Frustrations with writing.

Lately I have been feeling that my writing isn't improving. Something is off and I have seen a distinct style in my own writing, which imo I don't much like. While other says to have a writing style of your own, I am the opposite. I like it better when my writing style is dynamic. Being dynamic doesn't mean to copy someone's style for each project, it's just mean a style should be apply to a certain type of storytelling. I felt like my dialogues are coming together all across the board for all stories and it's scary and frustrating.  I need to be more challenging with myself. I need to experience more.

The thing that frustrates me the most is having a hard time writing oneshot. I like details, but I felt like writing too much details takes away the mysterious stuff that I want readers to think about. But it's so tough because I get too into my own world and story and characters that I end up extending the story just to put in a particular scene. I need descipline. OTL

I also need to update my writing blog. I said to write on Plot, Dialogues and Characters but still haven't have time to do it. I'm sorry to those who are still waiting for me to update, on everything.

there’s nothing wrong with descriptive and adding elements as long as they are needed. especially when it comes to settings. in fact, i wish i can be more descriptive in showing than telling. i’m learning tho! so don’t give up!

about writing style, you already have one! the fact that you focus on the details is one of your own style!

Actually it isn’t easy for a lot of people to write one shots.
I personally find it quite hard to stop haha

I agree that having a dynamic style is good. In fact, that would help you with your character dialogues as well.

Like, it would help the audience actually visualise more.
