Narae is a very athletic person. She loves to wake up early to either get some exercise done to start her day  or drink tea or coffee, depending on  how she feels that time of the day. She also loves to go outside and be active by running, playing basketball She loves to just play sports to keep being active and feel like she did something during the day. She is very energetic as well. Once she has her coffee or exercises, she is great the rest of the day.She is one of the members who is always in a good mood (or tries to be) and is always trying to keep the energy up. She has been labeled the happy pill/happy virus on occasions.

Narae is charismatic on and off stage. She has a strong and charming personality that captivates people depending on their likes. She isn't everyones type which she understands but when fans or someone likes her, it's cause of her charming/charismatic side of her that they first see. She calls this a strength of hers since she is able to show this side without even knowing. She uses this onstage while she is rapping or dancing. 

Narae is organized. She likes to have a place for everything and everything to have a place. She keeps her area in the dorms neat and soemtimes labels the area so she can know where to look if she needs something specific. She gets made of of this by her group members, which she doesn't mind, but if they ever need or misplace something, Narae always has their back.

Narae is considered to be clever. She is able to problem solve any word problems she is given. Sometimes it is automatic but other times, it can be a little bit of a wait. She is proud of being able to problem solve questions since it's something she enjoys. 

► Artful, mellow

Narae loves art. Her favorite form of art is drawing and painting although she only has it as a hobby at home or in her spare time. She doesn't care what type of paint she uses if it's painting. Oils are her favorite though. She always feels the calmest when she is able to paint or draw whatever is in her mind or sometimes in front of her. Because of this, Narae's nature is mellow. She is able to have a level head though many things even if it frustrates everyone. She is able to play the middle man/calm one in the group if there is arguments and can help out the mom of the group with keeping things calm and peaceful. Because of this, Narae is the 2nd mom of the group.

Although she is very rowdy and loves attention, she is very private about her life or other's lives. She doesn't think everyong needs to know what everyone is doing every minute of everyday. She only talks to her parents as well as her leader about personal things. The rest, she likes to be talkative about it since she doesn't think it's the most interesting in the world. She is very "amusing" according to others. She knows jokes yet sometimes how she words things makes her just naturally tell the joke or a funny story in its place. She likes that trait about her because she is able to make others smile and helps to set her happy virus nick name as well.

Although she is usually calm, she can be rowdy as well. Out in public especially she always has soo much energy that everyone always asks how is that possible when just in the dorms she was calm. She's noisy to the point that sometimes she has to be called out by the managers (and has been punished for it) but once she's out of the public eye or away from others, she reverts to her calm and mellow self.

When i say possessive, narae fits the word to a t. She likes to have attention on her which is why she can be loud or rowdy when she wants or doesn't want to. She's like that with her members as well. She loves them and just likes to show affection towards them but if they leave, she gets pouty until she's able to be with them again or if someone else gives her attention.

Narae is a boyish person and she has said it herself.She likes to be comfortable and wear baggy shirts (like most girls do sometimes) yet she has some slight mannerisms of a guy as well. ex, sits with her legs open sometimes (fixes it when she dresses girly) She likes to wear girly things sometimes but more often than not, she likes boy clothes that she would wear when she bboys/bgirls. 

Narae is tough.Not like stone cold tough though. She is tough when it comes to herself.She knows how hard and harsh the world can be so she has put a small wall up. verytime something bad happens, she makes sure it doesn't show on her face. She grows from each instance like adding a new brick onto the wall. She wants to make sure that no matter what happens, she keeps a good face on while also being able to grow as a person

Kim Narae was born on June, 25 1997. She was the youngest in the family which consisted of an older brother (Youngmin) and sister (Yoonjo). Her mother and father met during a study abroad trip during college. Her father took a study abroad program in the states for a year. During the first month there, he became friends with a small group of people at school,  Ashley (her english name), being one of them. She caught his eye by being one of the few people there who were interested in Korean culture so Inchul introduced her bit by bit. He taught her hangul while she taught him english. They tiptoed around their feelings for a good few months before Inchul had the courage to aske Ashely to be his girlfriend. Although he would have to go home in 3 months time, they spent the remaining time he had there together. They made plans to stay in a long distance relationship while they both saved up money to visit each other often. Within 6 months, Ashley went to visit him and stay in Korea for a month before she had to leave. It would be the same for inchul, staying with her for a month at a time. While this was hard for them in the beginning, once graduation happened, Inchul was able to stay with her in Korea for 6 months while on a visa. although many people said they were moving to fast,  they got engaged a few weeks before the 6 months were up and married in korea the day before she had to leave. They  had to seperate for a brief period of time while they were getting her paperwork ready for her to come live in korea permemntly with him while she was getting her things ready from the states, paperwork and all. Once everything was approved (tests and all), she was able to proudly call herself a citizen of korea and be able to stay with her husband.

It wasn't long after that they had the oldest child, Youngmin and soon after Yoonjo. They met the requirement of always getting Ashley's paperwork done everyyear to be renewed as well as being able to be financially stable for the visa paperwork. Although it was a bit tough at first, Inchul was able to move up in his job and is now the CEO of a popular car brand, KIA. When Narae was born, she had it easier than her siblings. For youngmin, they were strict on him since he was the first born. It was why he was able to go to go to school for law and eventually make it to law school. For Yoonjo, she was treated nicer than youngmin but still had a strict upbringing since their parents just wanted was was best for them. She went into the makeup industry and became a stylist like she wanted. Although it wasn't what her parents wanted, they were fine with it since it's something taht made her happy. Narae on the other hand, was babied by her parents. She was the youngest as well as the one who didn't want to go to college at first. She knew from a young age when she saw BOA on stage on tv that she wanted to become an idol.  They signed Narae up for dance classes and singing classes as well to help her get enough practice for future auditions. Her siblings were a bit envious on how they let Narae go through with trying to become an idol that they didn't talk to her much for a  year or two while auditions were hapening for her. It was during this time when she started feeling isolated when it came to her siblings. To help over come it, even though she was still young, she began trying to write songs as well as raps. IT was the one thing that would bring her peace of mind while fighting was going on between her siblings and herself. It began affecting her parents too since they began getting after them for not encouraging narae to be what she wants to be. 

It wasn't until Narae auditioned for JYP that her siblings had a change of heart. They saw how much work Narae put into her audition and for her to not be allowed to even finishe her showing her potential, she was cut. Shw was broken hearted that she stayed in her room for a few days, missing her classes as well. Yoonjo and Youngmin went in and comforted Narae for the rest of the day as their parents smililed knowing everything would be alright. Youngmin began helping her sister with rap battles (apparently, he has always been good at rapping...who'd have thought.) while her sister helped her with dancing and making choreography with Narae. She still took classes for singing and dance but became an individual trainee and began practicing with her famliy. it became a group effort. 

While Narae was in 3rd year in high school (about to graduate), she still auditioned for companies but began focusing on school more. Her music teacher, as a last effort, filmed an audition video for Narae in the practice room. Narae was able to showcase everything she's been working on and was able to do the video in a one shot.  she felt thankful to her music teacher for helping her out and rooting for her when many people gave up on her even making it passed the first round of auditions. It was a Saturday morning when Narae recieved a phone call from SM. At first she thought it was a joke but apparently her music teacher posted the video of Narae and sent it to SM. They were scouting different places for new trainees that when one took a look at Narae's video, they wanted to get in contact with her. Her music teacher  (Mrs. Lee) gave the contact information to SM and they reached out to her hte very next day with news of her becoming a trainee. Everyone began congradulating Narae for making it into a company. Her dreams were finally about to come true.   

TRAINING 3 years

Although she was scouted, she was able to show her talents in rapping , dance and singing. She has more confidence in her dance and rapping than she does for her singing. During her trainee years, she began to focus on getting better at everything, only resting when she had to sleep or eat. She practically lived at the trainning rooms there. Although she did break down at times, she made sure to keep a happy and positive attitude until she was alown in a practice room or in the bathroom of the dorms. She doesn't like anyone seeing her feel weak or have a hard time so she began being good at showing only what she wanted others to see, her hard work and dedicatoin. She didn't mind not being able to sleep as much as she wanted or not being able to eat her favorite snacks, she just wanted to perservere and make it to debut.   

Stage name Dove.

The company wanted a english name for her and after awhile of looking at names, she chose Dove since she liked the birds as well as the meaning behind them.A dove can be used in many settings as symbols of love, peace or as messengers. In the group, she helps with being the peace maker and a messenger incase some tiffs are happening in the group at times.

SCANDAL(S) 

Narae is in bad terms with her Group Mates

False. This rumor started when Narae was seen being in her own world. It's common for Narae to not want to talk or just think over things when they are in a car ride or even be napping. One day she got out of the car with her members and smiled shyly as they were getting ready to go and take a photo together. Everyone was talking to one another except Narae. She was asleep in the car since she didn't sleep the night before. When she wakes from a nap, sometimes it takes some time for the groggyness to completely go away and the fog to lift. She was in this type of state while the photos were being taken. Once these photos were released, everyone started to throw shade at the others. To make this stop, Narae posted on instagram and weibo to make sure to let others know it was a misunderstanding. Once she responded, the conversation died down quickly and she made sure to keep her attitude up even if she just woke up from a nap. 

(late 2017) Narae in trouble because of a tweet 

True. Although it wasn't on purpose, Narae tweeted her opinion on a matter where she expressed why she thought was wrong with what is happening in society (because of a celeb post), she recieved backlash from it. She quickly deleted the tweet and issued a handwritten apology. She has taken a leave of absence from her SNS accounts as well as made them private for now. She hopes everyone can forgiver for her error.They do but only after a 2 month hiatus from SNS   

(2018) Narae and mystery person seen in public together

a fan began seeing Narae out with a guy who was always covered up from his face. Speculation began about who this guy could be. To cover it up, she asked her brother if it was alright if she said he was out with her during a few of her outings with Gongchan. He agreed and covered for her, even laughing to himself that the days she was seen out with said boy, he was out of town visiting his girlfriend. She released a statement as well as a photo of her and her brother saying it was all a misunderstanding. The rumor died out soon after. 

(2019) Narae and Gongchan seen in public together

During one of their amusement park hangouts, Chanshik and Narae were seen a little to close for comfort according to fans. He had his arm around her shoulder or she'd hold onto his arm while walking or talking. They were even seen taking selcas together. Although nothing is confirmed or denied, both parties are getting hate as of late from fans.

Headstrong, confident and loving is the words used for Narae's mom. Since she left everything in her home country, she started over in Korea and was able to have an amazing little family. She speaks english and korean to her kids to help them be multilingual. Ashley or Doyeon (her korean name) is always supportive of her children and their dreams. As long as she is able to take them to her family in the US once in awhile, she is mostly fine with whatever they like to do. She is always their cheerleaders and is always there for them if they'd like to talk. She is like Narae's best friend if she was honest. Even when her mom goes to work as a secretary, she knows that if she is needed she'll be there.

Inchul is the bread maker for the most part in the family. Becasue of that, he had to put in long hours at the start of his job. Now, he is able to spend time and support his family. He still will scold his daughter if she needs it to push her foward but he is usually caring to her. He's proud of all this children and always does his best to make every event they have.

although everyone made up, she still feel some awkwardness at first with Yoonjo. It isn't  until she is training that she gets closer to her. The same thing when it comes to her brother. Narae felt awkward for a bit until he began helping her out when she needed help during individual training. He secretly sends her video games and consoles so Narae can play something if she ever gets bored. Because of this, she has become a homebody but she loves it. Her brother and her talk for hours on end when she has time about the latest games coming out as well as horror films since out of everyone in her family, they both like horror. Because of this, she is slightly closer to him than her sister.

The only reason why they aren't close much is the fact they don't see one another much. narae will always see Boa as her role model and will watch her from afar like the fan that she is. She feels happy though when she sees her walking around or gets shy when she greets her. Since she still feels like boa is far from her, the relationship is awkward only becasue she has fangirled in front of her before.

Narae sees her as her 2nd mom. She feels comfortable with her and can talk to her if something is on her mind, which doesn't happen often when others are involved. She likes to stay/cling to her and is always asked why. She thinks of herself as her biggest supporter and even a best friend if she could call her that. Although she does get scolded by her at times, she tries to make it up to her. .

Peony and Narae are i guess you could say the awkward ones in the group? They aren't awkward unless they are left alone. They don't know what to say to one another sometimes but besides that, they get along well. It's just the slight awkwardness they have is what others see. They get called out during variety shows sometimes to help get them closer. They are close but it's just them being awkward by nature

Met by complete chance. They ended up playing a game of fortnite together on random fill. They both were playing for fun (not streaming) and were amazed at how well their teamwork was. They added one another and began to play games more often, making the other their partner in squads and duos. They always talked for hours..1. from the game and 2 becasue it was fun. They would forget how long they would be online and just let time pass them. He is one of the few people out of the group that she could feel so comfortable with and talk to about anything

Taemin is Narae's role model if she had to put it. When he began talking to her and the group members, she was able to talk about certain things that would click with him. They talk whenever they see one another with Narae being slightly shy when she is around him. He always jokes about how she can be stiff when talking yet flow when she dances. They are still getting to know one another. 

*One sided love (2015-2017)

To say this is a proper love story is not true. Narae didn't care about being in a relationship and only wanted to fawn over her role models as well as work hard for her company. So when she saw Taemin in person, she couldn't do anything but smile and greet him even though she was in awe. Besides Boa, Taemin was someone she looked up to when it came to dance. Rapping, she had other role models but being able to see him practice while going to the practice room would usually make her day. She wasn't in love with him since she didn't know who he was as a person, just knew of the idol so she was perfectly fine.

During training, alot of the girls sunbae-nims would head over to SLJK-G's training room to see how they were doing. Some would even give lessons on certain moves they were learning since it would be needed in choreography in the future they presumed.Taemin was one of them. He watched as he glided on the floor. Narae is usually vocal during practice but to see her in awe over a role model of her, made some of the others . 

"Taemin sunbaenim, Narae is such a big fan of you. You both should dance together." Daisy said out of no where one day. She started turning red and looked down while trying to explain to him they don't have too. She looked up only when she heard him laugh and ask her to come foward. He showed her a small amount of moves and asked to repeat them after just trying once. She was able to repeat all but 1 move and he praised her. "Not bad at all. With some more practice, you'll be able to be spot on with every move." She just smiled as a subtle blush became present on her cheeks. She didn't know what to say besides thank you to one of her idols. He left the room and she didn't see him for a few months. 

Once their debut was inching closer, more people came to visit them to check on their training. CEO's, Trainers, and  other artists in their company came to give insite, critisizm or offer help if needed/possible. Because of this, Narae was able to start seeing Taemin more and more in the practice area (even with his upcoming solo comebacks). Taemin and Narae began talking more and became friends soon after. She was able to talk to him about more than just dance as he began talking to her more about interests or movies they had in common. They never became more than friends even though Narae hoped it could happen one day. Taemin just saw her as a little sister and even told her once when she asked him what he thought of her. Her crush ended there and a friendship began.

Gong Chanshik Is a variety of things if honest. He is a cute, aegyo filled guy sometimes (even tho he's not used to doing it much). He is very mischevious and sneaky according to his friends since he likes to play around and pull pranks on those close to him.He can be shy at first glance as well as chic because of his looks but once he begins talking , he becomes confident and talks to others as if he's known them for years. He has a dorky side that comes out sometimes but usually only with those he is the closest and most comfortable with. He's not exactly a loud individual but he does love competing and games which in turn do make him loud. Although he is all of this, he is quiet and pondering as well. HE usually is talkative to others but once he is in the car or sitting down somewhere, he will stay quiet and pensive, just calm for a lack of a better word. He likes to just think about the day or moments that happened which make him smile. 

First Meeting (2015)

Narae and Gong Chanshik met entirely by chance. She was playing Leauge of Legends one day and left the random fill section on without her knowing as she left to get some water. As she returned, she put her headphones on and began humming a small tune when she heard a voice on the other end.

"Are you singing "Only One" By Boa sunbaenim?"

Her eyes went wide as she realized she left the random fill on and was debating if she should talk to this guy or not. She didn't want to be rude and spoke back,

"Yes, she's my role model."

The stranger and her began talking about random songs they favorited while waiting for the game to start. Once the game began, it switched from talking about songs to talking about the game. They spoke to one another of there they wanted to land, go and stuck to one another to make sure the other was alive and well in the game. It wasn't until they won that they calmed down and became so happy. 

"We won! I can't believe it!"

They both said at the same time. They both smiled before Gongchan sent her a friend request. "If it's alright with you, do you wanna play another round? I already sent you a friend request."

Without warning, he left to the lobby so she followed suit. She accepted his friend request and joined his party so they could play more. They ended up playing for a good few hours (when she should've been asleep). They talked about everything when they weren't focused on the game and realized they enjoyed each others company. It didn't feel awkward at all, just....comfortable. She chalked it up to being able to thank fortnite for finding her a good friend. When it was about time for both of them to call to quits, he asked her what other games she plays and if he could add her there if she didn't mind. She gave him her id and said good night  before saying i'll be on tomorrow to play again and logging off. 

love story

As time went on, they began chatting more and more during games until they began talking in messaging. They became close/best friends that would always like to know what is going on in their lives. The only thing was that Narae didn't know who Chanshik was until a few months later. Narae was upfront about what she was doing and how she was training to become an idol. Gongchan on the other had, kept his identity a secret for the first few months of their friendship. It's happened once or twice before that once people find out they are talking to him, they start to treat him different and he didn't want that. He made a private instagram and other sns sites so he could talk and post there without having to worry about anyone fangirling about him. Everything was going well for awhile until she noticed when he would post a selca, he woul never post one of his face. She asked him for a selca or if he could post one on insta and he said okay. She instantly liked it and said "You look so cute. Funny thing is you remind me of gongchan from b1a4." He was stunned for a moment before he replied back. "I keep hearing that. I have a few friends that call me his twin." She didn't ask or say anything after that, just agreed with him and moved foward. 

*When she went to B1A4's 5th anniversary fanmeeting, she told Gongchan how excited she was. She normally didn't fangirl but she felt like this would be fine, to just let chanshik know how she has been wanting to see them. They had a nice conversation until she had to log off and head to the concert hall. He told her to message her once she reached there to make sure she was safe. He smiled to himself as he realized she liked his group before getting up and heading out as well to meet with his group members.  He was searching for her as they performed on stage, spotting her in the 4th row and doing a grand amount of fanservice in that area. At the end of the night after the concert, the members were talking about how the fanmeet went. They noticed how Gongchan kept heading over to one area more often than not. Gongchan doesn't like to talk about his personal relationships much but he started to talk about how he might be interested in a girl he has been talking to. they were happy but when they found out he hasn't told her about his work life, they scolded him. 

CNU: "I  know it's not our relationship but you need to be open with her and tell her what you do for a living."

Jinyoung: "She'll like you even if she finds out you're a celebrity." 

"Yeah and if not, then Sunwoo and I will go bother her until she accepts you" Sandeul said jokingly. 

He laughed at his hyung's words before saying he would do it. 

That night, he got on the computer late and noticed Narae was online. He began talking to her and asked if he could video chat with her. She thought it was weird  since they never actually video chatted before but agreed to it. He surprised her with an enthusiastic greeting as they saw one another on the computer and began talking about how their day went. 

"How was the concert?

"It was amazing. Gongchan kept coming over to my side...i think he became my bias from that." Narae said shyly.

"I'm glad you said that actually. I've been wanting to tell you something for sometime now but never knew how to tell you.I'm Gong Chanshik from B1A4."

Narae didn't believe him since she thought it wasn't possible that she just so happened to befriend gongchan. "Yeah right. Quit fooling around and tell me what you wanted to tell me chanshik."

He frowned and began trying to convince her that what he said is the truth. She still didn't believe him fully, she was just skeptical.

"Look. tomorrow i have the day off and i know you have lunch breaks between practices. Let's meet up at xx park and i'll bring someone who will prove to you that i'm who i say i am."

She agreed to it and said good night to him since she had to be up in 2 hours. The next day passed quickly and before she knew it, it was lunch time. she left the company to go grab a quick bite to eat with "Gongchan"  but first had to meet him at the place he said the other day. When she reached the park, she just sat down in the swing set and waited for his arrival. She heard a cough coming from behind her so she turned to look. Behind her was two men with facemasks on. She was going to say something but Chanshik pulled his mask down and greeted her. She was confused about the other person next to him but he said he'd introduce them when they reached a resturant nearby for lunch. Once they sat down in a booth, Chanshik introduced the man as sandeul. She was in shock for a few minutes before she stood up and bowed to both of them. "I'm sorry i didn't believe you." she said loudly to him before he told her to calm down and to relax. The rest of the lunch, they were all talking and laughing as if they'd known each other for years (in which case gongchan and narae had). 

They kept on talking, having meet ups and playing games together, despite their busy schedules. Narae went to a few B1A4 concerts and she made Chanshik promise to come to her debut stage. Everything was going well until one of his fans noticed he'd been out and about recently with a mystery girl. Around the same time Narae had a rumor out of a mystery guy she was with. On her end it was done with in a matter of a day but on gongchan's side, he had to lay low for quite a bit. They didn't have outings as much anymore and only conversed on the phone, messages, video calls and games. 

It wasn't till the beginning of 2018 when their friendship was put on blast because of an interview. Everyone knew of Narae's love for games. She talked about how her and Sakura for ABK48 are friends now because of their love for gaming. The DJ/announcer then asked if she was friends with any male gamers and by instinct she said yes, Gong Chanshik from B1A4. After trying to pry information from her, all she said was they play fortnite, lol and pubg from time to time togethe. Most of B1A4's fans as well as GJSN fans were glad she met others who game like her and approved of the friendship. They even began playing in celebrity tournaments together as a team. 

The end of 2018 (december 23)  was a different story though. Although everyone was fine with their friendship, Gongchan and Narae wanted to give something else a try. They both confessed one night during gaming that they have liked one another for some time. They were quiet for a few minutes before Narae took charge and asked him if he wanted to go on a date. He agreed and made plans for a christmas date. Everything that night went better than either expected. They felt so comfortable with one another they were able to hold hands, take photos together and play around as if they had been dating for years.  They even shared their first kiss under a mistletoe which made them smile for the rest of the night. 

They became official that same night when Gongchan walked her back to the dorms. They kept on having dates, most of the time just the two of them but put enough distance between them so no one would suspect a thing. They even went out with groups of friends to throw suspicion out the window. 

It backfired on them in the beginning of the year when fans released photos of Narae and Gongchan on a date at an amusement park together (see scandal). While most of their fans were supportive, a good handful were angry and left tons of hate comments towards them and individually.They began going on dates in private or secluded locations to avoid getting caught and even stopped hanging out only because their schedules became a bit too much. They still kept up their relationship and would talk or video chat everyday.  

Nothing was confirmed or denied until January of 2020 when SM and WM ent released official statements of  Gongchan and Narae being in a relationship as of December 25, 2018.

1st actual single: Hyuna "Change" Narae wanted to showcase herself as a while with this single. The company wanted to see how the public would react to the directoin that they were going with this song as well. This was somewhat of a test to see if Narae would have another single or not. 

She soon followed it up with a Halloween special: Grace Trick or Treat. She was able to show her rapping more as well as showcase how different she could look image wise depending on the style she was going for.
