What do you struggle with?

What things do you struggle with most while writing a story? When I first started writing I really had a hard time figuring out how to punctuate dialogue (⌒_⌒;) and working on outlines so that I didn't write myself into a dead-end. I've gotten better at both but there are still some things I'm working on. So I'm curious, what are yours?

I thought maybe... possibly (I don't know yet, but), I might learn about some of the things you struggle with too and then put them into a writing help fic (if anyone is even interested in something like that? lol). I always learn better when I do it to teach (>ヮ<;) So maybe I could help you while helping myself..?

Update:

I started the fic if anyone is interested

I think the hardest thing of writing got me is the start like I know what I want to write but what should I write first at the beginning??? Like some authors start by writing descriptions of the situation, some other start with dialogues but for me the start is the most awkward situation.

i'm okay with dialogues bc when i'm imagining the scenes, it's all dialogues. i think my biggest problem is the description. especially writing action scenes, i think i'm better at writing emotions more

For me its and writing endings (probably because I have a lot of ongoing works compared to completed ones, lol).

I am super confident with dialogues as well as character development, I just have a knack for that I guess?

Descriptions I don't personally don't pay a lot of attention to...maybe because I prefer dialogue more. But yeah, I need to improve on my writing skills, descriptions and endings! ^^

I have the plot, I can see the scenes in my head, I can't find my words.

For me it's actually starting the writing. I have lots of ideas and plans for stories. I seem to have everything planned out but when I try to start actually writing, I just can't seem to start. Even if I have an outline typed up.

I have been struggling with character development and I am still questioning if my decision to keep the camera rolling after my main characters together-together is right because I feel like established relationship is boring although I'm trying to add conflicts here and there.

hm, my main one would be having difficulty continuing to write the stories i posted. my muse lasts for a while but when it doesn't, everything i write looks like absolute trash to me which then makes me unmotivated. i really want to finish my fics but i keep getting new ideas when i can't even finish my old ones.

I can’t pick one genre, or even group. Some I do better with than others. I’ve also always found writing dialog to be difficult, maybe because I’m not a big fan of talking with other humans.

I started not to long ago, and I'm really having trouble punctuation dialog. I see many other fic writers do it differently so I get confused.
Also, I've been reading so many fanfics that sometimes I think I'm plagiarizing a plot. Not necessarily the whole story but just a similar plot, but even then I get scared they'll get upset. So I just delete the whole fic.

Too many ideas that I want to write about and i start writing people think i copyright everything, I wish I could find someone else to write my idea and maybe i see one story written instead of saying it copywrote all the time.

For me, it would be staying motivated when writing stories (old and new). Work and school tossed me in all kinds of directions, leaving me with no time and room to do my hobbies. Other than that, the one thing I struggle with the most would have to be describing scenes—the "showing" part. I cannot describe things to save my life, and turning my imaginations into words is difficult when I'm working on a story that includes fantasy elements.

To me, I don’t write a lot. But I have a lot of ideas drafted, like if I have the whole whole beginning down and everything. But when I have to progress the story to get to the next part. I struggle with putting it into words. And then finally I just give up writing. I really want to start writing and complete it but it’s just so hard to write it down and then i keep editing it because it’s not good enough and then I eventually just stop. I really don’t know how to deal with this! T.T
