Anyone have any tips on how to not procrastinate? & maybe how to draw?

Like the title says, I need help. Moreso, advice. I gotta get all this work done but I keep procrastinating. I've basically lost my will to get anything done and if I keep this up, I'm probably going to fail half my classes -_- So any fellow procrastinators or people who don't procrastinate and actually get work done (~you're phenomenal, i don't know how u do it), got any advice?

And anyone got any advice on how to draw a realistic-looking field of flowers? I need to submit a drawing to this contest my parents expect me to compete in -_- ~yes i don't know why, i could just skip it this year but noooo i have to do it~ and there's a theme. Also, it's due in less than a week and I just started brainstorming ideas for it ~way to go didi, who would've thought~ so I need help asap. I have an original idea I'm willing to test waters with but then our topic goes back to ~dun!dun!dun!~ procrastination. Yes, that's me, the queen of procrastination. So someone please recommend how I can attempt drawing a field of flowers with my below-average skills of drawing. I don't know how to draw but I can do basic things. I've drawn faces before, without one eye cause anyone else who can kind of draw crappy but doesn't know how to draw the other eye so covers it with bangs or a scar (yes, i don't know why i do that), I know u can relate to that. Anywho, ~damn, I'm great at getting off-topic ***the voice in my head: yea and ur the exact opposite of that when it comes to getting work done*** Wait, I'm getting off-topic again. As I was saying, can someone please recommend how to draw a field of flowers for a beginner-ish person. Cause even tho I'm not exactly rainbows and sunshine towards getting this done, I don't want to let my parents down.

Sooo~, I'm accepting any advice - even if its to go slap myself and face reality - on how to stop procrastinating when I know how important a project is and how to draw a field of flowers.

If you feel I'm a hopeless case ~which i do too btw so i'm not judging~ then go ahead and express ur condolences.

If you feel I'm a fun person and tend to be comical when writing about my misfortune that I caused myself ~which it's hard not to be when u spend all ur time goofing off and not doing work, ahem! Queen of Procrastination, remember?~ then add me as ur friend. I've been told I'm a funny person and get people laughing. But warning: I make horrible puns and my friends are sick of them.

Honestly, I'd say you look at references and try to adapt some of them into your own work/style.

If you want it easy, don't do/rely too much on line art. Cuz that's tedious work (depending on the perspective), and takes a lot of time. Personally, I'd use textured brushes (if we're talking digital) to get those little details I want without having to exert too much effort. Depending on the placement, I don't refine the details on the parts that are bit further behind the scene. But those that are close-up, that's when I sorta render them or do line art to make them more distinct to the viewer's eyes.

If you're doing digital, painting/lineless art is a feasible way to go. If you're going traditional, maybe this one could give you a general idea of what you can do without making it too overly-complicated in your case: https://drawntogarden.com/garden-creation-how-to-draw-a-perspective-sketch/

Not sure if this is of any help (or makes any sense, whatsoever), but I hope you'll get to finish your work in time for the competition :D

I procrastinate a lot as well and my sister always gets her work done on time exactly.
She says, literally, just do it. Either way it needs to be done so just do it and get it over with.
That’s what she says. Try it and see !
