birthname.  jeon haeun ( 전하은 )
nicknames.

— haeunnie, eunnie, nini : general nicknames
— jeonha : fun fact, haeun shares the same name as her childhood best friend, and their classmates referred to them as jeonha and parkha respectively to avoid confusion. even after she moved to seoul, she still introduces herself as jeonha sometimes, so the nickname stuck.
— mini kookie : a nickname she'd gotten from the members of bts when jungkook first introduced her to them. she doesn't mind being called mini kookie, but if you ever see her brother's friends calling her that, you can definitely be sure that she'll make a huge fuss about the nickname. variations of the nickname are baby kookie or mini jeon.
— vampire : as part of the insomnia line ( if they even have an insomnia line ), it's not surprising that she was nicknamed after a creature that presumably needs no sleep, or at least not a lot of sleep, to function ( of course they can't say that in front of the fans, but if someone slips up, they'll just say it's because of her pale skin and intimidating stare )

birthdate. march 9th, 2002
birthplce. busan, south korea
ethnicity. korean
languages.

— korean : mother tongue. she speaks relatively well in the seould dialect but she's more comfortable speaking satoori.
— english : semi-fluent. she had more time than her brother to learn the language, so she's slightly better at speaking english than he is

faceclaim. son hyejoo, loona
backup fc. kim hyunjin, loona
appearnce.

— it comes as a huge surprise to many people who know about haeun's relationship with jungkook because she doesn't look anything like her brother. honestly, even she would question whether they really were related. while her brother was one of the taller members of his group, she only reached a towering 165 centimetres, and compared to her brother, she looks colder, with piercing eyes, and porcelain skin that contrasted greatly with her raven hair, which fell down to the middle of her back. the only thing they really had in common appearance-wise was the earrings they shared, the earrings that she had bought ( she says she bought it, but really her parents did. she only picked them out ) for her brother when he first heard he was going to debut.

fashnstle.

— her fashion style is kind of hard to describe and often depends on her mood for the day, but it falls somewhere between edgy, casual, feminine and a really oversized jacket. common accessories include chokers, chains and caps, and she's generally found wearing either combat boots or sneakers. for dance practices, though, she tends to wear something looser and more comfortable, like oversized hoodies or shirts.

interviewer : what were your first impressions of jeon haeun?

"scary," one of the girls responds without hesitation, looking straight at the mentioned girl as she answers. several trainees laugh in agreement, and haeun blushes profusely, slightly embarrassed about the fact that some of the trainees found her intimidating at first. "she was one of the trainees we'd heard a lot of rumors about before she even started training because of her brother, and so a lot of us thought she was going to be really arrogant and intimidating."

another trainee speaks up, giggling slightly at haeun's failed attempt to hide herself. "she wouldn't speak to anybody at first unless she was required to, and whenever we were training together she was always off by herself in the corner of the room, so some of us just assumed she wanted to be left alone."

"i was just shy!" haeun protests softly, her voice barely just heard over the hands covering her face. "i didn't know anyone and i wasn't really comfortable with all the attention i was getting from being the sister of one of the biggest idols in the industry." the other trainees coo at her shyness, and she blushes harder.

"haeunnie's very very shy at first, but i think once she gets comfortable with someone, she changes completely, and it was quite a surprise for us when we first found out what type of person she was."

interviewer : so what do you think of her now?

the camera zooms into one of the trainees as she grins fondly. "she's really fun to be around," the girl comments. "she's like a child in the way that she's always cheerful and sweet, but she can also be really unpredictable and random sometimes. as expected from one of the maknaes, but still. it's a lot more obvious with her."

"nini also likes to mess around with us a lot. she likes to tease everyone, but she's not mean about it, just slightly informal, but we all let her get away with it because we know she's just trying to bring the mood up."

a chorus of agreements sound in the room, and haeun looks down, obviously flustered by the compliments she was getting from her fellow trainees. "she's not always childish though. haeunnie has these really mature moments because she always seems to notice when something's wrong with someone, and she always tries her best to cheer them up or help them with their problems. we always find it interesting how she can switch between these two 'modes' so easily."

interviewer : i've heard that she's one of the hardest workers on the show. is that true?

"i don't think i've ever seen haeun properly outside of training," one of the girls joke. "she's always in the practice room because she's either too busy perfecting one of her routines or she's spending her free time helping one of us with our performance. she's really selfless in that way, but honestly i think she needs to keep some time for herself."

another girl nods. "i think haeun's too much of a perfectionist, and she's stubborn as well, so we can never really convince her to stop practising when she's really in that headspace. she's really good though, so i don't see why she has to keep on practising, but i guess i would do the same if i wasn't satisfied with my performance."

the interviewer looks pointedly at haeun, eyes asking for a clarification, and haeun smiles softly. "i have a lot to live up to, and i know that no matter how much i try to differentiate myself from oppa, a lot of the viewers will still compare me to him, so i want to practise more and reach his level. i hope that with enough practice, people can know me for who i am, not just for being related to my brother." even though she doesn't say it specifically, the look in the other girls' eyes make it obvious that they could tell the fact that she was insecure, and that not only the viewers, but she herself is constantly comparing herself with her brother, seeing herself as less talented than he was.

interviewer : since haeun is one of the younger members of the group, do you guys have to look after her a lot?

"like someone said before, eunnie actually looks after us a lot sometimes, but she's actually not that good at taking care of herself compared to taking care of other people. when she practises, she tends to forget the time and go to sleep really late, or miss meals, so someone always has to make sure she's still healthy."

"she's also kind of sensitive to certain comments," another girl adds, "we read a lot of comments about our show, and sometimes when she sees something bad written about her she'll work herself too hard in order to correct her mistakes. she doesn't really know how to tell hate comments from constructive criticism, and she believes everything other people say."

"and she never tells us when something's wrong, so we never really know how she actually feels because she's always trying to be happy for us."

BCKground.

despite being five years apart in age, much like her second brother, haeun had fallen in love with music even as a child, but while jungkook had been more focused on singing, she was, instead, more focused on dance. she'd started dancing pretty early on in her life, and her parents still like to remind her how much she begged them to let her take ballet lessons after she'd watched some of the girls in the neighborhood practising and decided she wanted to become a dancer just like them.

when she started primary school, her parents wondered whether it would be a good idea to let her keep doing dance, seeing as dance was starting to take up much more of her time than it should've, but one look at the huge grin on her face whenever she came home from dance class or whenever she placed in a competition changed their minds immediately. during that time, she watched her brother leave for seoul when he was accepted as a trainee and decided she was going to follow in his footsteps when she was older. it was hard balancing both school and dance ( she chose to drop out of competitive dancing when she started middle school to focus on her schoolwork and keep her grades up. by that time, she had already started contemporary and hip hop classes as well ), and eventually, she was faced with the choice to either give up on her dream or give up on her grades. of course, like the child she was at the time, she chose to follow her dreams, and told her parents she would like to start auditioning for entertainment companies. her parents were supportive, especially since her brother had chosen that path before and was now relatively successful.

she auditioned for big hit in 2016, hiding the fact that she was jungkook's sister because she wasn't just going to get in using her connections, and when she got accpeted, she was ecstatic. haeun told her brother immediately ( she'd gotten a 'why didn't you tell me earlier? i could've made this way easier for you' in return, but she decided to ignore the comment ), and a few days later, she was on her way to seoul, ready to begin her life as a new trainee.

fun facts.

likes
— food : haeun's the self-acclaimed foodie of the group, and though she has the tendency to forget to eat sometimes, the second she sees a plate in front of her, she will eat like she'll never eat ever again. ( if she makes it in her group, watch her make every other v live video a mukbang because she can, and because she needs a reason to take a break from the diet the company's undoubtedly going to put her on )
— midnight : she loves the comfortable silence at midnight, loves the way the stars shine in the night sky, the way that the wind's always much cooler at midnight, but she also adores this time of the day for another reason. the fact that she's still awake at midnight reminds her that she's being productive enough ( even though it really isn't good for her health ), and it's just reassurance that she isn't slacking off.
— plushies : she might seem kind of scary if you don't know her well, but in reality, she's the softest person ever. she has so many plushies in her room it's actually amazing to see how much she can fit in there.
— coffee ( specifically iced lattes ) : since she's basically the whole insomnia line on the show, haeun pretty much functions on caffeine. she knows it's not healthy, but it keeps her awake and that's all she really need. plus, she actually likes the taste of coffee as well, so that's good.
— stargazing : if you asked any of the other trainees, she's kind of an expert on astrology. stargazing is something that calms her down when she's stressed, and sometimes she would spend hours analysing the stars in the sky just to make herself less nervous. her room is decorated with fairy lights to mimic stars.

dislikes
— some of her brother's fans : now don't overreact now. it's not like she hates all armys, in fact she loves some of them for sticking with her brother through a lot of his harder times, but there are just times where she runs into armys in the streets and gets asked whether she could get her brother's signature for people, or whether she could pass a message along to jungkook for someone, and it really annoys her. what's worse is when people try to get his contact information from her, and she's even been threatened once or twice by sasaengs to stay away from her own brother.
— comparisons : no she is not jungkook, so please stop asking her why she doesn't sound like jungkook, or why she doesn't dance like her brother, or why she doesn't look like her brother. she wants people to know her as haeun, not jungkook 2.0.
— people who criticize others but don't have the ability to do the same ( in other words, haters. hi, i'm talking about you guys here ) : if you want to pick on other people, at least do it if you can do it better, right? if you pick on her friends but you aren't even good enough to do the same, you have no right to say those things to them.
— arrogance : she believes that humility is something that's incredibly important for an idol, so she can't help but feel kind of annoyed when she sees people who are too arrogant, especially if they don't have any actual ability to back up the arrogance. she doesn't think people have the right to claim that arrogance is 'just part of their personality'.
— frills or anything too girly : maybe it comes from growing up with two brothers, but she's never been the most girly girl ever, and it kind of disgusts her when people try to make her wear dresses or anything with lace.

hobbies
— choreographing : although she hasn't really shown anyone the routines she'd made herself, she's quite talented when it comes to making up dances ( it shows in her freestyles ) and she really enjoys it as well. maybe on the show she'll find the courage to show them sometime.
— photography : if she hadn't been a trainee, she probably would've gone for being a photographer. she likes to capture memories in photographs, and that's why she brings a camera everywhere she goes ( she prefers to use film cameras because she thinks they really capture the essence of the moment )
— gaming : she thinks growing up with two brothers really brought her into the world of gaming more than other girls her age. not that she's complaining. she loves gaming, and to be honest, she's quite good at it too.
— sleeping : just kidding!

habits
— picking her scabs : it's a nervous habit she has, and she normally does it before performances because she's so nervous about everything.
— putting her fingers into the holes of ripped jeans : she doesn't exactly know how this habit came to be, but someone noticed and pointed it out, so she now knows she does that.
— covering her face : this habit pretty much happens anytime. when she's shy, when she's happy, when she's scared, when she's sad. she'll cover her face whenever.
— twirling her umbrella if she's holding one : it's something she'd done ever since she was a child, so she guesses it just stuck.

fears
— astraphobia : the fear of thunder. she had been stuck home alone during a thunderstorm when she was a child, and her parents came home to find her crying under her blankets. even now, she still panics when she hears thunderstorms, and finds it even harder to cope when there's lightning as well.
— failure : she hates disappointing people, and it doesn't help that she's also really harsh on herself at times. she'll constantly beat herself up over one small mistake, and that's partially why she's scared of failing

trivia
— school : she currently attends the school of performing arts seoul
— dance : she's quite well-rounded when it comes to dancing, but her favorite style of dance is kind of a fusion between hip hop and contemporary. what can she say? she's a er for an emotional song with a powerful rhythm.
— handwriting : she's ambidextrous, but she prefers writing with her right hand because less people ask about it. her handwriting is very very small, but it's still legible.
— makeup : she doesn't really like wearing makeup, so she generally requests for the bare minimum to be put on her face.
— injuries : haeun is one of those people who bruises easily, plus she's quite clumsy as well and the other girls like to joke that she uses more makeup on the rest of her body than on her face.
— flowers : you know sometimes how you get bored so you search the internet for random stuff? that's haeun. one day she came across a website about flower language, and now she speaks fluent flower.
— sns : she does have sns accounts, but she's really bad with posting on sns, so she basically just has it to follow her friends. maybe it just runs in the family.
— anxiety : she's prone to really bad anxiety sometimes that keeps her up at night even if she tries to sleep early. she never really tells anyone about it, mostly because everyone's already asleep and she's not just going to wake someone up for her own benefit, but also because she hates showing weaknesses. even her brother doesn't know about her anxiety issues.
— fangirl : she's a fan of many groups, and she does all the fanchants perfectly whenever a group she follows comes on tv.
— aegyo : she has aegyo, but she can't ever force it for the camera
— tba.

brother : jeon jungkook / idol, bts / independant, cheeky, hardworking / 10

she gets along really well with her brother. despite being 5 years apart in age and not getting to see each other all that often because of his busy schedules and her practices, they're very very close. they're each other's biggest fans, and they always try to find time to call each other when possible. she hopes that with the show, she'll get to see her brother more often in person. but for now, she's content just watching him through a screen.

family : kept secret for privacy purposes / various / various / 8~10

she's very close with the rest of her family as well. she doesn't get to see them often in person either since they live in busan and she's in seoul, but she tries to call them at least once every two days. of course, with the show, she won't be able to contact them as often, but she sends them things often enough for there to be something that would remind them of her.

( idol ) friend : lee minho ( and by association, the rest of stray kids as well later on) / idol, stray kids / random, ambitious, fun / 9

they first met each other when he was a backup dancer for her brother, and she was so impressed by his dancing that she actually gained the courage to try to talk to him first. they're pretty much like siblings, and he often gives her guidance about being on survival shows, since he'd been on one before ( if she makes the final lineup, he eventually introduces her to the rest of his group. she gets on particularly well with han jisung.  )

fellow trainees : various / trainees / various / 5~9

most of them are like a second family to haeun, however she's still not that familiar with some of the trainees, hence the 5

talent twins.

— vocal : olivia hye, loona
— dance : kaycee rice
— variety : olivia hye, loona

what concept does she do well? What concept does she not pull off well?

— she's quite all-rounded when it comes to concepts, having learned many different types of dance, however one she absolutely cannot do is the cutesy adorable concept. sure, she's cute sometimes, but she finds it hard to force cuteness for the stage. she's best at the more hard-hitting, powerful girl crush types of concepts, but she's fine with more innocent concepts as well.

If she got the chance to call her parents, what would she say? How would she react as soon as she heard their voice(s)?

— she would probably plan out what to say beforehand, but as soon as she hears their voices, all plans of telling them that she was doing well, that she was eating alright ( a lie ), that she was getting enough sleep ( also a lie ) and that she wasn't too stressed ( god, she's so amazing at lying ) would be thrown out the window completely and she would find herself at a loss of words. she would probably cover her face before anyone sees her break down into a crying mess though.

wHAT ARE HER STRENGTHS AND WEAKNESSES?

— her strengths are that she's very likeable, very talented in what she does, and she's hardworking as well to make up for the things she's not the best at, but her weaknesses are that she doesn't have enough confidence, and that affects her performances to some extent. she isn't able to perform to her full capabilities because of this, and it's something she honestly needs to work on.

COMMENTS. oh my gosh i don't even know what to say about this. i'm really sorry if the app's a huge mess because honestly idk what i even wrote, and i feel like everything's really rushed so...anyway i hope you like haeun, and please tell me if there are any mistakes ( i feel like there'll be a lot especially since i chose a hard plotline to work with )
password. 4tune ( like fortune? idk i'm bad at this )
wishlist.

— haeun crying every time a trainee is eliminated ( but if/when she's eliminated she won't really cry )
— haeun hyping everyone up when they perform and fangirling over everyone after they're done
— haeun's anxiety attacks ( i feel like it's so different from her normal personality so it'll be really interesting to see that difference )
— the girls meeting bts ( and haeun not even being surprised because it's her brother's group )
— bonding between the girls
— it would be fun to see haeun being really awkward with one of the trainees at first but then they become really really close friends over time
— a huge game of truth or dare behind the scenes because they have nothing better to do
