hmm....these days i kept finding myself writing a blogpost halfway....or more....but never end up posting them....yet not deleting them either....wonder why...

i'm trying to make this waaaayyyyyy shorter n to the point so that i won't end up hesitating from posting.....hopefully...

so....these days there are quite a few comebacks i've been watching...and...

i'm kinda surprised to see amongst them there's....

Minwoo!!!

 

nothing much to say bout the mv....typical current trend of kpop mvs....disturbing (if yknow me you'll know what i'm referring, if you don't...try not to assume)...the song....not really a fan of(yet, though it's growing on me a little)....but it's always a good choice to have female rapper feat for male solo methinks....it provides contrasting sound that makes it more refreshing than just having male singer male rapper....i like the rapper's voice too....

i thought he'd just release a song...but lo n behold....

he's actually performing on music show?!!!

now....i didn't expect that....i mean....Minwoo has had quite a few releases....mostly in Japan...but i didn't expect to see him on Korean music shows....man...i gotta say....seeing him the only one still hustling in music industry(mainstream one at least) just wow....makes me proud as a ZE:A fan...Minwoo is one brave kid...i'm glad he hasn't given up after ZE:A until now...even if fans easily eat up the 'we haven't disbanded thing'....cuz that's the easiest meal to eat...cmon, whoever's not naive enough would know...that's just a safe answer in case....and beneficial for all of them...evertime i see groups saying they're not disbanded when they ended...and the fans go around scolding everyone who sees the reality....i feel bad for those fans....well, glad i've been around long enough to know better....i'm not saying they won't get back...but it will just be a matter of luck for fans....groups that don't disband won't be hanging up in the air doing nothing together for years....if one day they reunite...well, that's good....but i'd see it more as disbanded group getting back together to release sth....see the diff? no? eh...whatev.....still good to see him....

^ omg yeah...he even had a showcase?!! he upgraded a lot!!! sobs...

upon some basic search done....so he had a Korean release earlier too....that wasn't promoted i guess....

i like the song better i guess....

but anyway, his new song....i like that he's going for this solo male debut thing rather than trying to redebut in another random group....solo male dance singers in kpop is a market that still has a lot of space to fill....rather than oversaturated idolgroups....n his new song n concept tbh reminds me of Taehwa from my ult group Battle who released Fallen Angel about a year after his group went on indefinite hiatus back in 2009(until now....but....not disbanded!!! coughs lol..../rollseyes/) coincidentally or not....Taehwa n Minwoo both are the main dancers of their respective groups. of course Taehwa was like the main vocalist too though i believe Battle had none since Taehwa, Chris n Hwichan usually had more or less same amount of parts and they all had the vocals n distinctive voices to stand out too.

i miss Battle. sigh. well, i miss ZE:A too. heck i miss all my fav groups that are now a thing of the past but still my favs bcuz i'm stubborn to stay in the past n nothing in the present quite won me much anyway....

since you can't get too much of Minwoo....have some more....(and let me know if you want more of Battle lol)

(fyi, i did this compilation for all ZE:A members except Hyungsik & Dongjun....simply cuz they have waaaaayyy too many parts....and i'm lazy...and tbh...initially i planned only to do for Siwan, and then Kwanghee....bcuz those were the members i wanted people to know that they could sing...so Siwan n Kwanghee had the most number of videos for this compilation....but then i end up making 1-2 for Kevin/Junyoung/Taeheon/Heecheol/Minwoo too....

^ bcuz i really think Minwoo's voice stood out the most here despite having least parts n i want him to release sth in rock genre bcuz i think his voice would suits rock soooo well!!!

^ she released a few live versions in her yt channel....and as much as you might think....who is she? nugu?...unless you know MelodyDay...or remember that she won as King once in King of Masked Singer where it's always mentioned in The Unit that she seemed annoyed/sad that people only called her masked king like that has bcome her name lol...i mean, yeah...understandable since she was on that show back in 2015, but it also showed how much impact she made...she was superb in The Unit though,...a shame she didn't win....if she had won....who knows the winning group might've been upgraded and who knows if they'd have gotten some attention? much as MelodyDay wasn't that known(besides poorly promoted by their company who made wayyy more effort for The Boyz n then threw out my girls....ugh)...but Yeoeun as a vocalist does have an impact. I couldn't help but noticed there are already a lot of random people(Korean of course) posting their covers of her new song on yt....when she's not even promoting on music show.....that impact!!!

somehow i wish Yeoeun would go the Im Hanbyul route n post covers of her singing to various songs on her youtube consistently....she could become big like he....i mean....Korean seems to appreciate talented vocalists more than international fans who just go for popular idols...

i truly miss Yeoeun....and maybe that caused me to even mistaken a gagwoman in recent ep of King of Masked Singer to be Yeoeun(to be fair, that lady was almost as good as Yeoeun, and even her body language reminded me of Yeoeun)....i'm not sure if she's able to come out on the show again....i'm still not satisfied that she only won once bcuz the coming week she had to compete with a 'fun' perf that people seemed to prefer over ballad....even when her vocal were definitely superior n unrivaled.

^ there's no way this lost. nope. (well, same said for Hanbyul's perf too....but he lost....during freaking 2nd round....ugh....were ppl there deaf or sth? n i hate how international fans would go to all his vids just to mention he's the vocal teacher of their Exo oppars...i mean....so what? do they need to repeat that in all his vids now? good thing he's always been popular in Korea for his vocals n singing alone....go see how many the views are for his covers in his yt channel.....and that was waaaayyy before the revelation of his connection to Exo...yes, i know that, since i've always followed him...he was an idol himself.....though it wasn't his idol past that made him popular....more like, his balladgroup past....)

^ i guess this is her team's most popular perf in The Unit(or rather one i feel can be the most popular one with ifans....) though tbh....all of perfs with Yeoeun were my favs in The Unit(for girls.....for boys, it's definitely My Story)...be it Twinkle(with her group members, you can see the audience love their vocals), Give It to Me(which got bashed a lot for the rappers bcuz everyone just wanna copy the mainstream comments they see...n some Sistar's fans just wanna do the stupid comparing thing....bleh...still Yeoeun rocks), Cosmos(see how she even rock this concept? haa....while some just want to be pretty...Yeoeun embracing her weird/quirky side), and the final song....

^ just embed-ing this since Yeoeun is in thumbnail lol. she sounded soooo good....i can't watch any other perf of this song by Uni.T bcuz there's no Yeoeun's beautiful voice n her adlibs towards the end which is my fav part.....and even though Woohee won center spot for this perf....would it hurt anyone if they gave one of her lines to Lee Borim(since the former had tons n the latter had barely any n it's freaking final perf)....though tbh...i don't think Lee Borim should even be in the finals or the show....she's like Kim Sohye of The Unit though maybe she's a bit better? idk...but she's definitely not even a singer, while the show was about flopped idols vying for 2nd chance....(maybe she didn't want to win and hence taking the tiny bit of parts n hardly screentime towards the end?)

^ her solo intro part is definitely my fav...such a stunner ><....sadly, the other times MelodyDay on the show....their song choices were rather....meh....n didn't showcase much vocals....a waste since they all have pretty good vocals and they even had Yeo freaking Eun. n speaking of Immortal Song 2.....you should check out ZE:A perfs(ZE:A is Minwoo's group....the guy on the first part of this blogpost)....ZE:A surely had some of the most superb stages on IS2....i mean, they're freaking good at engaging the audience....the audience never did not go crazy during their stages.

but i have to say...i'm disappointed again in KARD's new song....sigh....i miss the days when ppl complaining their songs sound the same and i love 'em songs.....now....all these tryhard-ish sounds/titles....i guess....since BM is producing for the group....it'll remain this style for awhile....n ppl will love it....oh well.....at least Jiwoo get lots of parts....that i love....though i wish she get lots of parts for song i love....haha.....
