history. Mia is the daughter of Hayden and Jennifer and the younger sister of Daniel. Both Mia and her brother were born in California and were raised by both American and Korean culture, since her parents are Korean (her mother is a second generation immingrant, born and raised in Califorinia, and her father is an Immigrant who came from Korea when he was still a child). Mia has a great relationship with her family as they all love each other and especially she and Daniel have a special relationship as they tease each other a lot. 

Ever since she was a young kid, Mia loved music and started learning how to play piano at the age of 8 years old. Her parents always gave her freedom for her to follow her dreams and find happiness. She went into a music conservatory to learn classical music and develop her skills, however dropped out after she got acceped into college, so she could persue her own dreams and follows her own view in music. Mia kept learning different instruments and even started to sing (mostly alone in her room). She created her Youtube account after entering into college.

At first glance, Mia seems like a cold person because she is very reserved and quiet, however, she can be a sweet and friendly towards her friends and family. Mia is very protective towards "her people" and she will do anything to protect them, even if that puts her into danger. She is shy and doesn't like to stand out, especially due to the fact that she has a low self esteem and a lot of insecurities (regarding herself, her talent, her career, and so on). Because of her insecurities she can be very sensitive, but she keeps it to herself because she doesn't want to be a burden. Mia is a kind and fair person who believes in justice and goodness and somehow she believes everything has a reason to be and that we should try to do the right thing. She is kind and cares a lot about people and will help anyone who might need help. Best Friend ✈ lucy kim (22) 10/10

Lucy is Mia's best friend. She is energetic and have a lot of creativity and optimism. Lucy is the person who makes the drawings and the animations for Mia's MVs and will also help Mia with Makeup and style. Lucy has been trying to encourage Mia to stop hiding herself and show her identity, but her friend was afraid, so after Mia was invited to YouCon, Lucy thought that it woud be the best place for her to show who she is. Lucy got super excited and has been helping Mia to leave big clues in her last videos before YouCon and also, will help her make a surprise video with the revelation, before Mia does her performance. Lucy is like Mia's energetic pill who boosts her confidence and is always there for her, supporting her with everything in her life, but also lectures Mia that she should be less shy and talk more with people to increase her social skills, because she will need, since she wants to become a full artist. With this journey, Lucy hopes to live an adventure with Mia and have fun (of course Lucy hopes to find love, since she is still denying her childhood crush on Daniel).

Older Brother ✈ Daniel lee (24) 10/10

Daniel is an outgoing, extroverted and energetic person. He loves anime and video games so he gives his sister a lot of ideas for her videos and helps her with the contents since he is the computer genius. He helps her edit her videos (after Lucy made the animations) and sync with her recording. He also helps her with the publicity and management of the channel. He likes photography like his sister, so the two of them also film the sceneries that they think would suit the MV they are preparing. To sum up, he is like her manager (with dealing with people, since she is shy) and helps her a lot with her videos. When Mia was invited to YouCon, her brother freaked out as a fan boy and after learning that one of his youtubers (willhas2chill) would be going there, Mia realized that even if she didn't ask for his help he would probably force her to take him with her.

Friend ✈ brooklyn kim (22) 7/10

Brooklyn is Lucy's classmate and the later thought that the two of them would get along (and had the mischievous that maybe Brooklyn could also help her to make Mia get closer to Aaron). Brooklyn and Mia actually became good friends and Brooklyn, after realizing that Mia had a crush on Aaron, tried to take Mia together when she would be hanging out with Aaron. Brooklyn knows about Mia's secret and advised her to tell who she was to Aaron, since they were becoming closer, but Mia was afraid. Mia was a bit jealous of Brooklyn at the beginning due to Aaron and Brooklyn's closeness and thought that there was something between them, until Brooklyn told her about Matthias. After that, and since Mia was comfortable and friendly with Brooklyn (she let her get throught her shell) she playfully friend about Matthias and promised to help her.

Friend ✈ Charmaine chen (22) 7/10

The friendship between these two girls go all back to a friend in common, who is nothing more nothing less than Chris, Charmaine’s boyfriend.
It all started during a school activity where Mia and Chris met and somehow, they clicked, therefore they exchanged contacts and kept hanging out and exchange opinions about music afterwards. Although Mia is that quiet girl, who may look like she is scared or elsewhere, when she becomes friendly and comfortable towards someone she is a lot more funny and confident than she actually look. However, one day Chris asked to hang out with him and with a close friend of his, and guess who that friend may be? Yes… Aaron Park. The friendly person Chris was familiar with, switched to a shy girl who barely spoke. It wasn’t difficult for Chris to realize that something was going on and eventually after speaking with Mia alone, she told him that she had a crush on Aaron for a long time. Chris, knowing about Mia’s identity collaborated with her and both produced a song for @RealMe where she hinted her feelings towards Aaron and with the help of Lucy with her animations, the track was a success.

During her flight to New York, in her way to YouCon, Mia met Chris who was also going to attend the same event, yet the boy wasn’t surprised when Mia said she would be holding a panel, instead the boy became quiet excited. Chris introduced Mia to his girlfriend Charmaine and hoped that the two girls would get along. Surprisingly, they had similar personalities and it was easy for them to bond over a short time, becoming friends. The two girls shared the same interest in Photography and Mia would be amazed with Charmaine’s talent, always waiting to see more of her work. At YouCon, the girls promised to hang out and spend time together, so it wasn’t unusual to see Mia at the staff room with Charmaine, while people often mistake Mia for a staff member and ordered her to go back to work, leaving the two girls laughing, making this their inside joke. The two girls became close during the event and managed to enjoy the event and make memories together of those days.

details. Mia started doing covers for her Youtube channel, by filming herself playing guitar and piano while singing, without showing her face since she was too shy. Her brother suggested her making different types of videos, so she still recorded her covers, but instead of recording herself she started placing drawings, scenery photos and even scenery videos (she and her brother took the photos and he made the videos of the scenery with sometimes her back silhuete). It started to catch attention from people due to her voice, but she wanted to try something different. She linked her Soundcloud account to her Youtube channel and asked the help of her best friend and her brother to make animations for her music videos. She started telling a story with the videos and her songs, not only her covers, but especially the songs she created by herself, and she somehow left a hint about who she is in each video.

Mia's channel is @RealMe and currently it has around 10.7 million subscribers.
She likes to watch other Youtubers making covers and making MVs of their songs and she admires not only their talent, but also their courage to show their faces or making professional like MVs. She is a huge fan of the Youtuber @letschill since high school (who happens to be her classmate) and admires not only his voice, but how talented he is.

preparations. Mia was invited to YouCon and she will bring Lucy and Daniel as her staff. She had filled a form to request a piano in the event so she wouldn't have to bring her own, however she will bring her guitar and her violin together with her for her performance. She would attend 1-2 panels that would interest her (music panels) and she definetely will attend Aaron's panel. If she happens to receive an entry for Will's panel, she will offer it to her brother since he is a huge fan of Will.

plans.

Mia suffered a lot into finding a good idea for her panel. Since she is going to reveal herself she wants to show a MV of her most recent song (which she will only show in YouCon) and after the song finishes, she will appear and introduce herself. After that she will make a cover of a song with the help of the audience as producing a music like "one stand man", using different instruments or objects to create the beat and ask the audience to clap to make the bass "drum". After mixing the instrumental she will sing the song. From beginning to end, Lucy and Daniel will prepare a background video to appear durng the instrumental recording proccess (like when Mia is recording the piano it appears a doll playing the piano, when the audience claps it appears as the doll clapping, and so on). Afterwards, since she still has some time left, she will sing her songs with piano or her guitar.

Inspiration on Henry Lau (here are some videos of him doing performaces using loop station: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). The songs that Mia plays and sings can be both covers from instrumental songs, her songs or even covers from other music,as you prefer (in case of instrumental songs, Henry Lau also has good instrumental covers with his violin and piano).

Mia was always focused only on her music and when she was in class she was only concerned with learning so she could use it to improve. She truly loved music and it was her life so she really didn't pay much attention to people other than her best friend.
However, during her freshman year a boy caught her attention, he was wearing headphones and listening to music and somehow she became curious about him. She didn't see his face well, but he still managed to capture her attention, because she thought that she knew him from somewhere. Of course, after a couple of minutes Mia was back to her own world and focused on her music.

After finding out that @letschill was Aaron she didn't know how to react, Mia was a huge fan of him since highscool, but she didn't know how to tell him that, so instead she kept admiring his work from far and by her channel. Mia always wondered if he had ever heard any of her songs and what he thought of that. Not too long after, she realized that she cared about what he thought about her work and she was afraid that such a talented person would think that she wasn't good enough.

Once Lucy realized that her best friend was thinking about something else besides music, she became thrilled and even though Mia denied to have a crush on him, Lucy was determined to help her. Aaron and Mia had classes together and he knew her existence exactly because of that, but other than that they didn't have many interactions. To her surprise, it looked like some of her subscribers were also Aaron's fans and most of them would ask for them to make a collaboration and said that their voices were so beautiful that made them wonder if they could be also a good couple, that made Mia blush , but since she knew that it was just fiction, she tried to ignore it for her own good.

Luckily for her, destiny had its ways into making them interacting and even though they weren't actually friends, it was nice to talk to each other, since Lucy introduced Mia to some of Aaron's friends, hoping that it could be a way to make her spend more time with Aaron. The more she got to know him, she realized that she was fancying him, not only as a fan anymore.

Interactions: As they became closer, not only they started talking more, but things between them seemed to change. They were more comfortable around one another and even Mia felt more confident in joking around with him. They listened to songs together, shared their thoughts and inspiration in music, they would talk about anything that came into their mind and eventually feelings would start to bloossom. Mia wouldn't want to loose their friendship, thinking that what she felt was one sided, so if things between them had to evolve, Aaron would be the one to make a move, probably playfully flirting with her and asking her on dates, because this naive and innocent girl wouldn't understand his feelings and would misunderstand his actions.

last words. Hi! I hope you like Mia, I had a lot of fun creating her. In case I was too confusing while writing any part of her, please tell me! To make easy, imagine her as a female and shy version of the music genius Henry Lau from Super Junior. Another song that I think could describe her well is The Climb from Miley Cyrus (trying to keep the disney vibe haha). Also, as a back up love interest I also don't mind Will, it would also be nice to watch them haha.
