at first sight, hua is a mature young man. he is determined to do whatever he can to keep people from falling out into silly arguments and nonsense. he's happy to listen to new and challenging ideas and view points without accepting or rejecting them blindly. hua is definitely quick notice things when they happen. it's like he has eyes in the back of his head, being able to know someone behind him even when they are trying to sneak up on him. despite being an only child, hua developed a motherly attitude when comes to people younger than him (whose he kidding, he acts like a mom to the older members too). nagging and doing the chores, always being there for members when times are tough, the total mom package. extremely selfless, that is what hua is. all he wants is everyone's happiness and nothing in return. because everyone's happiness is his happiness. whenever hua's given a specific task, he becomes dedicated to the project. whether it's coming up with new choreography or simply doing the dishes, nothing will stop him until he gets done with the job.

hua is a very quiet person, hardly ever making noise or announcing his presence every time he walks into a room. he prefers to keep to himself and let people naturally find and seek him out rather than make himself known. underneath his motherly exterior, he's actually a soft guy, mellowed out by his early maturity. he lets things go with the flow (unless something disrupts the flow, then he'll go and fix the problem) and hardly lets things anger him.

despite his maturity, hua is very clumsy and forgetful. do not leave anything precious or breakable in his hands as they will break one way or another. he has gotten better keeping his butter fingers from ruining things, but he tends to forget his own clumsiness whenever he sees something pretty. hua is definitely stubborn. there are a lot of times when his stubborness gets in the way like whenever he really DOES need help, but refuses to ask for help. he's stubborn like that. hua is very much a perfectionist. if one little thing is misplaced, he will do whatever it takes to put it back in it's place. because of his forgetfulness, he does tend to be a rather awkward person. especially when he forgets about certain things he was told about and when you go to talk to him about it, he'll stand there with a blank face until you give him all the information. he doesn't know where his forgetfulness comes from as he is only twenty-three.

BACKGROUND:

hua can tell everyone that his life isn't that interesting to hear. he was born to two parents that loved him, rich parents to be more specific. though it was never something he liked to brag or talk about. he went to school like a normal kid. nothing drastic in his school life except for a few cases of bullying due to his chubby cheeks in which his parents felt the need to switch schools for their child (which hua had managed to stop them because he didn't want the bullies to win).

hua spent time playing soccer in elementary and middle school, one of the things he focused on other than his schooling. though as high school rolled around, hua got interested in something else...dancing. due to his years of soccer, he had enough sense of movement and muscles that caught the eyes of the dance crew at his school.

they needed one more member for a talent show and they somehow convinced hua to join them. it was three months away and within those months, hua fell in love and the crew were glad that they were able to convert someone into their group!

hua stayed with the group throughout high school, making new friends and enjoying new dance techniques. as high school ended, the crew who graduated (including hua) made a dance crew of their own. they began to post dancing videos on youtube, including dance covers of cpop and kpop groups alike. within the short year, they had garnered a lot of attention...including korean companies!

a few companies contacted them, complimenting their raw talents and giving them an invitation to join auditions for their company. the crew thought long and hard about it as some were worried. would the companies even like them? what if they decided not to accept them? none of them wanted to take that chance...except for hua.

so with the approval of his parents, hua traveled to korea for auditions. he auditioned for each company that contacted him and it was just like his friends had worried...he was rejected. as he had no prior singing experience and only had his raw dancing, he wasn't exactly anyone's cup of tea. feeling dejected, hua gave it his all at his last audition. to say he was surprised at being accepted into the last company was an understatement. he was over the hills that level1 enjoyed his performance enough to see talent in him to accept him.

he immediately called his parents and friends with the news as he got ready to live in the dorms. he wasn't going to let everyone down. not now, not ever!

🌼 being alone. hua has been an only child and while his parents weren't mean or never there, he fully enjoys all the friendships that he has made so it frightens him that there might be a day where they leave him and the thought scares him to the core.

🌼 thunder & the dark. despite being one of the maturest member of the group, he is still afraid of the dark and thunder. for the dark, he gets anxious when the lights are off and the silence creeps up on him. he hates it. for the thunder, he already hates loud noises and thunder takes the cake. thunder can bring him to tears if it's bad enough.

🌼 hua's handwriting is very pretty whether it's chinese, korean, or english. it's very loopy and neat.

🌼 learns choreographies easily and is good at teaching the other members because of his motherly personality.

🌼 despite not being a main or lead vocalist, hua's voice is pretty stable when he's dancing.

🌼 has both parents and is an only child.

🌼 hua has zero dating experience (mostly stemming from his 'fat' appearance). will most likely sputter like an idiot and blush when asked about romance.

🌼 hua is sm biased, most of the songs on his playlist comes from sm artists. he's not ashamed.

🌼 his eyesight is good, but it strains when it comes to small fonts so he carries reading glasses on him when fonts are too small.

🌼 looks completely different when he wears makeup and is extremely handsome. without makeup, he's a squishy mom.

🌼 turns into a different person when he dances. he can do y and sensual dances with ease which contradicts his personality.

🌼 is actually self-consious of his chubby cheeks and thick thighs. if he has to wear tight clothing on variety shows, he'll try to cover his thighs.

🌼 the one member who doesn't cuss. he doesn't see the use of using cuss words. he usually blushes when he hears too many cuss words at once.

🌼 because so, hua is known for using random words for his 'cuss' words.

🌼 the only social media hua has is his instagram account (@MAMACHNGHU) which is pretty empty with only one or two selcas of him and pictures of the members. he used to have weibo account, but deleted it when coming to korea.

his actual child (not really). jingyi is a boy from his neighborhood who hua used to babysit when his parents were out. jingyi is essentially a child and is very biased towards hua. he hates when people call hua fat because he isn't! he dreams of being able to join the dance crew hua was a part of.

another child of hua's (again, not really). he's a friend from high school that he grew up with. yifen is pretty quiet and hua enjoys his friendship a lot. one of the few people who didn't comment on hua's name or called him fat. also gets mad when people call hua fat. he was also in the same dance crew from school as 'the most flexible member'.

feng is...even hua doesn't know. he was an exchange student from hong kong and hua hardly knows what the man was talking about half of the time. feng is loud and a bit dumb, hua doesn't know how they became friends. feng seems to be the only one who can call hua fat without any consequences cause he means nothing from it (as he called hua's chubby 'fat' cheeks absolutely adorable, his own words). hua knows he's just an idiot.

hyeonju is a cutie, hua can say confidently because he deemed him as one of his children quickly. he's a prankster and is always up to mischief, though his not as loud as jasper (thank god), but when the both are put together, they sure grate on hua's sanity and tend to boost his anxiety through the roof.

first thing hua noticed about jihan were his ridiculously good looks. seriously, he always has trainees following after him (which the mother in hua gets worried at seeing that). jihan is nice enough, but his blunt mouth usually makes hua blush and reprimand him for such a mouth.

one of the few favorite children of hua. yohan is a bundle of joy and hua tends to baby him a lot (due to the fact that yohan is equally just as nice to him). though yohan does tend to be lazy and that usually means hua nags at him a lot to do his chores (which usually ends up with yohan giving hua puppy dog eyes and that smile and getting away with not doing anything).

starting official training was...definitely different for hua. as had no prior professional training in dancing or singing, it was like a slap to the face and hua felt overwhelmed by everything, but he wasn't going to let this stop him. he poured everything into his training, practicing his singing and dancing whenever he had the chance. he studied korean in his off times so he wouldn't have to rely on translators all the time.

it was all very time-consuming and exhausting, but hua knew all his training was going to come in handy, and he was right when he saw his name on the list for level1's newest project k1ngsman. and now he definitely wasn't going to let anyone down.

people instantly noticed that hua had chubby cheeks and thick thighs and immediately began to call him the fat member of k1ngsman. this headline would mostly likely follow hua throughout k1ngsman's career. many times, the members would defend hua from those comments, knowing that hua isn't fat, not at all. they all know hua hates these comments the most.
