How many sacrifices again? An army suposed to defend its country but harming its citizens, is useless.

Trigger Warning: evocation of suicide, abuse and death.

Due to research I have done for my story's plot, I'm following more about LGBTQ+ cause in South Korea and more specifically amoung The military system.

So this blog is more to sensibilize readers and authors about certain facts in order to extend everyone knowledge. Aff's readers and authors directly, of course, but indirectly, their comrades, families, friends, co-workers and colleagues.

Authors can try to use those facts in their stories to spread them for more readers to learn about it.

The more we are aware of what is happening there the more the international pressure is felt too. And the Koreans being very sensitive about their reputation, a big part of their life based on it, the more we disclose how wrong they are acting toward their own citizens, infringing International Human rights, violating their own constitution, discriminating between military and civilian rights, the more it will have an impact (with time).

For now, South Korea is internationaly seen as an advanced High-Tech country, proud of its culture, resisting against multiple historical invasions from China and Japan and of its resilience against North Korea. Expanding its influence via the Hallyu wave (K-pop, Fashion/cosmetics, gastronomy, high technologies and Dramas being the main vehicules). BUT below the shining surface of the water there are a great amount of mud and number of skeletons.

As an author, I feel responsible to convey those sides of Korean society (along with the flaw of French society, my country, as well), because doing the ostrich and hidding my head in the sand is definitely not my thing, and literature in any form can be stronger than anything sometimes. I haven't the pretension to be an influencer, I have only the urge to spread those matters at my own level.

Thank you for reading, sharing and spreading at your turn those dreadfull facts (I will put links beside the facts) :
