantly, not being too keen on socialising but even then, she doesn't mind because if he really disliked her, he would refuse to be around and interact with her at all. both are very much used to each other's antics.
despite being pretty much the same age, isadora acts as if she is the older one which is often seen in her mannnerisms towards him, often doting on him, patting his cheek as she greets him for example. it's as if he's a child. such treatment is reciprocated by how he sometimes talks in a teasing tone one may reserve for a child or pet. they're so alike yet they don't see it.

ABOUT DORI it's amazing how she is able to get her hands on just about anything. during my time as a student, she was more than willing for me to purchase from her but ever since i graduated and started working for the akademiya, she has risen the price of objects for me to extortionate amounts. i had a chat with her about this and all she had to say was that i'm lucky that she is still willing to do dealings with me. the cheek of her, hahaha.
aside from dori being able to get her whatever happen to be the latest trendy items from around teyvat for her, dori is also able to provide her with books, artifacts and knowledge capsules which are on the shadier side of her business which makes isadora one of her more regular customers.
even though she is less than pleased with dori's prices, she can't really find another supplier. isadora wonders whether dori is aware that she has the upper hand between them as even if she were to expose dori's involvement in the black market, it would mean that she would also expose herself and both would get into huge trouble.

ABOUT CYNO his work and dedication to serving justice is indeed admirable and at the same time quite nerve-wrecking. some don't listen to me when i give warnings and such of their actions but once i utter his very name, they're set straight. i don't know why they worry so much since whatever they're doing is not worthy of him to want to personally deal with.
if someone has been caught violating the law greatly particularly in relation to the akademiya's sins, it is part of isadora's duty to report it to the mahamatra who are to deal in punishing them thus how isadora has come to be involved with him.
isadora entered the general mahamatra's office whilst he was making a joke to his subordinates to hear. she found it so bad that it was so funny and broke into full hysterics in which ended up unknowing placing her on his good side.
despite this, they actually do not meet that often but when they do, isadora finds herself dragged into a match of genius invocation tcg or even invited to a meal with his friends to which she tries to reject for despite him now being seen as quite kind, she is still very weary of him knowing his work ethic and how she's pretty much the type of person he would punish if he found out about her not so law-abiding hobbies.

reading through it, i kind of realised that isadora is the foil(?) to lisa's character in their pursuit of knowledge? lisa stopped, went paranoid and left sumeru whilst she went the opposite direction, is still in sumeru and still delving into things she shouldn't even though she has a good idea of what the risks may be which i found interesting?

password aether is the one who i prefer being the other twin but this may largely be due to the fact that i chose lumine and am more familiar with them. plus, lumine and paimon at times remind me of sakura and kero that it has become hard for me to think of them as being the other twin despite how hyv have a lot of their promo art and videos with aether on as the 'canon mc'.
