After her brother's disappearance, unable to handle her waterbending abilities due to her own instability, she realises how dangerous she is for those she loves. Not wanting to hurt anyone, she decides to heal herself and find a way to control her waterbending. Together with her best friend, they decide to head to the North Pole, however, Kyara had another goal in her mind: become stronger, find her brother and put an end to this war. With her mind settled, she meets Yyn, the avatar who had yet to open her eyes to the reality of the cruel war.
