now, years later, [jb's character] is about to get married. it was [jackson's character]'s idea to film the documentary. he just wanted to know:
did he love him, once? did he love him, still? was it worth it? would he go back and change it?

it happened naturally; as someone four years above moonhwan, jiho would naturally start to find him annoying in life and in school and wave him away in impatience.
it took a long time for jiho to realize how he really saw his lifelong friend: not as a friend but as... something else.
hating himself, jiho fell in with the wrong crowd, started doing [probably not drugs but def crimes], and distanced himself from anyone and everyone.
it took moonhwan an even longer time to realize what he'd lost, and he signed up for the documentary in hopes that the crew could help him find jiho.
