35 Questions for AFF Authors (tagged by OnceUponAnEXO 😂)

Yes, I totally tagged myself 😂 This is a questionnaire that I created back in 2017 when doing tags like this were super popular on aff. I'd love to see people interact more like that again so I decided to refill it out and see if anyone else wants to do it too (◍•ᴗ•◍)❤ So if you're reading this, you're tagged!

Post it in your own blog or do it in the comments here. Whatever you're more comfortable with. And feel free to skip any questions you don't like, or to make it shorter. There aren't any rules. Just have fun!

And also, I hope this helps you get to know me a little better 😊

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

I thought it would be cool to somehow use Once Upon A Time, but I also wanted to use EXO—since I mostly write about them—so I came up with replacing "time" with "exo." To me, it made it sound like it meant it was a story about EXO 😊

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Heat ♡〜٩( ˃́▿˂̀ )۶〜♡ It has 6,319 subscribers

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

I love rainbows and I love Baekhyun 🌈🥰 It was perfect!

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

myheartbelongstoexo 🥰❤ She's not only my AFF bestie but also my real life one too. She's such an amazing person (and also a great writer) I'm so lucky to have her in my life

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Yes! After all these years, this hasn't changed

“If The Police Ask” by masaringo (BAEKYEOL)

(❤.❤) I've probably read it a dozen times

Annnnnd...

“Nothing but Summer” by GinForInk (SEKAI)

Ugh, the feelsss… THE FEELSSSSSS!!!!! I love summer/beach fics, and this one is pure gold!!!

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

771 😱 wow, that's so many!

7. What genre or story types do you find yourself writing about most?

It used to be high school (Which is funny, since I'm wayyyyy past my school years 😅) but recently I've been into fantasy stuff, like fairies, abo, and dystopia

8. How many friends do you have?

7,402 😊 I'm very friendly lol

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Yes 😅 I have a few ideas that I'm hesitant to write. Most of my family are religious so I always worry what they might say or do if they ever found my writing 😕 That holds me back from writing some of the things I'd like to

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Definitely updating! But life (ノ_・。) And I always want to work towards becoming a better writer 😊

11. How many subscribers do you have?

9,311 unique subs, and 13,656 total subs 😳 I didn't realize it was so many

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

I think I have 13 public and a few in draft 🤔 Some of those 13 are just the story forewords though 😆 I'm working on writing updates for them now

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

Probably over a hundred at this point 😆 My imagination is an overachiever lol.

 14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

I write them down if the idea gets stuck in my mind and won't stop bothering me. The ideas I forget about quickly are usually bad and not worth writing anyways 😂

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

Yes, once 😕 It didn't work out and I probably won't ever try it again

16. How did you discover AFF?

I was on Tumblr one day and saw a recommendation for an EXO fanfiction and was like, “Hmmm…fanfiction..? I'll give it a try.”  Best decision ever! 🥰

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

No! Lol 😆 But I'm a friendly one!!!

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

No (⌒ヮ⌒;) and I don't think I ever will… my readers are my friends so it's weird to think of them as a fan that I would call some fandom name.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

Yes! Back when I first started writing (on my old account), Itdoesnthurtme played a big part in encouraging me to write and even gave me kind yet honest advice (which helped me to grow a lot as a writer)! I wouldn't be the author I am today without her help and encouragement! Sadly, she's gone from the site, along with all her amazing sekai stories 😭

And also BaekMeSomeEggyeol. She was my first really close writing friend. Her passion for writing always encouraged and inspired me to do more too.

20. How many karma points do you have?

23,077 (this question is boring… who wrote these?! 😉🤣🙃 Kekeke)

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

The last time I did this I thought I had some good advice, but I don't know anymore 😅 I think the best advice I can give is to write what makes you happy, and if even one person likes it too then you've made the world a better place.

And that not everyone is going to like what you write, but that's okay! Everybody has different tastes. It doesn't mean your story is bad. It just means it wasn't what that specific person likes 🙂💕

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Meh ¯\(°.o)/¯ sometimes I plot, sometimes I don't. Sometimes I'll just have a very basic, very vague idea in my head of where I want things to go, and that's it.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Yes, a few times but most weren't actual story comments 😕 Sadly, the harshest criticism I've ever gotten was from "friends" 😑 Spoiler alert: they weren't my friends. Friends give constructive criticism and ideas on how to make things better. Not tear you down and tell you everything that you've written is terrible or wrong in five different ways

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

Not so far 😅 but I haven't written many action or fighting scenes yet… I think I more just struggle in general 😅 I have a hard time with word recall so sometimes I know what I want to say but can't get it to come out. It can be frustrating and slows me down while writing.

 25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Omg, so many (>ᴗ<;) I'm currently working on updates for…

Dear Diary

Let There Be Light

The Collaboration

The White Witch

I'm writing a new abo oneshot I haven't posted a forward for yet (I'm going to wait until it's finished)

And I'm also rewriting the first two fics I ever wrote (from my old account)

I've been trying to work on the updates first, then the new fic if I have extra time or energy that day 😄 And the rewrites on the weekends

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Hahaha yes! (´つヮ⊂) I think my previous answer establishes that I do!

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

I used to but not anymore 😅 I don't do well with goals or anything that feels like a demand. So instead I've just been trying to be more productive (that's my word for this year) however that looks that day (some days it's writing, some days it's cleaning or cooking) As long as I get something accomplished I'm happy 😊

 28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Definitely!!! I love my first story, but it is a hot mess! ¯(°ᴗo)/¯

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

Hmmm… I don't know 😅 Keychain Buddy, maybe? I like most of them because I write stories I'd like to read myself

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

I don't think I have a least favorite. I like all of them! Even the badly written ones 😂

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Well, over five years ago—when I first created this—I answered, "Hopefully I'll be a published author who also still writes fanfiction for fun (。•̀ᴗ-)✧"

Lol 😂 That didn't happen! But maybe in another five it will 🤷

32. How many upvotes do you have?

1,029

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Coming up with ideas °˖✧◝(⁰▿⁰)◜✧˖° My imagination is crazy overactive. Like, I don't drive because every little thing sparks an idea or image and I get lost in my head kind of overactive 😆

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Figuring out how to get what's in my head onto paper (>ヮ<)

35. Why do you write?

Because of my overactive imagination. And also because I have an almost essential need to create (´つヮ⊂) Stories, crafts, clothing, food. I actually feel like I'm dying inside if I'm not doing something creative

So... I liked doing this kind of thing before so seeing yours pop up again, I have to do it again! Also of course because you called me out and that's so sweet and as you'll see, you're my bestie too <3

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

Well I think this one is pretty obvious :) back when I made this account, I was head over heals with EXO and everything they did so I had no other choice ^^ sadly, it feels like that part of me is slipping away because of life. (Which is going in both good and bad directions, but mostly good, so I'm not too worried about letting go ^^)

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Let me look this up real quick. Alright it's Urges haha I should have known. It's a bit of a rated story and people here seem to like that x) it has 823 subscribers :)

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

This is, in my opinion, the cutest Chanyeol ever recorded and I am still in love with him, so he's not going anywhere anytime soon :)

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

It's OnceUponAnEXO! <3 I don't remember how we got to be friends, but I love her stories! And in real life, she's literally always there for me and I can discuss any problem I have with her. And I can celebrate the good things with her too, she's the best <3

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

I used to have some, but I've been away for a long time and I don't have as much time to read as I used to :c

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

133

7. What genre or story types do you find yourself writing about most?

I love fantasy stories, both to write and to read, but I have a hard time if they don't have an interesting love story, so I try to always include that :)

8. How many friends do you have?

169

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Not really, I think I have some pretty weird stuff out there already x) I don't fear people in the internet judging me as much (if enough people read it, there will be judgers anyway) but I do fear for what people in real life think. That's why nobody I know in real life (except for the ones I met through AFF) knows that I write on here. I only recently started sharing with the people close to me that I love writing and that I want to publish a book too. My boyfriend was a little... surprised, because I hadn't told him before and we're together for almost four years now x)

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Oh absolutely. It's actually being here again and updating! I hate leaving stories hanging and yet, most of my stories are unfinished :/

11. How many subscribers do you have?

I have 2700 unique subscribers, and 4037 across all my stories

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

33

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

Let me look this one up as well, it's probably a lot x) okay so it's 229 of which 137 are EXO fanfics

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

Yes, which is why I have so many stories saved haha most of those aren't finished

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

No, I haven't

16. How did you discover AFF?

This is such a long time ago, I don't remember o-o I think it must have been through YouTube because that was the only thing I used before discovering AFF, but I don't know how it went x)

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

Oh absolutely not

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

No, I don't think they need one either

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

Yes! Everyone's stories I used to read back then inspired me and encouraged me to give it a try myself :) I already wrote back then, but I never thought of uploading them for the world to see ^^'

20. How many karma points do you have?

8291

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

This is a hard one, I don't feel like I'm in the position to give anyone advice on anything ^^ Just, if you want to write, give it a go! And don't give up if you don't see people commenting or subscribing right away when you start uploading things :)

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I used to just figure it out as I went, but recently I've been giving plotting a try as well because I so often don't finish my stories ^^' I thought, if I have a more clear direction of where I want to go, maybe it's easier to continue writing :) I'm not sure how it's working out yet haha

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Oh yes, plently :/ What I did in the beginning, was defend myself, because I couldn't accept criticism at all... later, I tried to see things from their point of view and either learned from the comment, or learned that they had misunderstood what I was trying to say ^^ sometimes, people simply didn't like my characters and though it was sometimes hard to hear, I also believe that not every character can be likeable, as not every person is either.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

Action scenes and fighting scenes can be so hard! The pacing should be fast, but you also want to include details and you don't want to completely lose track of the environment and other characters, I think it's so difficult ^^' I think it's something I'll have to work on to get better :)

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

To be honest, I'm not working on a fanfic right now, I'm working on the story that I want to publish when it's finished ^^

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Yes, absolutely ^^' focus is such a difficult thing when it comes to writing and imagination. I get inspiration for new things all the time and it's hard to ignore them, even though I'm working on something that I really want to finish

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

I did, but I realize that the pressure it brings, stops me from writing or enjoying :/ so now I'm just trying to do something, a bit similar to OnceUponAnEXO :D I'm happy if I can get the laundry done, or write a paragraph and on great days, I can do both :D

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

I think my writing itself has improved, but the ability to sit down for hours and write and write and work out three chapters in one day... that has gone a bit backwards x)

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I have no favorite story on here that I've written, but there's one in my personal folders that I keep going back to :) It's fun and angsty and me trying to overcome all sorts of obstacles, both in writing as well as in the story ^^ even though the writing isn't great, I keep rereading it and adding to it

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

To be fair, I dislike every story that I haven't finished :/ not because I don't like the idea or that what I've exactly written is not what I wanted, but the fact that it's not finished bothers me

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I hope that in 5 years, I will have finally found the confidence to publish my book

32. How many upvotes do you have?

705

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Coming up with ideas and fantasizing about them and the characters in my head, giving them personalities and working out the plot :)

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Sticking to a story, finishing it

35. Why do you write?

I write because it's one of the few things in life that I keep coming back to and it makes me so happy when I write something that comes out as I wanted it :) I also write because there are so many stories floating around in my head, if I would have to keep those all in, my head would be an even bigger mess than it already is x) I've also written a few stories completely about issues I'm dealing with and to try and work through them, those might be some of the most satisfying ones for me :)

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

RHPS is short for The Rocky Horror Picture Show which is one of my favorite movie/musicals of all time. I'm from Oklahoma and someone who is born and raised here is referred to as an Okie. And 22 just happens to be my favorite number.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Are You Sure? It has the most at 296 because it's the first story I ever posted on AFF.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

It's literally a picture of myself. I update it from time to time, so people know right off the bat that I'm definitely an adult. I was already an adult when I joined all those years ago, so I've never been too afraid to show my face.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don't have one.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Yes. I frequently go back and reread most of the chunjoe stories by Kyoooori, who used to be ChrissyJjang and was something else before that, but I forgot that name. Also a few old B.A.P fics from goopeculiar. They make me feel nostalgic for when I first got into KPOP and everything was fun. Plus I really miss LJoe!

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

1099, but if would be more if a lot of the authors were still around and kept their accounts.

7. What genre or story types do you find yourself writing about most?

Whatever hits me. I usually get inspired to try to recreate movies or games that I like, but not always.

8. How many friends do you have?

48, but several are deactivated.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Not really. I mean not everyone is going to like everything and I'm ok with that.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

I'd just like to stay focused and inspired when I start writing. I hate getting blocked and not able to finish a story.

11. How many subscribers do you have?

1,143 unique subs, and 1,263 total subs

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

I have 12 completed stories or drabbles. I have 4 discontinued stories. I have 3 recommendation lists. I have 1 short story dump that can be added to. And I am close to finishing The Janitor.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

I don't use a program on my computer, I only use AFF to write with, but I have 7 hidden drafts/ideas that I've messed around with over the years.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

If I get struck with an idea and I feel it's actually useful then I will start the story in a notebook, but sometimes I just mess around on AFF and end up with something I like as well.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

No, and I never really planned on it.

16. How did you discover AFF?

I was looking at pictures of UKISS online and for some reason a piece of a story came up in the search. I was interested in reading more, so on a whim I created an account so I could finish the story. I don't even remember the actual story.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

No. I consider myself to be old on AFF lol. I've been a member for a solid decade now.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

No. I never wanted that. It's just like when you lightly chat with someone in the grocery store.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

Not personally. I got inspired in general by how mostly positive people on here seem to be. We're all just KPOP fans wanting to have a good time.

20. How many karma points do you have?

2,746 pts, but I've never used any since I joined.

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
If you want to write, then just do it. If you truly hate the story then you can always delete it, but I can guarantee that at least one person will enjoy it.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I usually have an idea of where it's headed, but I usually just go with what I'm feeling.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

I've only had one negative experience on AFF in these ten years. Someone had the audacity to pm me about my Rated daejae fic recommendation list, talking about how one of the stories I had added to the list was rumored to be one of the most hated fics around. I passive aggressively told her that I didn't care. My recommendations were just that, mine, and that they were stories that I enjoyed and I just put them in a list so I could find them to reread.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

I'm terrible at trying to write .

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

I'm currently finishing The Janitor. I only have a few chapters left to write.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

When I get motivated to write, I go for it. Most of the time it just stays in drafts though.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

Sort of, but not on AFF. I try to write at least weekly in my journal, but that doesn't always happen.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

I hope I have improved a little bit. I mean, it has been ten years.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

Probably, Yet To Be Discovered because I had so much fun writing it.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

How Much Is That Daehyunnie In The Window? I had big plans in my head for that story and it just didn't come out how I wanted.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I'll probably still be around on here.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

146

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Coming up with a thousand things to want to write.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Staying motivated to finish.

35. Why do you write?

It's fun to tell stories. It gives you some control when you feel powerless. And it's something that doesn't cost money, and anyone can try to do it.

I am quite tempted to do this.. should I do this.. should I not ... trying to be brave.. doing this..

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

Whatever I typed ... name was taken.. tried numbers .. taken.. so ended up with whatever aff accepted after two days of trying.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

Captured. 2997 ! Shocked.. this is like too many..

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Coz it's Chanyeollie...

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I am not that social.. there were some readers who regularly commented on my stories. I may not have chatted or talked with them.. but felt close to them.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

Umm... a few stories.. I have read twice or thrice.. tsukuyomi no mikoto (barkmesomeeggyeol),  will of the stars( hyunchanee_exo), half the moon(bigdaddytaemin) .

8. How many friends do you have?

86! Thanks to them for sending requests.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Some of my stories are already morally questionable... I would like to write more but yeah I am very very afraid to be judged. Also growing up idk if I should write red flag characters.. but I do want to write ... I have realized handling some triggering topics without knowing much about them is kinda dangerous. And many are getting triggered by things that aren't trigger to me. I am afraid of unintentionally hurting people. I gave this lot of thought  and sometimes I wonder if it's okay to publish my writing or just write for myself.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

.....

11. How many subscribers do you have?

7562 unique sub, 16591 total... like when did this happen... unimaginable..

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

What to do with this 🤔

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

I have so many ongoing ones, so many drafts and new ideas popping ... no planning..

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

I tried it, it's exhausting. The feelings ,the mood need to come to me.. I will write whatever story I am feeling at that time based on my mood. Can't force writing. Sit for hours and write nothing if I am not feeling it.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

     nothing.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Ooh, I've always wanted to try these :3

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?
- Sapphire, because of Super Junior's sapphire blue! Though, I don't really remember where frog eggs came from. :/

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?
- ATSJVFF (A Trashy Super Junior Vampire FanFiction)

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?
- I thought Hyukkie looked super cute! And he looks super cool blond.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?
- I do not have one :'). But perhaps I shall one day!

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?
- Twisted Confession, the one shot by mochixoxopie. I love some short fluff!

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?
- Gwaaah, 2. But there's so many fanfictions here, I'm sure I'll find more over time!

7. What genre or story types do you find yourself writing about most?
- Usually fluff and supernatural, esp with vampires.

8. How many friends do you have?
- Gwaaah, 1. I'm a bit shy to get myself out there, esp bcuz I'm sorta new.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)
- Not really! I'm pretty shameless when it comes to my writing, to be honest.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?
- Probably actually writing, but I know I shouldn't rush it.

11. How many subscribers do you have?
- 3!

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?
- About 11?

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?
- I think the number would be close to 20, but I keep my writing in a bunch of different places online and offline so it's hard to say~

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?
- I mostly keep them in my head, unless they're reeeeally good. Like, multiple days of daydreams good.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?
- Yes! Not here, though~

16. How did you discover AFF?
- When I looked through old Hyukjae pics, I found one that led to a oneshot here~ I didn't get an account for a while after that though.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?
- Definitely not~

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?
- No~ never knew that was a thing, actually.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?
- Nope~

20. How many karma points do you have?
- 5~

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?
- I know it's cheesy, but simply enjoy writing! Even though it takes a lot of time and energy and effort, it's the core way to find your voice and style. It's how you find out what you like and don't like, and as you get better, you can push the boundaries and explore so much in your art. So many authors you may love have probably done this too. And of course, to compare yourself to them is unfair to yourself, and all the progress you have yet to make. Be inspired, but don't force yourself to fit a certain mold, if that makes sense~

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?
- I mostly figure it out as I go, though I do enjoy having a few huge plot points to work towards.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?
- No, and to be honest I'm a bit nervous about when it will come ^^;. But I know it will help me in some way!

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)
- Hm... I'd say writing action scenes and serious conversations/confrontations are difficult for me to write, because of pacing.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?
- I'm still writing L.O.V.E, and I have a couple of other ~unnamed~ projects I'm building.

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?
- Yes! I just have too many ideas~

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?
- Nooo, I find that when I do I push myself too hard, and it ends up not being my best work.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?
- I think so! Perhaps not by much, but the words definitely come through differently.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?
- Ah...there's another vampire Hyukjae story I never published. It's a little more slice-of-lifey, and I work on it whenever I need a pick-me-up.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?
- Hm...it might be Huntsman Next Door? I feel as if I didn't execute the premise as well as I'd wish, and it leaves a bit of a bitter taste when I reread it.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?
- Still writing my cheesy garbage, hopefully! Lately my interests have been shifting away from it, but this is so much fun, I don't think I'll ever truly stop. Maybe I'll have writer friends :).

32. How many upvotes do you have?
- None!

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?
- As I tend to write fluffy romance a lot, I think I'm pretty alright at coming up with cheesy and comforting words and scenarios. I guess coming up with premises comes easily as well, in that case~

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?
- Staying motivated! Sometimes I'll reach a point I really wanted to write, but since it's done with...it's like I didn't expect it to get that far, and end up stuck? So weird~

35. Why do you write?
- Two reasons! When it comes to the fluffy romance stuff, it's because I want to express the things I want to experience. When it comes to the more serious writing, it's because I have a world in my head I want to explore with the characters I come up with. To complete a piece it truly rewarding, because then I have a physical representation of it that I can always come back to and share with others who may enjoy it~

Seeing this blog. Thinking okay it's cute I wanna do this. Sees that it's 35 question's... Okay let's do this.

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

I had a childhood friend who was Korean. We're not in contact anymore as his family went back to Korea. But they couldn't pronounce my name correctly (which by the way isn't a hard thing to do) so they renamed me Dawon. And their family name is Kwon. So it kinda just stuck with me trough life.

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

The Boy Who Just Wanted To Make It In Life.

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

I love Baekhyun, he my ultimate Bias. And I love Corgies. Especially their asses, it's so cute.

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I don't really have a BFF Bestie I think? Applications for it are open though if anyone is interested. :P

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

The War by DarlingJongin.
It's not on AFF anymore but it's on ArchiveOfOurOwn.
That story is just chef's kiss.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

784.... I'm a booknerd I like reading deal with it.
7. What genre or story types do you find yourself writing about most?

WItches and the magical world. I love Harry Potter and Charmed. I love anything magical really.

8. How many friends do you have?

18. But I started accepting friends not too long ago. Also I'm a very shy guy. And Introverted like hell.

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

Not really. As much as I am shy and introverted I also have no filter.

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Updating mostly. I do work part time and even on the days I'm off I'm fully packed. So maybe once I do find that one little space of work/life balance I shall give this another try.

11. How many subscribers do you have?

306 unique ones and 713 in total.... This girl is really trying to make me do math...

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

5. 3 are finished. 2 are ongoing.

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

None. I keep them safely locked in that special part of my brain.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

Keep them in my head. And when it's time I dust it off and bring it to life.

15. Have you ever co-authored a story?

No... I really want to try though but with updating it can and will get tricky. But hey, if anyone ever needs a proofreader... hit me up.

16. How did you discover AFF?

I searched ChanBaek on Google and this was the 3rd thing that came up.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

No. I don't really think I want to be one too. The pressure of it will drive me crazy.

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

No. And I don't want to either. I call you all lovely and nice things anyway.

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

No not really. But Dark_Caramel, RoyalKaiBaekLove and CCLay2020 do have a special place in my heart.

20. How many karma points do you have?

731

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

For me it's one of my life motto's. If you want to do something, just do it. If your second guessing then it's maybe not for you.
However that first comment of my first story does make you feel amazing.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

I have a red string of beginning, middle and ending and just write everything around it.

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

No. Knock on wood I never will.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

Action scenes and .
Action scenes because I can never write what I have in my mind
... well if the situation calls for it I certainly will write it but as of now it didn't so I won't.

25. What story(s) are you working on now?

Raised By Wolves. (Update out soon I promise)

Bewitched By The Mafia Boss. (Stuck in there.. will be for a while tho.)

26. Do you plan your next project(s) before you finish your current ongoing story(s)?

Yes, absolutely. You want something on your backburner especially when your stuck in your current story and you want to write something else.

27. Do you have a daily writing goal set for yourself?

No. As chaotic as I am I just write, think up until a certain point is enough, publish and next chapter. Whenever that will be done.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Oh hell yeah, My layout (which I need to change in my first 2 stories) is so much better. And I'd like to think my English writing has become better but that could very much be my own interpertation.

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

I love all my stories equally.

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

The Boy Who Wanted To Make It In Life
Not really a least favorite but I needed to write this in order to move in in real life. Because a lot of these things did happen to me in real life when I was 13 to 16. I'm a 26 year old boy now so writing does help with a lot of things. :')

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

Hopelfully still writing. I have so many stories to show y'all.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

59

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

Coming up with the red threat of how I want a perticulairy story to go. My mom and friends have told me numerous times that I have too many fantasies in my head. And well.. their not wrong.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

Writing action scenes. And finding the time to write.

35. Why do you write?

Because writing about what happend to me in the past for me is an art of letting it go and move on with my life. And because it's hella fun.

Thank you so much OnceUponAnEXO for this gun questionaire.

First of all, I would like to point out that I am French, I write regularly, in French on another site and that here, it's about translation and that takes time, which I don't always have. ^^''

1. How did you come up with your user name and what does it mean?

GabEXOKaiBaek because my first name is Gabrielle, I write about EXO and my pairing is the Kaibaek Simply :-)

2. Which is your most subscribed to story?

"The White Wolf" with 30 subs. I'm writing about a so-called "rare" pairing that people aren't too interested in, so I think
that's pretty good ^^

3. Why did you pick your user photo/thumbnail?

Kai and Baekhyun because they are deeply embedded in my heart

4. Who is your AFF bestie?

I would say RoyalKaiBaekLove, because we have the same passion, which made us know each other here.

5. Is there a fanfic that you keep going back to read again and again?

There are several but if I have to name just one I would say "PS: I love You" by RoyalKaiBaekLove I don't know how many
times I've read it.

6. How many stories are you subscribed to?

133, as I said before, there are few KaiBaek and many stories appear in AFF searches but no longer exist

7. What genre or story types do you find yourself writing about most?

I write in all possible genres, fantasy, everyday life, on specific themes when it comes to a story for Christmas or Valentine's Day, etc. my
inspiration is capricious and demanding ^^

8. How many friends do you have?

8, Mouahahahahha it's miserable ^^

9. Is there something you'd like to write about but are afraid of people judging you for it? (Feeling brave? If so, share it!)

I have no constraints, I write what I want, it's my inspiration that decides, yes it's still there ^^

10. Is there anything you would like to be better at on AFF? Writing, graphic design (posters), replying to comments, updating regularly, etc..?

Regular updates, yes, because I write a lot in French but I can't find the time to translate and be able to publish here.

11. How many subscribers do you have?

59 unique and 85 in total not very hype the kaibaek and I'm sad :'(

12. How many stories have you posted online to this day (finished and unfinished)?

Only 7 here, mainly O.S for lack of time to translate long stories.
But otherwise in French I am at 39 (including 6 in the process of being published)

13. How many stories do you have saved in your writing program?

28 in projects, more or less developed.

14. Do you write down story ideas, or just keep them in your head?

Desperately searching for kaibaek fiction to read.

17. Do you consider yourself to be a popular or famous author on AFF?

No not at all

18. Do you have a nickname or fandom name for your readers?

No, I never thought of having one

19. Was there an AFF author who inspired or encouraged you to write?

No, not here.

20. How many karma points do you have?

391

21. What writing advice would you give to a beginning author?

I have already helped beginners with writing, spelling or given ideas to unblock them, when their inspiration had a breakdown, but otherwise I
just tell them to have fun writing and not to hurt themselves for lack of comments, because it can be very quickly discouraging for beginners.
Afterwards, without it coming from me directly, I have already been told that I have inspired and given the desire to write, such statements are
very sweet for the soul.

22. Do you plot out your stories, or do you just figure it out as you go?

Oh ! I plan until I have maps of Seoul or Korea, I do research on cities, I look for photos of places, characters and make drawings of certain
places, objects. It even happened to me to build apartment houses on Minecraft to better project myself into space ^^ I write very detailed
plans, which sometimes are downright scenes written in full ^^ My inspiration of the moment me makes you dive very deep sometimes ^^ And I
discuss it with my readers on facebook, I ask them their opinion, I have a teacher who is my beta and who helps me when I suddenly have a
problem with the turn of phrase, I have a nurse who helps me with possible injuries, illnesses, for credibility in the text, afterwards I also give
them excerpts, preview book covers etc. ^^ They have been there since my beginning in the Kaibaek and they are important. But I digress, sorry
^^''
And when all this is done, my chapter is written, (I write on paper), I type my text and I can't help but rectify it to perfect it more muahahhaa, I'm
crazy in fact! ^^

23. Have you ever gotten a bad review or comment on a story? If so, what did you do?

Not a bad review no, but people who misunderstand it happened twice or three times.

24. Is there a certain type of scene that you have a hard time writing? (action, , etc..)

No, it's fine, no worries on that side.

28. Do you think you've improved as a writer since you first started?

Oh yes of course, with the years we improve, fortunately :-)

29. What is your favorite story that you've written?

30. What is your least favorite story that you've written?

They are my babies, I love them all.

31. Where do you see yourself (as a writer) in 5 years?

I don't know. I still hope to write, because it does a lot of good to my soul.

32. How many upvotes do you have?

Only 19, people read and leave without leaving the slightest trace of their passage and it is disconcerting.

33. What is the easiest thing about writing?

-Inspiration. My head is overflowing and I have to control myself otherwise I will never be able to write my stories being published.

34. What is the hardest thing about writing?

-Stay focused. Concentration is complicated, my mind wanders all the time, that's also why writing at night helps me.

35. Why do you write?

I have always been creative, drawing, decorative painting, I also create digital games for children, the elderly and the visually impaired, in my
job, cooking too, is a creative pleasure that sticks to my skin, photography , clothes and the creation of Halloween costumes I love ^^ etc. and
writing, which is a huge way to expend one's creativity.
It’s also a good way to feel good in my head. Writing is therapy for me, I need it like breathing today.
