"so, alexandra..."

the girl inwardly lets out a sigh and begins to prepare herself for an earful. somehow, their dinners always had a segment at the end as they eat dessert where alexandra is suddenly in the spotlight, after the multiple conversations praising her two siblings.

"i heard you got sent to the headmistress' office," her father began after taking a sip of his tea, he stares at her with that stern look she's awfully used to, "for the third or fourth time this month."

"heavens, alexandra!" her mother reacts in distress, her face visibly upset, "what on earth, did you do?!" 

for some odd reason, her siblings are more uncomfortable during these segments than her. alex, on the otherhand, sits there with an unfazed expression, completely silent.

"according to this letter the academy sent me, she decided to shoot a small fireball at a student which led to his pants catching on fire. it caused quite the commotion." her father answered before turning back to his daughter, "you could have killed someone."

'well, he's still alive—he just went home in a different pair of trousers.' alex thinks to herself. 

"my god, alexandra. we didn't teach you to be like this!" her mother tells her in nothing but exasperation, "when your sister was in school, she never caused any problems!" 

"and even your brother, we never hear him being sent to the headmistress' office. he's top of his classes and we hear nothing but praises about him." her father adds along, "why can't you be like them?"

alex hasn't touched the food in front of her since the conversation began; both of her hands are on her lap, tightly clenched into fists. it's funny how she can't seem to get used to being compared when it's what she goes through day by day, regardless alex says nothing because she knows that they would lecture her for retaliating.

"why did you do it?"

"no reason." 

disappointed sighs escape her parents' lips as they hear her upsetting response. her siblings, in the midst of it all, turns to look at her before exchanging knowing glances. they know she had a good reason why. 

alex blankly stares at their family painting, they look the perfect family there, yet here they were in suffocating silence as they've addressed the issue, leaving her father and mother with nothing else to say. 

she knows that the of their so-called show has reached its end, the entire castle is in an uncomfortable atmosphere because everyone in the near vicinity has heard the conversation. 

so to smoothly transition back, alex stands up from her seat. "i'd like to head up now," she says, "i no longer have an apetite."

alex bows before she can leave the dining room. she notices the maids and the chef who were standing near the door to listen to the commotion earlier, "thank you for the food." she politely says on her way out as she bows to them.

"oh, the poor thing." the maids mumbled. 
 

alex's relationship with her parents can be described as rather unstable. although she tries her best to have a better relationship with them, her efforts are often impeded by their critical attitude towards her. 

they find themselves always comparing her to someone else, mainly her siblings. they remain quiet when she does something that should be commended for, believing that it is what they expect of her therefore should be the standard of her behaviour.

but the moment she does something that's not up to their standards and expectations, regardless of how miniscule it is, alex gets an earful of criticisms and comparisons. 

as a result, alex has become rather jaded, choosing to appear unfazed by paralysing her emotions. though she battles with the feeling of inferiority sometimes, alex has a drive to prove herself worthy to her parents and to be finally praised. 

it's just a matter of knowing how to prove herself worthy.

"come in."

the door opens as soon as she hears alex's voice. diana enters with a slice of cake in one hand and hot chocolate in the other. 

alex, who was doodling on her homework sheet, lightly smiles at her sister's gesture. she always knew how to make her smile. 

"knowing you would never reject dessert, i brought it for you." diana mentions, placing the plate and mug on her study table. 

"i mean, i didn't have an apetite by the end because i was really full from what we ate as main course." alex began, turning her chair around to face her sister who sat on the edge of her bed. 

diana playfully scoffs before laying back on the bed, "you always have a second tummy engaged, alex. even if you were full, you'd still eat dessert." 

the latter hums in reply, taking a sip of the hot drink. comfortable silence then falls as alex eats her cake and diana becomes lost in thought. 

"i'm sorry."

her sister's apology breaks the silence and as she sits upright, diana is met with alex's confused expression. 

"it's fine, ana. i'm fine." alex says, "don't apologise for being awesome okay? keep it up, i'm like your biggest fan."

diana lets out a laugh at her sister's words, "if you really are my biggest fan, will you say that you love me?" she sends a teasing grin at her younger sister's way who simply returns it with a deadpanned look. 

"no."

"not even once?"

"fine. i,,, i l-lo,,, i appreciate you." 

alex's face is unamused as diana starts to coo, "not the exact words i was hoping for but it's fine." she comments, "come here, i want to give my biggest fan a hug." 

"no, give it to your other fans instead!"

diana is alex's older sister by seven years. polite, modest, smart and gentle; she's the perfect daughter anyone could ask for. 

as the eldest, diana is responsible, taking care of her siblings and setting an example for evander and alex to follow. she was a model student in aisling academy and even after graduating, she's used as an example by other students to follow.

for alex, she likens her older sister as her second mother. diana is the one who tends to her and listens to her; she's the one who shows the lack of affection that alex never really gets from their parents. 

although their parents compares alex more to diana than evander, she feels no hatred towards her older sister. diana is someone that alex looks up to, she aspires to be as selfless and dependable as her.

but diana hates it just as much when their parents use her to compare alex; she feels sorry and constantly apologises as if it was her responsibility.

diana doesn't know how alex can handle it, because if it was her, she would have lost it. 

within the game, diana does not appear but she is seen in family portraits such as the one of the royal family and their own family portrait. she is also mentioned a few times mainly by alex and the princes but also as one of the academy's stellar students who have graduated.

evander hears muffled laughter at the other end of the door. he doesn't even bother to knock, a habit he's used to seeing that alex never bothers to lock her door. 

opening the door, he stops in his tracks as he watches his younger sister running from his older sister who has her arms stretched out. he tilts his head in amusement, a grin on his face before leaning against the door frame. 

"i didn't know there was a zoo here." 

alex immediately runs to him, hiding behind his larger frame to protect herself from her sister's hugs. "save me, she's planning to shower me in unnecessary affection!" 

diana stops running, sending a look at her brother who simply nods. he's always down to make their little sibling suffer. 

the youngest notices the little exchange of glances that her older siblings did. before she can even try to run away, alex ends up in evander's arms as he lifts her up. 

"sorry lexie, but no can do." 

diana immediately shuts the door tight in order to muffle alex's screams that makes it sound as if they were torturing her when all they're doing is enveloping her in hugs and cuddles.

which is the same thing as torture for her.

a few minutes pass and they're all tired as they lie on her bed. they used to have huge spaces between them when they were little but now that they grew up, the three were rather squished. just like before, diana was on the left, evander was in the middle and alex on the right. 

"so what's the real reason why you set that kid's pants on fire?" diana finally asked.

"and don't you dare say no reason because we can smell your lies from a mile away." evander adds. 

alex rolls her eyes at her nosy siblings but she's grateful they know her well, "he was just those stupid elitists that liked bullying commoners. no one did anything to stop it, so i stepped in."

evander lets out a laugh as he replays the scene in his head. "man, that was actually really funny though. you should have seen his face, ana. he nearly cried because his pants were on fire and he couldn't do crap because he had wind power."

"you were there?!" the girls say in unison.

"dude, you ! i could have used you to pour a water bomb on him, no one would've known it was you."

diana stifles a laugh as she facepalms, "i can't believe you, andy. the one time alex's bothered to use magic is for something you knew she was going to get in trouble for and you didn't even stop her."

"alright, at least i saved her from getting a punishment.  i used my charms, smarts and most importantly, my dashing good looks to convince the headmistress not to give her one."

"as if you did." 

"okay, i brought in the victim and made him report the ongoing bullying that punk did to him. which is technically the same thing." 

"you're so vain, andy." 

"my vanity is for jokes okay, besides i think you mean 'thank you, dearest brother how can i ever repay you?'"

"i was going to say thanks but nevermind."

evander is the older brother by two years. due to their small , alex treats him more as a friend than an older brother.

while alex is close to both her siblings, she gravitates more towards evander as diana is often caught up in the affairs their father and mother want her to take. besides, she sees him more often than anyone else. 

alex spends more time with her brother due to the fact that they're both in the academy and they hang out fairly often. the two also go home together on weekends and during the holidays. 

evander is like their oldest sister; he's also a model student and an all-rounder. though he can be cheeky and flirty, he knows when to let loose and when to be focused. he's also the other person that alex is compared to the most. 

both being fire users, evander helps alex a lot with her powers. he teaches her tricks and ways to have more controlled, powerful and accurate blasts. but of course, evander also spends time with his sister by tagging her along to his sword and arrow trainings, only because she forced him to. 

just like any brother, he's also protective of diana and alex. he's there to support them, and they always have each others' backs.

similar to diana, evander does not appear in the game however can be seen in their family portraits. he is mentioned numerous times by alex and the princes.

"hey loser!" 

the crown prince, followed by his bodguard continues walking. he knows who owns that awfully familiar voice.

"morning to you too, dear cousin!" he calls out, taking bigger strides with his long legs to .

the students around them begin muttering amongst each other. they're all thinking of roughly the same thing. they wouldn't dare call the crown prince a loser, regardless of whether they were related or not. 

but alex is alex and she doesn't care what title is slapped on his name, he's family.

alex, unable to keep up with them, decides to run. her stupid dress and her equally as stupid heels are weighing her down, but it doesn't mean she hasn't forced herself to run faster. 

by the time she catches up to them, alex's left hand smacks the crown prince and her right smacks the loyal bodyguard. 

"it was real nice of you two to just flex your tall and athletic priviledges." she grumbles, "i hope you step on a lego block barefoot."

"you're so nice, alex." the crown prince has managed to pick up on his cousin's snarky remarks over the years.

the girl simply laughs, a bit off guard at his comment. "whatever, loser." alex replies in amusement, "how's marriage life going?" 

the crown prince instantly rolls his eyes, it annoys him how often other people remind him how he's engaged to roseline. it's even more irritating now days when his eyes and heart are on someone else. 

"you really need to stop calling it that." he says, before clarifying his cousin's choice of words, "we're betrothed, not married."

"same thing honestly," alex shrugs, "you've known each other for a long time, i might as well put you in the same category." she explains, turning her head to his bodyguard before nudging him, "right?" 

the loyal bodyguard simply nods, to which alex smiles at in satisfaction, "see? even a genius like this one agrees."

"whatever." the crown prince grumbles. 

"then again, i do see the possible counter-argument. if all we consider is the sense of time, you might as well be married to your bodyguard since we've known this solider before roseline even came in the picture."

the crown prince laughs, shaking his head at his cousin, "i mean i was letting you win this, you didn't have to raise the opposing arguement."

"which is why i had to argue against myself because you're no fun," alex refutes as she childishly sticks her tongue out, "besides, i know you hate it. marriage after all."

"no, it doesn't. marriage is wonderful if it's with the person you love." he responds in a somber tone. 

"well, i can't relate."

the prince sends her a look for ruining the moment yet is met with an apathetic shrug, "you'll change when you get married." he tells her cousin. 

"ha! it'd be a miracle if that ever happens," alex grins when she hears the prince laugh and his guard's barely audible chuckle.   

"anyways, i'll see you two in class." 

"bye, alex."

the crown prince is alex's older cousin by a short amount of time, and because of their tiny , she has no regard for his so-called authority. for now, at least.

apart from evander, the princes were like her brothers. she grew up with them and when their families got together, they were always together. 

although her parents tried to engrain it into her brain to be more respectful and formal to the crown prince, alex outright disobeys. she knows him well enough, to the extent where alex isn't so sure how well she can obey his orders once he's reigned king.

everyone in the entire kingdom knows he's going to be their next ruler and because of that, majority act cautiously and are overly formal towards him.

but alex is the fair few who treats him like any regular person and he appreciates his cousin for that. 

within the game, players often come across the crown prince and alex talking, or alex approaching the crown prince whenever he has a conversation with the player. 

the two characters tend to exchange jokes and teasing in front of the players which in return, helps the protagonist see a side of the crown prince.

the girl hums in response as she continues reading the book in her hand. 

"if you were to choose between me and my brother, who would you pick?"

"none." 

the second prince groans at her immediate response, "just choose one."

an exasperated sigh escapes her lips while she closes her book. alex looks up at her cousin with contempt, "none." she recites her previous answer in a slower manner. 

"listen, i'm your cousin. choosing between you two is like the equivalent of choosing if i'd rather stub my little toe against the leg of a table or smash my funny bone into the corner of that same table."

the prince can do nothing but roll his eyes at alex's analogy. she has a point but he's not going to admit that out loud. 

"alright, hypothetically speaking, if none of us were related," he modifies his question, "who would you choose?" 

"still none, you're both annoying." she says without hesistance, "why are you so intent? what's this for anyways?"

"nothing in particular." the male answers in a heartbeat yet she picks up the subtle but prominent defensive tone in his voice.

alex looks at him incredulously before she begins to playfully mock his statement, "uh yeah, sure—don't lie to me, i can smell that bull a mile away," she snaps at him as her hand runs through her pink locks. 

"i mean i get it if you're into that chick too but dude, i'm the worst person to ask for a decent opinion. one, i'm your cousin. two, i see you both as infuriating. three, i'm very clueless at things like this, and did i forget to mention that i'm your cousin?"

the second prince is rather speechless, he tries not to give away that he's shocked by immediately appearing unfazed, yet alex is aware he's curious as to how she knows.

"who said that i liked the commoner? what sort of nonsense have you been hearing?"

"i never said commoner." alex states with a smug look on her face as she catches him red-handed before laughing, "don't even try making excuses, young man. it's obvious."

"how?"

"i was a detective in my past life," she says jokingly, "anyways, i really don't care if you both like the same girl. as long as the two of you don't result to killing each other."

the second prince only responds with a nod and alex begins to pick up her book again, "anything else?"

"nope."

"good. feel free to leave or watch me read, even if that would be creepy." 

 

the second prince is alex's younger cousin by a short amount, they don't really take in consideration how alex is older, sometimes he forgets and only realises when she tells him that she's older after he teases her for her height.

alex's relationship with the prince is really no different from his brother. they were the three musketeers, and alex treats the two of them equally. 

she equally tells them they're annoying and equally tease them despite calling them the annoying ones. alex is pretty equal when it comes to them and it's probably the reason why she's sort of like the glue between the brothers. 

while the second prince does harbour a lot of envy and anger towards his brother, it's their female cousin that prevents him from doing anything stupid due to his feelings. 

since little, alex has been the middle man; she never took sides and always called out their flaws or mistakes with blunt honesty. if not for her, the second prince's brotherly relationship with the crown prince would be a lot more intense than it is now.

although, there is one thing that differs her relationship with the second prince. they're both frequently shadowed by their siblings hence they can relate to each other a little bit more. 

alex's interaction with the second prince in the game is just like the crown prince's. 

"i'm v glad the devs don't recycle the same jokes that alex exchanges with the princes. it's different everytime which makes it more interesting."

alex squints her eyes as she observes the girl across her. roseline is smiling, not in a fake way, but in a genuine way.  

what a strange sight to see. 

usually alex pays no heed to roseline and her irritating shrill that she calls a voice, or her entire existence for that matter. 

but there was something about her that just didn't feel right. 

alex scratches her head before pushing her confusion aside, crossings her arms on the table and resting her head on it. she's too tired and lazy to care. 

the bell rings indicating that class is over, she hears the shuffling of footsteps exiting the room then a moment of silence which is broken by the person she least expected. 

"hey alex, are you okay?" roseline's voice rings through her ears. 

alex immediately lifts her head up to look up at her, she takes a fairly long pause, wondering why roseline was suddenly so concerned about her. 

standing up, alex stares roseline down who is visibly uncomfortable by how she takes a step back from her. "forget i asked, i'll just take my leave."

but alex stops her from doing so by leaning forward to place her hand on her forehead, "are you sick?"

"uh n-no,, i don't think so??" 

roseline is a bit flustered at alex's question whilst the latter is puzzled. roseline would have instantly swat her hand away before it could even come in contact with her skin. 

"usually, you'd say 'don't touch me! i don't want your germs!' or you don't even ask if i'm okay." alex explains, eyeing roseline in suspicion, "did you smash your head into a wall or something?"

roseline lets out an awkward laugh before she sheepishly rubs her nape, "i mean i did bump my head last night." she fibs. 

alex blinks, she isn't too convinced but her stomach growling distracts her thus pushes her interrogation for another day. 

"you must have bumped your head so hard that you're like a different person." 

"hahah,, yeah..." 

the pink haired girl simply shakes her head as she walks away from roseline, yet she finds herself scratching her head again in confusion. 

alex stops midway from heading out as she turns around to look at roseline who trailed not too far behind her. 

"geez, as controversial as it sounds, i think i kind of like you better when you were too self-centred."

alex is really weirded out by her concern; if this was roseline's way of freaking her out, it was totally working.

"but i guess since we're pretending to be a bit nice to each other, we can walk to lunch together." 

"o-oh, okay!"

 

alex and roseline met when they were little kids. meeting a new kid roughly alex's age was exciting for her and so they started to become friends.

however, their friendship was short-lived. it began when little alex was playing with one of the servant's son. he had water powers which he excitedly wanted to show her and she was eager to see. 

the boy drew out a huge water ball from his hands but he had trouble controlling it, and unfortunately roseline was walking past so it landed right on her.

roseline, being roseline, was furious and it caused her to reveal her true colours. she talked rudely to the boy who was profusely apologising and alex had to defend him. 

"hey, he said sorry. isn't that enough?"

"that good for nothing commoner won't fix my wet state! why are you even siding with him? i'm your friend!"

"i'm not here to pick sides— the things you said weren't nice, you should say sorry."

"absolutely not! why do you associate with people like him? he's not even from a low-ranking noble family." 

"you know, what? you're a brat." alex said, she was in the midst of drying her up with her powers and immediately stopped once roseline said those words, "i don't want to be friends with you anymore, i don't need a friend like you."

since then roseline has treated her coldly, they try to ignore each other but they have to interact one way or another due to alex being her fiance's cousin. roseline tries to rile alex up a lot while the latter treats her like any other person; she offers her help, greets her, and overall is civil with roseline but it's the brown-haired female that treats her, and everyone else, rudely to the point where alex has to step in and call her out for it. 

alex is pretty simple; she's the 'treat others the way you wanna be treated' kind of girl, and treats roseline kindly but whenever the latter treats her rudely, she does the same.

roseline had always been rude to her, even if she tried to be kind, to the point where it was best if she just mostly ignored her and so it was a surprise for alex to see roseline being a bit concerned about her. 

since roseline's change, alex would be very suspicious and weirded out by it. she'd be one of the first to notice the change due to her observant nature and would be the one to try figure out what caused the change. 

however, alex wouldn't mind it. sure, she's uncomfortable by roseline's change but it's a good change.

the protagonist is carrying books that she's ordered to carry to her classroom. it's a bit heavy and her arms are beginning to ache. 

the weight she's carrying gets lighter as a certain pink-haired female approaches her, taking half a pile of books from her arms. 

"thanks your high- i mean,,, alex." 

alex sends a nonchalant shrug, "no worries and it's good you managed to say alex this time round, or else i would have placed the books i'm carrying back to you."

"i'm still getting used to it." 

"yeah, well get used to it faster." she says with a teasing grin, "also didn't you have a partner with you to carry these books? your arms looked like they were gonna snap just then."

"oh, i didn't want to ask anyone else."

alex shakes her head, "you should've done so because i'm sure that a couple would be more than happy to help you." she explains in a rather ambiguous manner.

arya slightly tilts her head  in confusion, "i don't quite follow." she replies. 

a chuckle escapes alex's lips as she gives another shrug, "you don't need to." 

"alright then."

they reach her classroom and the two stop before the door, "thank you, alex." 

"not a problem." alex hands back the books and places it gently on top of her pile.

"you're not going to be in trouble for taking a long time to get back to class will you?" 

"nah, don't stress about it." the girl waves it off cooly, "i'll say that i was battling with severe case of diarrhoea or some other tmi excuse that'll make them regret asking."

arya chortles at how transparent alex was. she wonders if she'll ever get used to how nonchalant the girl is. now that she thinks about it, arya finds it funny how she once perceived alex as posh and out of reach.

"i'll see you around?" 

"sure. also, remember to ask for help next time."

the protagonist's relationship with alex is a bit reliant on the players' choice. 

as a general, alex is civil towards the main character however, during the times where she's being bullied either by roseline or the members of rose club, alex steps in to stop it and protect her. 

it isn't really special seeing that alex would do it to anyone else who needs protection. she just can't stand injustice and seeing an incorrect use of power. 

so on one side, if players choose a route in which the protagonist treats alex rudely or they have done something hurtful to others for their own gain, alex will treat the main character coldly however won't hesistate to protect them from roseline regardless. 

"don't think that i'm protecting you because i like you. it's just annoying to see roseline do whatever the hell she wants." 

but if players choose a route where the two characters interact in a friendly manner, it will lead to alex and the protagonist being friends. throughout the game, alex is seen teasing the protagonist regarding her four possible love interests and in general, joke around with her. 

alex doesn't persuade her to choose either of her cousins, she lets the main character choose freely and give advice, which she's not qualified to offer, when needed.

alex is also in the game just to ridicule the cheesy lines said by the protagonist's love interests, providing some comic relief.

many of the students at the academy often wonder how alex and arya get along quite well despite being opposites. one's a huge extrovert and the other's pretty shy; arya's a commoner and alex's a royal; one girl's a bit too kind for her own good and the other one's a bit too feisty. but as they all tend to say, opposites do attract.

alex does her best to help arya out, mostly through practical means but also by trying to help her be more assertive and gain self confidence. she hates seeing arya allowing herself to be trampled on like a doormat or have her kindness be taken for granted.

somehow whenever alex is around the girl, she nags nonstop like a mother—telling her that there's a big difference between being kind and being taken advantaged of. alex's way of telling her off is done in a playfully angry way, but arya often ends up thinking that she truly is mad and as a result, alex just sighs. she's determined to make arya understand her sarcasm and humour some day, preferrably before they graduate. 

"i think the reason why a lot of people love it when alex mocks the cheesy stuff is cos it's almost like a humorous and clever way for the devs to acknowledge that what they wrote is super cringe."

"how are you so excited about this?"

alex peers up at the childhood friend with a dour look, "we're dissecting a frog, how are you not excited? we're doing something fun for once." 

the childhood friend doesn't appear happy about it, fixing his safety glasses whilst he replies, "it's a frog."

"yeah, what did you expect? a human?" 

alex and her classmate begin to take turns between carefully slicing the frog and note-taking. the childhood friend taps his pen on the table and stops as his focus lands on the protagonist giggling and fooling around with the crown prince. 

the mixed feeling of turmoil and envy start to settle in his body, his hands clenched in a tightening fist til alex's fingers come into his sight, and her snaps bring him back. 

"y-yeah?"

"i said to note the colour of its flesh down." she repeats again for the third time before glancing at where he's looking at. 

alex rolls her eyes and heaving a soft sigh at her newfound information, "and another one bites the love dust." she lowly mutters to herself. 

the childhood friend is still too focused at the sight in front of him, so alex decides to threateningly swing her hands at his face.

"alright, i know you'd rather have her as a partner but i want to get this over and done with so i can be first in line for lunch."

his hand immediately covers as he whispers, "for heaven's sake, shut up alex. no need to be loud about it."

her eyebrows furrow in anger and the next thing he knows it, a wet sensation causes him to pull his hand back after alex pokes her tongue out to his cupped hand.

"gross! what was that for?!"

"that's for unnecessarily covering my hand, you wet sock! it's not like anyone heard!"

"gosh, you're so weird." 

"whatever, lover boy. get working." 

the childhood friend rolls his eyes in slight annoyance before washing his hands, then he puts his gloves back on.  

"oi, alex. look," he says moments later and pulls out the frog's tiny heart, "it's exactly like your heart." 

"at least, i wasn't the one being a complete whiny baby earlier because i wasn't paired up with my one and only." 

"you ." 

"yeah, well, get over it princess. oh— and can you please hurry up? i'm hungry." 

 

the childhood friend and alex have a good friendship. they first met at an event held not long after roseline and alex ended their friendship.

"hey, wanna play? my best friend isn't with me at the moment." 

"oh sure, why not? who's your bestfriend?"

before entering the academy, they only see each other a couple of times on parties and events where they played with her cousins and other kids, which then progressed into roaming around the host's place while they talked as they got older.

they weren't close friends but during public events, they turned to each other when the two didn't feel like socialising because they were at least comfortable lingering around one another. 

but since entering the academy, the two of them have gotten a little bit closer, though, they have to the tendency to dismiss each other's presence whenever roseline would be around as she would complain as to why they would be hanging out.

alex and the childhood friend shares a lot of classes together and can often be seen sitting next to each other whenever they're in a class where they're not particularly as close to anyone else. 

from a glance, the two may not seem as if they get along due to their constant bickers however, that's just how their friendship is. alex loves to tease the childhood friend in any way possible, and doesn't hesistate to grab every opportunity she can get. though the childhood friend is often fed up with it, he appreciates her light-hearted attitude. 

within the game, alex's friendship with the childhood friend is heavily implied when he talks about her. he calls her a "pink-haired clown" and says that "the only time she is cool is when she stands up for what's right but besides that, she's a mess." 

alex doesn't make any appearances in his route apart from the general scenes where she protects the protagonist.

the crown prince's guard notices a familiar face as he returns to class.

with an eyebrow raised in slight curiosity, the pink-haired female flashes a grin at his way as she salutes with two fingers.

"shouldn't you be in class, your highness?"

the girl instantly rolls her eyes at the title, letting out an irritated groan, "for the last time, it's alex. drop the dumb formalities, will you?" 

"you still haven't answered the question."

"life is too short to be in class." she lazily crosses her arms as she tells him, "what's your excuse, soldier?" 

"i'm not too sure whether your parents will be pleased to hear that." 

alex shakes her head, "that'll be something i can handle later on— also, stop trying to deflect my questions."

the loyal bodyguard shrugs nonchalantly, mimicking alex earlier by having his arms crossed, "life is too short to be in class."

as alex was about to respond, they hear a feminine voice call out his name.

"oh, hello your hi-" the protagonist is sent a knowing look by alex which she smiles at sheepishly as she corrects herself, "alex. i hope i didn't interrupt anything."  

alex sends a nod, she then tilts her head to the bodyguard's direction indicating for the girl to speak to him. 

"thanks for helping me out again. i'm really thankful for what you did." 

"it was nothing." 

"i gotta head to class now, but i'll see you two around!" 

alex cheerfully waves at the girl running off and disappearing to the corner. once she's out of sight, alex drops her hand and turns to look at the male behind her. 

she observes the lightly pink tinge gracing his face and alex starts to smirk, "i hate to break it to you, but your cheeks sorta looks like my hair, dude."

the bodyguard's cheeks begin to redden as she points it out yet he remains staring at her unexpressively. "no, it's not." 

"sure, soldier." her voice laced in pure and absolute sarcasm, "i mean i was just on a bathroom break, but clearly you had a very urgent priority," 

"but it's okay though, it's a refreshing sight to see." she tells him with a wide grin, "the robot soldier has feelings."

"i ask that you do not tell a soul about this, miss alexandra."

"well if you stop with all the formalities and call me alex then we have a deal." 

"but that's unprofessional of me."

"please, your professionalism can die in a fiery pit for all i care, do we have a deal or not?"

the loyal bodyguard sighs, alex had always been a stubborn girl. he had seen it in the way she would try to persuade her cousins to play a different game when they were all little. he just didn't expect that he would be a victim of her obstinance.

"alright, fine." 

"good." alex says in satisfaction, "but even if you said no, i would have kept it a secret regardless, but there's no backing out now. your secret is safe with me, heck, i'll even pretend that i was never aware of it." 

"thank you, alex." 

alex simply pats the boy's shoulder, "well then see you around, apple cheeks." she teases, laughing the moment she receives a glare, "i'm kidding."

"see you." 

 

alex isn't quite sure what to categorise her relationship with the loyal bodyguard. they have known each other for years, since he became her cousin's bodyguard, yet they're not necessarily close. 

alex is one of the few who can manage to interact with the bodyguard without feeling intimidated or scared. no one's really sure if it's because alex has no regard for fear or she's a total social butterfly, though it's likely it could be both. 

the loyal bodyguard treats her with civillity as she is part of the royal family, the family that he serves. however, alex tries her best to make him treat her like any other person because it irkes her.  

though they've known each other for quite some time, and they tend to hold a couple conversations, alex wishes that they'll be a bit closer to the point where they can fully acknowledge each other as friends. 

within the game, her relationship with the loyal bodyguard is hinted when he briefly talks about alex. he says that "she knows a lot more than she lets on which contradicts her apathetic disposition."

similar to the childhood friend's route, alex does not make any further appearances in his route apart from the general scenes of protecting the protagonist.
