hyemin pretty much fits the society's beauty standards – not too tall, and not too short; a skinny body and fair skin. she weighs 47 kg and is at 166 cm tall. she personally think that she's skinny enough but of course; the pressure of being an idol – especially a visual member, at that – makes her the target for vigorous exercise and extreme dieting to take care of her figure, they said.

hyemin has a long jet black hair since forever; and plans to keep it that way. hyemin possesses a flawless skin – mostly, thanks to her genes. she thought that she was a skincare junkie; she knows her stuffs around the skincare world and knows a few skincare gems. however, she realizes that there is more work to be done when you are an idol. the monthly facials, the constant eyebrow plucking, eyelash extensions, hyemin has it all since she become an idol.

hyemin is also very interested in makeup! her favourite makeup item is highlighter but she doesn't mind being makeup-free. she believes that she's pretty with or without them. however, sm doesn't like the idea of her without makeup though. they avoid letting any of their idols being seen without makeup. in this case, she isn't special.

when it comes to fashion, hyemin likes to experiment. she could sometimes be seen with bright colours where she looks like a three years old; sometimes, she'll whip up her 70 years-old dress that she bought in the vintage shop, for a change. the possibilities are endless with this girl– but if there's one thing she feels the most comfortable in, it would probably be something that is feminine yet badass at the same time. she has an infatuation with high heels though; and is really good in walking around with them. she prefers heels over flats, anytime. her clothes are anything but basic. take a pick of her wardrobe!

her clothes when she's inside her dorm is definitely something very basic though. she usually wears an oversized t-shirt and shorts. those are super comfy; topped with a fuzzy blanket? perfect pajamas. pair with a pair of sneakers? perfect training gear. she likes to keep it simple since she wants her personalty to shine during training. she likes to pair her outfit with dr. marten boots when she's training because she still thinks that sneakers are ugly. this is her little cosy clothes section!

+ hyemin is also very caring — in her own way though. well, hyemin has little to no ability on taking care of someone; she can not cook to save her life, her driving skills is wacky and she faces difficulties in common sense, just in general but she'll always be there for you. it may not look like it but hyemin is very observant. this girl knows what's up and if something's not right, she'll know it in an instance. she tries to care for you depending on the kind of person you are – if you're interested in shopping, she'll take you to a shopping spree. if you're a foodie, she'll take you out for cafe-hopping. it's a trait that hyemin didn't even realize she has. 

+ hyemin is open-minded as well. her parents are educated and that raised her and her siblings to be accepting of people from different backgrounds. she does not judge others quickly by their upbringing, their race, their religion or their ual orientation. while she is a gossip, it's all for some good fun. she never really hate anyone in particular – she just likes to know what's going on around her. hyemin is also open to trying new things! she's the kind of person who you would ask to do things that you haven't do with.

+ let's talk about hyemin's humour; well, it was kind of odd but endearing nonetheless. she likes to crack jokes but when she did, people doesn't really understand her jokes. it gets frustrating at times; but during the times where she did, it's really satisfying. hyemin is good with witty comebacks though – that's pretty much the only jokes that people can understand. she's easily entertained and her laugh is the loud and heartfelt yet contagious laugh. her smile itself fills the room with nothing but good vibes.

+ hyemin might be a rebel but in every stupid decisions she made, she takes full responsibility of her actions. she believes that everything in life has its own outcome; and she's more than willing to accept both the good and the bad ones. of course, she'll whine about it – blaming others about it as well. she fell? it was because the floor was too slippery; but she'll also put the blame on herself for not being careful. she's on her own now — and if she wouldn't want to take responsibility of her own life, then, who will?

= she has never shy away from the crowd – and charming people is apart of her job; so, what's wrong with flirting, really? hyemin knows how to swoon someone and is good at using that skill of hers. among the trainees, hyemin is one of the popular ones. of course; this does goes sour sometimes. some people view her as promiscuous just because she flirts a lot. 

= hyemin is quite playful as well – well, of course, she likes teasing others. her teasings are quite mild and most people don't mind it. some even bond with her, thanks to the teasings. however, hyemin can sometimes be too playful which does make others see her as childish and immature. 

= hyemin is very talkative! she has an amazing set of soft skills — small talks? she's a professional. political issues? she's knowledgeable. she can talk to a stranger or a room full of people with all eyes on her; hyemin is the kind of girl that you would share your deepest secrets with, just after talking to her for a month but she can be too friendly where someone felt uncomfortable with her. sometimes, the best type of communication is silence.

= hyemin is bold; she's bold bold. hyemin is the kind of person who wouldn't mind being put in the spotlight. as a matter of fact, she loves the spotlight. she can greet strangers; confesses her feelings to someone just because. it's hard for you to forget her; she's one of a kind, as she would say so herself. while being bold is good since you'll make an impact on everyone, the impact itself isn't all positive. for example, while she might not mind being a center or a leader of the pact, some might find her too assertive and slightly pushy.

- hyemin is extremely choosy – she knows what she wants and she's not afraid to express it. she doesn't like green peas, she prefers rose gold or silver. she's the kind of girl you wouldn't have a problem with choosing where to eat; but of course, this comes off as bossy at times. some see her as someone who likes to knitpick. this trait also made her ungrateful – she knows she can have more, so why stop here?

- this girl is hard-headed. she's pretty much made of 100% uranium because this girl is hard to crack. sure; being opinionated is good at times but when her beliefs are wrong, it's hard for people to stop her. she doesn't take no as an answer; this queen of reasoning isn't all talk without facts. as a matter of fact, you might fell into her reasonings; warning: manipulator ahead. 

- hyemin can be insensitive a lot of the times. sure; she's observant. she knows how to read faces, how to offend people – and that just gives her more power. han hyemin isn't afraid to use that against you. you're conscious about your appearance but you're still talking about her behind your back? well, get ready for a whole 10 minutes speech about how ugly you are. you came from an underprivileged family but you' disrespected her? well, get off her cloud, lowlife. she's that mean girl but really, she just uses this when you anger her a lot. don't take her as miss super bitter.

- perhaps it's her looks, maybe it's her upbringing or maybe it's just her; but she's one hell of a salty girl. she sees herself as the superior one in the crowd – unconsciously. jealous? perhaps; but she could never settle with other people being the best. if she gets a low score, then, everyone needs to have lower scores than her or she'll feel jealous all week round.

- han hyemin likes to think of herself as wise – but really, she's not. she's one of the most impulsive human being in earth. she makes decisions on the spot without thinking of its repercussions first. she says that she's following her heart – but most of all, she's just too lazy to think.

it's an overstatement to say that hyemin is rich – but she's definitely privileged. her father is an engineer – a mechanical engineer, to be precise but hyemin doesn't really know about her father's career. she never really cares. her mother is a lecturer who teaches business. basically, hyemin is someone who's on the upper middle class. not too shabby, eh? her childhood was pretty much normal – she's clever, her family is happy, she has a healthy relationship with her siblings; things should sail smooth, right?

however, hyemin didn't feel contempt by it. when hyemin was a teenager, she was overweight. the classic tale of fat-shaming by her peers didn't happen to her, thankfully – but she does feel the different treatment she receives. pretty privilege is real. while her best friend gets roses on valentine's day, she gets texts from baskin robbin reminding her about a sale. you don't really know how lonely it feels – not having someone to love you is lonely; but when you, yourself, don't love you, the pain... is something else.

she didn't know what kind of spirit that got into her; but at the age of fourteen, she decided to turn the tables around. she went on a vigorous diet of liquid diet for three months. she exercised like crazy – and just by a summer break, she transformed herself into a goddess. she thought that being pretty would made her feel happy; but no, she wants more and that's how the crazy idea of being an idol came through.

hyemin might be someone that's rather easy to go along with; but when it comes to the elderly, hyemin gets a little awkward. perhaps it's the fact that she didn't get much of a say when it comes to her parents. as a matter of fact, her parents initially were against the idea of her being an idol but after a lot of begging and convincing, they finally let her become a trainee. her father and her barely talk due to their differences. she used to talk a lot with her mother but recently, she got busy and didn't talk as much with her as she would like to.

look; hyemin and hyerin hates each other but they love each other as well. hyerin would take a bullet for hyemin but there is no way in hell hyerin would let hyemin uses her blouse. but hyemin did anyways. hyemin and hyerin shares a lot of things together; while hyemin doesn't even trust her bestfriend, she does trust hyerin. to hyemin, hyerin is a clingy older sister who can't stop calling her every day. to hyerin, hyemin is her little sister that she needs to protect. hyerin is the one who convinces her parents to let her be an idol. hyerin spends most of her money to give to hyemin (but don't let hyemin know, she's oblivious to how little her sister make).

they met after the debut of statice – when they were formally introduced as members of statice. things were awkward at first; there's a whole lot of members in statice and she's not the type to open up in a second as well but after hanging out several times, they become closer; yerim's extraverted self matches well with hyemin's listening skills. yerim feels comfortable gossipping and sharing stories with her, just as much as hyemin does. plus, hyemin is good at finding good places to eat; and yerim is a hearty eater.

they're similar – but different in a way. they met in a salon – both having the same mutuals and it just clicks off well with both of them. while mia and hyemin isn't as close as they would like, they do hang out together whenever both of them are free. mia is a sisterly figure to hyemin despite keeping her childish side with her. she has strong morals and is usually, the first to tell hyemin if she's doing something wrong. mia is the kind of girl that keeps hyemin's feet on the ground.

one brings out a girl crush vibe when she's actually a softie, one brings out an angelic vibe when she's a total savage. they say opposites attract? well, wrong. at first, they don't really care about the other. hyemin is the new pretty kid; haneul is the popular trainee. so, there isn't much to say about them. when they both had become members of statice, they were kind of close – not the best kind of friends – it takes awhile for hyemin to trust someone but nonetheless, still close. it all changed when the mark figured out haneul liked him. since then, hyemin keeps a distance between herself and haneul. of course, there are times that you gotta fake it in front of the camera but she tries hard to not be anywhere close to her. plus, being compared to her . hyemin didn't hate haneul – that's immature; but she just didn't like to be reminded of mark or the comments on naver. she did sometimes go overboard with shading haneul sometimes because lol #yolo but it's all done in pure fun. she didn't wish for her to be outed or something.

we go all the way back with them; mark and hyemin were together. they met when they were trainees and hit it off well. the two definitely were attracted to each other – the term 'boyfriend' and 'girlfriend' was too risky for them since the dating game can cost them their dreams. therefore, they settled in with having a 'some' relationship. they texted each other every morning, they went on lunch dates on their off days, they trained together, they pretty much were 'that' couple. statice and nct speculated about them – girls and boys are equally jealous that these two somewhat dated. they kept their relationship a 'secret' by saying that they're just friends. plus, mark has a lot of female friends. so, the suspicion sort of dies down. it wasn't until mark decided to take a 'break' once haneul confessed to him. at that point, he was confused – liking hyemin would be rather cruel to haneul. even though he didn't like haneul the way he likes hyemin, mark still felt guilty. he didn't want their friendship to be over – plus, he knew haneul before he knew hyemin. so, he calls for a break. in his defense, he requested a short break, not a break up. however, hyemin is not having any of it. being compared to your bandmate hurts – but being compared to your special someone? that hurts just more. it makes you feel... unworthy of your partner and for someone with huge insecurity issues, it didn't settle well with her. she constantly tries to improve to be on par with mark; to feel that she's worthy of his attention – but when he call for a break? that was her last straw. she did all she could to be on his level but now, he's prioritising haneul's feelings over hers? she decided to cut off their contacts for good. at first, mark felt angry on how selfish she is but slowly, he realized he missed her good morning selfies and their sneaky lunch dates. mark wanted to make amends but hyemin isn't having any of that.

personality jaemin is pretty much the cutest goofball ever. he has the brightest smile and the cutest laugh. he's very funny and pretty much a fun person to be around with. he's not afraid with skinship and apparently, he flirts a lot uwu he's also very random. 11/10 cute goofball.

love story 

they first met during the formal intoduction of the girls to their labelmates – prior during training, they never really talk to each other. mainly because hyemin had her eyes on someone else and well, hyemin's not the kind of person to talk first and jaemin had his boys, so, why would he talk to a newbie? 

at first, they felt neutral about each other – nothing too extreme. if anything, jaemin finds hyemin to be a little arrogant and hyemin finds jaemin to be a little too loud for her liking but nothing worth noting about. 

it wasn't until the whole haneul-mark-hyemin fiasco happened that changed how he views hyemin. he didn't know what was exactly happening but hyemin was definitely a little colder around haneul. while she tried to put on an act, it was kind of obvious that something wasn't right. jaemin finds himself losing respect for the girl. the "nation's girlfriend" is a huge jerk in real life. as a matter of fact, he did throw some dirty glare towards the girl at times (which hyemin realizes but she doesn't care lol #yolo) 

living with hate – it does consume some people in a way. in this case, jaemin's strong resentment towards hyemin made him notice her more. the things she likes, her favourite shirt, her ringtone, who she's friends with... the best thing is – he didn't even notice that he did. 

teasing someone who hates your guts is fun. well, it's pretty much bullying – but without the torture. na jaemin flirts without blushing with everyone, from nct members to haneul, but he just can't seem to keep his cool with hyemin. once, jaemin joked about eating haneul's cheeks before hyemin interrupted by placing his hands on her cheeks by asking him to eat her cheeks instead. instead of replying... he blushed. hyemin started bothering jaemin more; caling him 'no jaem' when he didn't entertain her.

he hated to admit it – but he felt comfortable with the girl. she's surprisingly... warm. he was unsure of his feelings – being friends with her would mean being friends with someone who dislikes haneul. isn't that betrayal? but she's a cool person to be friends with!

it wasn't until he saw her crying one day inside a training room, in the dark. he thought it was an animal at first; but it turns out to be the one and only hyemin.  it was the hate comments. seeing her cry made him feel weak; as if he was useless. his knees were wobbly and as hyemin borrowed his shoulder to cry on, his heart skipped a beat. he realized that her smile is his source of strength, he wanted to be the first person she thinks about when she wake up from her sleep, he wanted to hold her hands and hug her whenever she feels sad. he realized that he has a crush on her.

hyemin started to open up more to jaemin – she told him about her insecurities, she told him about how the erted comments on some forums made her feel uncomfortable. she told him about everything. hyemin feels comfortable around jaemin as well. he likes the warmth of his hands and how his teeth lined up when he smiles – but one thing that bothers her... if one day, he has to choose between her and haneul, would he still choose her? while for jaemin, he's working hard to convince hyemin that statice's hyemin is just as loved as the rookie actress han hyemin. oh; and trying to fix the relationship between hyemin and haneul.
