what are some unsettling settings/places?

no, i am not looking for liminal spaces. i know what those are, and all of them give off quite a similar vibe, and i'm looking for quite distinct but still unsettling vibes.

yes, this may be for a story that i will never write haven't even planned out yet but please help me.

so far i've got two:

- empty 90s office building
- far out in open sea

please help i definitely need more LOL. and as for the 'unsettling' vibe, it doesn't even have to be creepy. for instance, the open sea scares me because i've heard it can be very quiet and i find that to be unsettling. it can be as personal as you want or it can be a common 'creepy' place.

but please help me lol. thank you in advance.

other places come in mind
-empty dark stairways
- long corridors wlthat have auto led lights that open one by one
- shopping mall but its closed/no one is there
- empty alleys/backstreets that have like one dim light and garbage bin
- ur home alone but looks like some stranger broke in?
-80s/50s inspired retro restaurants w juke boxes tile floors and slushy/milkshake stands and everything
-old basements
-church?
-train rails
-cliff and seaside with a light house at night, the only light comes from the lighthouse

hope it helped!

im thinking like an empty dark alleyway, maybe like an empty field and abandoned (but sturdy) bridge that connects a building to another building as a shortcut, that is outside, there are bushes and long grass, its really dark. It can be either romantic like a secret getaway or a very creepy unpleasant place. ( totally depends on the person ur with) (also somewhere i madeout w a guy cause we wanted to go somewhere more quite since we met at a hotel but stayed w our parents)

the more i think about it, the more i come to realise that literally any place would be creepy?

one came to mind immediately (very cliche but from a personal experience), an elevator that's stuck with no lights, or maybe just a dark building with many corridors/hallways.

a room of mirrors?

deserts! but at night. cuz i live in a desert-like place, sooooo yeah

Most places can be unsettling if written right.

But personally....
A forest clearing, late at night, with no sounds around you. Daytime can be creepy when silent, too, but not as much as nighttime.
A massive corn field, tall enough you can't see over the stalks, with no path through it.
An empty stadium, such as after hours or on a day when there's no game/event.
A theater or opera house, also after hours or on an off day, the stage lit up and the houselights all down.
Any place that is normally busy or bustling with people, but empty (so during a time they would normally be busy). Like marketplaces, airports, town squares, etc. Most unsettling during daylight hours, especially if it's normally very busy and the location is just deserted. But some (like an airport or a school) are more creepy after hours when it's dark outside and all the lights are off and there's no one else around.

My head :D
Okay but fr? Anything as long as you write it to be. Heck, even an open market square can be unsettling if you tweak it just right
Otherwise, places where it's supposed to be full, but empty. E.g. An abandoned mall, a chapel, yk?

I would like to see a story about an empty 90’s office building!
