Aika has been said to be focused when she is given a task or something she really wants to do. She has a one track mind at times when wanting to finish something, perfect a dance, song or whatever she is working on at the moment. It helps her take all the energy and time to do whatever she is given and be able to either finish everything or nearly perfect it. Aika is adaptive as well. if a certain situation occurs, she thinks things through quickly and follows direction she feels it should take. She does whatever needs to be changed and rearanges things to meet whatever is expected for that moment whether it be a song, dance, or in everyday life.

onstage and as well as with others, Aika is playful. She does know when to stop being playful when needed but if not, she will be playing and friendly to everyone.  She likes to play around with her members and fans. She likes to see them smile so she will do little things to boost their energy if sad. Aika is dedicated to most things in her life. When it comes to friends, family, groups or goals, she likes to work on things or follow through on things until the end. She doesn't like to give up on what or who she likes. It's a trait she is proud of.

Aika tends to take particular care in her clothing. She likes to wear things that make her happy. Even if it doesn't make sense to others, if she likes it she will wear it. It is something of hers she feels most proud of since it usually lifts her mood if she feels down.

Everyone who has become close friends with Aika has called her their 2nd mother  because  of how maternal she is. She likes to take care of her friends as well as her family members. She is always asking everyone if they are doing okay, are hungry, need anything or need anyone to talk to. She just likes knowing everyone she cares for is doing okay.

Aika can be a stubborn individual but she gets that from her dad. They both can hold on to things that has happened in the past or has been said to her. That along with once her mind is set on something or she feels strongly about something, it's hard for her to let it go. An example of that is boneless chicken wings, She knows what it's made of and everything but if asked if it's a wing, she will defend it with her life.

Although she can be maternal, She is also the messiest in the group. Everyone has said she leaves things all over the place but Aika says it's her way to organize things in her area. She likes having a section of her tops, pants, makeup and etc.She is working on making it cleaner to not scare off guests but it is taking time.

Although Aika is good and remembering dances as well as lyrics, when it comes to basic things like what she ate this morning or what movie she watched last, she can be forgetful. It's either she will remember it right away or won't remember it until sometime later. It's something that has happened even at a young age. She is getting better at remembering small things but if it's something a little insignificant to her, she just won't remember till a later time. Aika is sarcastic as well. She is like this to everyone but those who aren't close to her or know her personality directly consider it a worst trait for her. It isn't intended but usually her conversations with everyone have some sarcasam sprinkled in. Depending on how others perseive the sarcastic nature in the sentence structure, it can be taken to be rude which sometimes leads to her losing friends or having to apologize.

Aika likes to do things that she feels is right, even if others sometimes say it isn't. She's been that way her whole life. She is independent when it comes things in her life. she doesn't like to wait for things. She likes to be in charge of her own life and do what she loves or wants to do in the moment. Her family supports her on that at times yet will try and bring her down to the ground when needed. She is also impulsive. If she wants to do something, she does it. She once gave her parents a heart attack because she wanted to go buy an ice cream as a child and didn't want to wait. Although she was gone for only 15 minutes,Her parents caused an uproar when she returned.  Although she is in the public eye now, she usually thinks things through but other times, it just comes out since it's in her nature. 

 

background 

Aika grew up in Musashino, Tokyo, Japan with her family, made up of her mother, father and herself. Her mother and father have a resturant together where they make traditional japanese cusine but wih a twist. it is themed and is called Alice's Fantasy Resturant (it is real btw..i was just using it for their resturant though.) It has been doing well since tourists love going to places like this when visiting.  From a single family, Aika always wanted to have a younger sibling. Even though she knew that it might or might not happen, she did her best to make her family proud. She took dance, vocal and violin lessons as a child and ended up going out or auditions for recitals and for school performances. She competed at the regional level for violin and made 2nd chair. She felt bad since she wanted to make her family proud but her family reasured her that all was well and were glad she did her best.

around 5-6 when she started competing for dance and singing, she realized she loved music and wanted to do it as a full time job. Although her family wanted her to have a normal life with her becoming a doctor, they waited a few years to see if it was just a phase or not. They helped her by booking auditions, going accross japan to see if she would be in certain films or maybe a back up dancer or singer for someone. After a year, Aika ended up getting a part in 2 films in 2001. She soon became a child actress in Japan before she auditioned for SM when they did auditions in japan for a global audition. She auditioned with dance, singing and had to act as well. Once her audition was over with, she ended up getting news right away saying she was accepted in the company as a trainee.

when her family found out the news, they were ecstatic. Although they did hope it was a phase, they accepted the fact this is what their daughter wanted to do in the long run. They supported her and even though it would be in Korea, they would go visit whenever they had the chance. They did stay in korea for a few months when their daughter was going to start training and after that, left back to Japan to go back to working at their resturant. They always talked about their daughter and how she was going to debut soon to their friends and customers that they all anticipated Aika's debut. 

TRAINING  3-4 years

In japan, she would take dance classes but she didn't fully consider it training until she reached SM. The days were long and grueling but she pushed though it because she wanted to live out her dream. She had some small break downs since it was a new culture and the differences were eye opening but eventhrough tough times, she pictured how the future would look like. She did her best at everything and tried to out do herself everyday.

SCANDAL(S) 

Aika is rude to fans at a fan sign.

Because of her personality, she let her gaurd down for a second. She usually keeps her happy and charming qualities on when out in public but since she was slightly tired and her eyes were irritated from a pair of contacts she had on that day, she was mistaken for being rude for a few moments. Her face dropped her signature smile while the playful nature didn't quite reach her eyes. She was talking to her managers while waiting for the fan to reach her area and started frowning when she felt her eyes were irritated. She rolled her eyes as she turned back to the fan and signed her album as well as said hi and began making small talk before being taken offstage to change her lenses and input eye drops. The fan felt ignored since she wasn't given much time compared to others as well as felt bothered by her eye roll being directed at her. She began the rumor but SM shut it down soon after with a letter saying what happened. Her fans backed up the article with proof of photos of her eyes becoming red and her pouting from time to time as the contacts were still on. This happened multiple time though during the spring era until she stopped using a specific brand of contacts they were suppplying to the company. After switching brands, it worked out for the better.

Aika gets critisized over her some of her casual and airport fashion. She likes to wear loud things at times as well as mixed print since she thinks they are cute and different. Some fans didn't care for a handful of her outfits she wore (some were just to go across the street to the convenient storeto buy something) and in no time, fans began slaundering her outfits and asking for her to have better style especially since she is the center of the group. She began changing her style slightly so she wouldn't be bashed so often. She still wears certain outfits but in seperate ways/pieces.

Fans send Aika hate for having a secret blog

Aika was under fire by many fans for being found to have a private blog where she'd post photos as well as her mental or emotional state.One post a fan found nave rwas of her talking about a guy as well as photos of them together. The next was of her talking about a rated movie she saw although she was underage. The movie was playing in theaters yet in the post she was watching it in a comfortable and secluded location which was speculated that it was downloaded or streamed illegally.The last post the fan circulated was of screen shots of it as well as Aika talking about how sad she felt from recieving a gift while recieving a similar gift her mood being happy. Turns out after some investigating, the fan took screenshots of the gifts from different years (before her debut and after) and tried to spread them in a malicious intent. The boy was an old boyfriend of hers from before her debut. She is not dating at this time.SM never responded about the The blog is no longer active as well.

 a nice, sentiments yet strong woman. She is strong and never gives up when she has a dream for herself or a goal she wants to obtain. She is a sweetheart to everyone though. She is a gentle, caring mother that is like Sakura's best friend since all they have are each other.(A year before Her mother and father went to Aika's debut showcase & their 1st concert in Japan when the time came.

to say that Aika doesn't feel the generation gap is an understatement. She sometimes doesn't understand the maknae but nods her head if she is asked something. She is literally like her little sister since she sometimes goes through her things (like her phone) and wears some of her clothes at times. She cares for her but sometimes feels awkward around her since she isn't as close to her as she is with the others.

 

personality Baekho has a always been viewed in frist glance as a tough and scary individual. The funny thing is, he is actually the opposite. Underneath the  tough persona he has, he is a teddy bear. He has always been a bit reserved, sweet, kind and thoughtful individual. He would always put others before himself. If they felt sad or in a bad mood, baekho would do what it takes to make the other person smile. He does things that isn't asked of himself to friends and family. He has a usual happy and kind personality that looks at the bright side of things for the most part. When he is in a mood though, it seems like he is angry at everything even with a slight glance. His outer demeaner is something that makes it hard sometimes to make friends. He makes friends easily when he smiles but when he isn't, it takes awhile.

First Encounter

While Aika was auditioning for companies outside of japan, she took a break to see a group in concert. it was Nu'est's debut in Japan and she was excited to go. She had a fixed bias, JR, and had a banner of him to show support at the show. It wasn't till the showcase began that her eyes focused on Baekho. Although JR was her bias, Baekho really stood out to her. His manliness shined throughout the entire showcase/concert and his stage presence was unlike what she had seen from other performers she had seen. What caught her attention the most was how although his manliness shown, his gentle and caring nature was shwon as well. She couldn't help but feel like he was like a teddy bear when talking with others and having fun. After the show was over, she lined up for the high touch event. Everyone was able to talk to the members of Nu'est for awhile before moving onto the next member. To everyone besides Baekho and Jr, Aika was able to talk to them and say how happy she was to see them in person and how great the concert was. When JR was next, she was excited and fangirled a bit, especially since she had her JR gear on. What she didn't expect was freezing when in front of Baekho. right when she went and touched his hands for the hi touch, she froze and forgot all she was about to say to him. It wasn't until she was about to be told to move that she snapped out of it and told him i love you in Korean without thinking. Her heart fluttered a little after hearing him chuckle to himself from her outburst that she looked at him as he said i love you too but in japanese. She left the concert hall in a dazed state, replaying that moment over and over for the next few day and changing her bias from JR to Baekho 

First actual meeting

They met at a music show, music bank to be exact. They were waiting for  their first rehearsal to start. Since it was their first time performing on a music stage, they...well rather she was nervous. She was doing some breathing exercises to help calm herself down as well as bring her peppiness out. She looked over the list of performers that would be performing today and her inner fangirl freaking out. She couldn't exactly freak out like she wanted too so all she let slip was a small, shy smile. She saw Nuest W would be performing as well today and right after them as well. Since she was a fan of nu'est, she was happy and nervous when they went onstage. She talked to her members and got in position for their dance. She scanned the crowd and quickly looked away once she saw where Baekho and the rest of nuest W were sitting. She ran through the rehearsal with her members and although they did well, she couldn't help but notice the small mistakes they  made when reviewing the video. It wasn't until they thanked everyone for their hard work and were leaving the stage that she noticed nuest w on standby for their time. She bowed to them and smiled when they said good job as did the rest of the members. She watched their rehearsal from the side of the stage before they had to go backstage again and get ready for their dressed rehearsal. She couldn't help but do some of the fan chants quietly to herself before leaving to change.

As The day went on, she would always leave with a different member hoping to keep busy as well as maybe catch a glimpse of the guys in nuest. She smiled to herself thinking how crazy of an idea it would be for that to happen. it wasn't until she left with her closest group mate that she saw then by accident. They were hungry that they ended up going to get some salads (keeping to their diet) and say the guys from nuest w at the cafeteria getting some sandwiches as well. They said hi before introductions were given. It might have just been a passing by as well as giving each other some encouraging energy with a "Fighting" but knowing that Baekho might at least know who she was made her happy. 

love story

As their schedules overlapped so often, GJSN and Nuest W became somewhat friendly to one another. They knew of each other's gropus and some members as well. Aika would talk to JR often since he can speak Japanese well as the other members would talk to one another or amongst themselves. They became good friends and Aika would often be seen with him in the waiting room if they were at a filming together. She thought it was funny that she'd be asked often about who her nuest and nuest w bias is. She laughed the first time to herself at the question because everyone expected a certain answer. She answered in a polite manner as she explained who and why.

"In Nuest W and nuest my bias is Kang Baekho." She paused as she smiled as the words left her lips.

MC: "I would've expected you to like JR from the group since you both are close."

"That's what most people believe because of our friendship. He was actually my first bias at the time of their debut but it changed when i got to meet them at a concert and hi touch event in Japan."

MC: "So Baekho caught your eye? " The mc said with his eye brows raised.

"He did. He is really manly so that caught my eye but besides that, he seems nice and has great vocal skills. I admire that."

MC: "So are you saying he is your ideal type?"

"No i'm not. I'm just saying i'm a big fan of him."

After this little tidbit, she talked about her ideal type that was the complete opposite of Baekho which calmed their management team down. They were worried about a possible scandal if she agreed that he was her ideal type.  She told the truth as a fangirl so many people over looked this since they could relate as well and moved on with their life. JR though messaged her after he saw the clip online and asked about it. She confessed to him about how she is a fan of him and how all that was true. JR took it upon himself to get Baekho to talk to her and become friends. 

A few weeks went by and Aika began to slowly talk to baekho with JR's help. He was added to a group chat they had with a few other people and since they were part of the 95 line, they thought it would be fine to talk more in an informal manner. They eventually became good friends

.. Aika would be seen hanging out with all of nuest w but would be specifically seen with JR and Baekho more often than not. She had grown fawned of the members and was happy when they'd speak in her native language although she'd respond in korean. 

unbeknownst to Baekho, he started to gain feeling for Aika while they chatted 1:1 in messaging. He would often begin his day with a good morning message to her and text her throught the day when it was possible. Even if he was only able to message her a good morning or good night message, he felt happy. When they would meet during promotions, he would be protective of her. Always getting her small things like her favorite drink or small snack that would make her instantly smile even when she was having a tough day. He would smile and laugh more when around her that s began to notice and began helping JR with whatever plan her had in store for them.

Aika's members began noticing how close she was getting to the nuest w members but specifically Baekho in particular. Aika would be giggling to herself when messaging someone, Sweetpea found out through snooping and told everyone in the group, as well as how she would light up whenever he was around. Although she did admit she only liked him as a fan before, it changed as they began to talk more. She started seeing him as someone who her ideal type would match if she was being honest to herself. Although she wanted to like him and tell him, she knew how rough the fans can be if they found out things like crushes and how the rumors can make or break you.She surpressed her feelings back but kept on admiring him as both a fan and the guy she likes.  

Story Goes On

For the next year, They skated on the fine line for their feelings towards one another. Aika not wanting anything malicious to be sent towards him and his group as well as not wanting anything to happen to her group. They were being scene as a group with populatiry and she didn't want to ruin or taint it. Her personality onstage might be loud, 4d and funny in general but off stage, she was the opposite and would worry about things especially after the scandals she was part of in the beginning. Nuest and Aika became best friends excluding Baekho. He became her closest guy friend as well as the one she'd talk to about anything and vice versa. JR, Aron, Ren and Minhyun (he's back) were letting things play out since they did the best they could so far without interfering.

When Nu'est won for their 1st comeback as 5, Aika couldn't stop herself from crying. Her best friends won their first win as a group. Her members were watching with her on stage and when it was announced they won, she burst into tears without her knowing. Her group mates (carnation and Daisy) whom were right beside her began hugging her and celebrated. When she looked up towards them, Baekho turned hi head to the side to look at her and nodded with tears in his eyes. Everyone left the stage so they could perform their encore stage except most of GJSN. The first thing she did was on impulse. She didn't think, her body just went into motion as she ran towards Baekho and embraced him into a  bear hug as she cried. He was glad that she did what she did cause if she didnt, he would've gone to hug her tight. So it wouldn't seem weird, JR and Carnation went to hug them and soon after the rest until it became a group hug. They got off stage quickly after that so Nuest and LOVE could celebrate their first win together. It wasn't until GJSN were in their room changing that Aika thought about what she did and had a small tint of worry show. She went to their manager when they entered the room and asked if what she did was fine. They just answered with a i don't know since it just barely happened. They just patted her shoulders and said we'll talk about this laterif it gets to be a problem. Aika nodded and that was the end until the following day.

What should've been smiles and a cheerful day became a confusing day to say the least. Although they supported Aika and Baekho as her being a fan of his, They weren't happy that instead of him celebrating with s, he first hugged Aika then the others. Rumors started swirling out of no where about the 2 dating secretly to rediculous ones of marrage. SM and Pledis had to put out statements about the two just being best friends with no romatic feelings for one another right away. As a result from this event, they had their managers supervise their phone usage as well as made them promise for the next few weeks that nuest is promoting, Aika and Baekho not have contact with one another when seen in person or on the phone as well. They agreed to it since there was no choice. 

As the weeks went on, Aika and Baekho hardly spoke to one another. The most they would say is hi if JR was messaging Aika or bow towards one another if seen in person with the groups. JR was the middle man for Aika and Baekho. He was able to give messages to either depending on what was to be said or asked. It was during the last week of no contact that Aika and Baekho confessed about their feeling towards one another to JR. He comforted them and told them things that would make them smile like what aika did or what funny joke baekho said during the day. He promised both of them that when they would be able to finally contact one another, it would be in a private area where they could spend most of the day together with no worries of rumors or scandals to break again. 

The day the no contact ban was lifted, the first thing Aika and Baekho sent to one another was i miss you and good morning texts. They were glued to their phones the first day, messaging one another non-stop as well as calling each other during their time off in practices when their managers weren't in the room. Although her members worried about her being caught, they did what they could so she could be happy. They hadn't seen her this happy in some time.Baekho and Aika called one another at night to catch up on everything as well as just to hear the other talk. They missed each others voices more than they wanted to admit. After they said good night and hung up, JR messaged Aika.

onibugi: Tomorrow after you return to the dorms and everyone is asleep, come to the park close by to XX station. I'll bring baekho then leave you two alone to hang out and have time to yourselves. 

aika: Thank you Jonghyun. This means so much. I definitely owe you one.

onibugi: The only thing you owe me is for you to confess to baekho alright? you both look good together. 

As she read that text, she couldn't help but blush. Maybe it was time to let him know. the next day, she was messaging others but mostly JR and Baekho. She wanted the day to end fast so she could go out and be with her friends. The day progressed slowly with their schedules and practices. IT wasn't until 1am that Aika reached the dorms with everyone. She showered and did her normal night time routine but  only let carnation in on the secret. "I'll only cover for you if you bring me some snacks. Deal?" Aika laughed and dressed up in her casual clothing before pretending to be asleep. Once they thought the coast was clear, Carnation helped Aika leave the dorm. She made her way to the park just as JR instructed her. Butterflies were forming in her stomache knowing she'd see Baekho again. She smiled as she saw them from afar before hurrying along to reach them. 

Baekho brought Aika a gift and hid it behind him he talked to Jonghyun. "You got this Baekho. Confess to her alright? we just want you to be happy." Just as he finished saying those words, Aika popped up out of breath next to them. Baekho couldn't handle his excitement seeing her that he leaned down and embraced her in a hug. She was startled but quickly wrapped her arms around him, holding him tighter and inhalin ghis scent that she missed. JR cleared his throat and chuckled seeing them both jump apart with a hint of pink on their cheeks. He quickly hugged Aika before saying "See you guys later. Go to the practice room once it gets bright alright?" He left without waiting for an answer. 

Aika and Baekho sat a the swings together, looking up at the stars and one another as they talked about their day and how much they missed each other. As they noticed they were the only ones out at this time, They went to a grass patch to lay next to one another for a bit. She laid her head on his shoulder as he looked at her from the corner of his eyes. 

"Aika, i know we just started talking again but..i hope you know i really missed you. You make me smile and i don't want to lose you from my life. 

"You could never lose me Baekho. I'm always going to be here for you, whether you like it or not." She said as she looked up at him. He turned to face her only to see how close they were to one another, their noses touch ever so slightly. "I like you Aika.I have for awhile now. Do you like me?"

She just nodded before her lower lip."I have liked you since the day you became my bias, even more as we began talking." He smiled and lifted himself up slightly with his forearm while his other hand caressed her cheek. "Good. I'm Glad." was all he said as he moved down to kiss her, only stopping to quietly ask permission to which she nodded. As they shared their first kiss, the butterflies spread only making Aika feel happier. The rest of the night was filled with stolen kisses, hand holding and taking photos of one another before having to split ways to avoid getting caught.  

Ending?

Although neither confessed, they were both beyond happy. They became bashful towards one another but because of what could happen, they decided that if they ever did date, it'd have to be in secret. Baekho did confess to Aika in a song he wrote for her and seranaded her the next time they had a park date which was more than she could have asked a guy to do. They began dating in secret, sending each other little texts during the day as well as having secret outings and dates as a group on their days off and as a  couple. They were glad they had gone through most of the year with no scandals or slip ups until the new year began. Dispatch released photos of Baekho and Aika on dates they had throughout the year as well as photos of them kissing. The CEO and presidents of each company met and began deciding on how to deal with this story.

(I leave this up to you if Aika does get picked. It could be them being happy and being allowed to date, being made to break up, getting kicked out of the group or maybe even breaking up and not being allowed to speak to one another and only meeting by chance years later once their contracts are up as a 2nd chance. the choice is up to you in the end)
