Soowon is easily said to be a kind person by everyone who knows him. He was always a kind character who liked to help those around him. From ensuring the safety of that student who always goes home by themselves so late at night to helping s patrol on a busy night - he's like an angel sent from above. He can also be quite playful around those he's close with, especially around Bitna. He finds it amusing to tease Bitna once in a while or play harmless jokes on his friends. The man is also calm, able to keep his head straight whenever the siren starts wailing. He knows how important it is to stay calm and not rush into action in his line of duty. A very patient man, Sowoon is a hard bubble to burst. He's not the type to be easily annoyed or angered by problems and setbacks and if often the one to reassure everyone else that despite how slow they were going now, they would surely reach the end.
However, the man is still human with flaws. Sowoon can be oversensitive at times - he might take that scolding to heart or actually get his feelings hurt with how your tone is with him. Background
The only son to the Lee household, Soowon was brought up wonderfully by his two loving parents. And their family only grew with the arrival of his younger sister. His family had no difficulties in terms of finances or marriage - they were just your any other typical family.
However, Soowon knew something was different about him ever since he was little. From how the coldness of winter seasons never seemed to bother him and how if it was a little too warm for his liking, the temperature around him would drop to what he preferred. He always found ice, snow and cold to be his main interest as a child and his parents chalked it up as curiosity at a young age.
He still remembers the day he first discovered his powers on a usual winter day. He was outside with his mother, coming from the store for a quick visit when a truck sped down the road they were about to cross. The slippery roads and a failed brake system was a recipe for tragedy and Soowon can still see the look in his mother's eyes when she saw the truck speeding down towards them. She shielded Soowon, despite knowing how fruitless it would be. But the truck never collided with them and the mother and son walk away a little shocked and frightened but unscratched with a story to tell.
But, Soowon knows what happened. He froze the tires of the truck to the road and he remembered the neighbourhood aunties saying how weird nature worked. To test his theory on whether he could truly control what he thought he could, Soowon started with placing his hand on the little window in his room and watched as the glass panel froze right in front of his eyes along with the bottle of water nearby. As he released his hand, the frozen glass and water were still frozen and it's not until he touches it once more do they return back to their original state.
The dreams come closely after. Flashes of fighting and Sowoon realizes that he was an adult in his dreams. He sees the members of the team he was fighting with, they're unclear but Sowoon just knows that these are s - the people he was going to save the world with. He was part of something bigger, a member of Star of Earth. He had a purpose to fulfill but it was a long time before his time would come.
For the next couple of years, Sowoon continues to remain low about his powers - fearing the enemy would catch whiff of him somehow if he told the wrong people. He trains in secret, there was a place 10 minutes away on a bicycle that was quiet and had barely any people around so it was a good place for him to practice without beeing seen. This was how he managed to properly experiment with his powers, not fully enough but enough for him to know about the little things he could do.
As like any other person with superhuman abilities, Soowon did - more than once in a while - used his powers for good deeds or just to mess with people. From making his school a little colder on the hottest day of the summer to making sure his friends ice cream wouldn't melt as quickly as it would, most of the things he did was just to make a smile appear on someone's face.
However, he knew he could never tell anyone about the truth of his powers. He couldn't risk the chances of him getting found out by people or worse, having the Stars of Heaven get to him before he had a fighting chance.
As he gets older, Soowon starts realising he could use his powers to help people as well. From making runaway burglars trip while they were being chased to freezing an engine of a getaway car, he saw how he could use his powers for good in secret. If you asked Soowon, he'd say that he was grateful that he was born with such powers. His gifts were a blessing - he was chosen to act as one of the protectors of Earth.
Perhaps it was already in his blood or determined when he realised he was going to protect Earth one day from being destroyed but Soowon decides that being a police officer would satisfy his heart for then. Protecting those around him without using his powers, it would still make him someone's hero at the very least.
He becomes a police officer, graduating from police training academy with flying colours and plenty of fangirls from his own precinct as well as spreading to other departments. There's a feeling of fulfilment and satisfaction with patrolling, catching criminals, answering distress calls that he gains with joining the force but it's not enough to fill his heart. The job he does now is only a little of what he could actually do with his ice powers.
Another dream calls to him suddenly one night, shocking him as it's been years since one appeared. He wakes up to realize he's frozen his bed and that his room has icicles hanging from above - he could only think of one thing. Whatever he dreamt of was enough to truly scare him and it was going to come soon. It wouldn't take long before it was finally time for Soowon to embrace what he had been waiting for all along - the war was coming soon.

Although Soowon is a quiet man, he found himself to enjoy Youngmin's sociable approach.
After finding out about the accident, Soowon took the time to personally visit Youngmin and comfort him about it. He heard him out, gave advice where he could and helped him to slowly move on from the said incident. He couldn't just let Youngmin's ambition fizzle out so easily and wanted him to get his mind to a better place again.

But there's something about Bitna - something Soowon couldn't put his finger on but made him so curious and interested in her. Soowon knows it's bad but he starts hanging out with Bitna alone and the two of them hit it off pretty well. He listens to her as she rambles about her family, her relationship with Taejun and other things but he still listens to her.
He still remembers the first time he saw her cry on his graduation from high school. She was smiling but she broke down when Soowon gave her a hug. All he could do was give her a pat on the back and wish her the best with Taejun because he was that good of a friend. He wasn't going to steal another man's girl - that wasn't like him.
His crush on her developed more when the two of them get transferred to the same precinct and ended up doing a lot of patrolling together. They became the precinct's supported couple despite everyone knowing about Bitna's boyfriend status. Everyone clearly saw how well the two of them got along but the boyfriend in the picture made it impossible for either of them to go anything beyond friends. However, it doesn't stop Soowon's feelings from growing as he spends more of his hours with Bitna. There's a special connection between the two of them that both of them couldn't deny.
Soowon's the one always bringing her back from drinking if she gets drunk or the one taking shots for her whenever someone offers when she's way to drunk. He remembers her birthday, met her brothers and parents and is always the one to calm her down when her fuse blows at incompetent officers who try to flirt with her. If he thought Soowon would easily let Taejun drag Bitna out of the apartment, then he was wrong. Taejun can see his breath and realises how cold the room had suddenly gotten.
"If you ever think of showing your face in front of me or Bitna ever again - I'll make sure you never ever feel warmth in your life ever again," he threatens into Taejun's ear before releasing his grip on Taejun's arm. The determined look in Taejun's eyes are replaced with fear before he runs away - he had no idea what just happened but he wasn't going to make the same mistake twice.
It takes them a while before they start going out but once they do, Soowon doesn't hold back anymore. He showers her with pet names, gifts, quick kisses on the cheek and just being very affectionate with her. Even after she gets promoted to detective, they still try to spend as much as time together as possible. He prides on his girlfriend being a detective and often helps her out with cases when he can - just to make sure she doesn't blow a fuse in public.
Their engagement wasn't really romantic. While sitting down in the breakroom of the precinct, Soowon just asked her a simple, "Do you think we should get married one day?" He can cause temperatures to drop and not feel the effects on him. He cannot make living beings out of ice, only stationary objects.
With his ice powers, he can also blast ice attacks (similar to energy blasts) at intended targets. These ice attacks will freeze targets, causing them to be immobile until he decides to melt the ice with his powers. Sowoon can also unfreeze objects stuck in ice. For Sowoon, cold temperatures are no bother to him - he can withstand negative temperature without feeling any problems. But this does mean he dislikes warm or hot temperature thus why the air always feels a little colder near him.
