AU's that died before they were born

As the title say, these are AU's of mine that barely got a start before they just died out. I like them, though, but... >.<'

The Greatest Thing in Life

Single Dad!AU

Minseok is a single father of 3 daughters. He has a set of twins, Baekhee and Chanmi, and his youngest daughter is Sehee. The three girls have the same mother. Baekhee and Chanmi are 5 years older than Sehee. When Sehee was born, Minseok's marriage broke and he got divorced. Because Baekhee and Chanmi already had started school and his ex-wife wanted to move to USA, it was decided that Minseok got custody and kept all three girls.

Their mother was also a little flighty and didn't really want to be a mother. Minseok was also far more mature and it was a really good arrangement. Their mother returned to Korea a couple of times every year to be with the girls and Baekhee and Chanmi would also visit her in the States when old enough.

Sehee is deaf and uses sign language to communicate with her family and friends. She can't lip-read and she doesn't want to learn either. Sign language is just easier than guessing what people say. She doesn't have as strong a relationship with her mother as the twins do, because their mother is really bad at sign language and makes little effort to learn.

Minseok has a younger sister who helps him through a lot whenever he doubts himself and she takes the girls at times because she's the coolest aunt on this whole planet.

Chanmi suffers from asthma, Baekhee has a strong fear of bugs.

And then Minseok meets another single father through his daughters (because they're troublemakers *cough* Chanmi *cough*).

Kim Jongdae is a single father and has two sons. His oldest son, Kyungsoo, is 7 years older than his youngest, Jongin. Jongdae shared custody with his ex-girlfriend over Kyungsoo for years and was actually really content with only having one son. When Kyungsoo was 6, Jongdae got into a short-lived relationship with another girl. They broke it off and went each their way until Jongdae was contacted by court that he had been given sole custody over his infant son because his ex-girlfriend had landed herself in jail.

So - suddenly Jongdae went from being father of a 7-year-old to being the father of a 7-year-old and an infant. He struggles a lot at times, but he's got great friends.

Even though Kyungsoo and Jongin don't have the same mother they are like brothers. Jongin is told what little Jongdae remembers about his mother but decides, when he's older and learns that she's in jail for drug-dealing and drug-possesion, that he doesn't want her around. Kyungsoo keeps having contact with his mother.

Minseok and Jongdae become really good friends and they share ups and downs in single fatherhood as their children grow close friends.

SAVIOR Medical Center

In which Jinki is the front office clerk, Jonghyun is a nurse in family medicine, Kibum is an ICU nurse, Minho is a radiographer and Taemin is a phlebotomist.

Because I needed a place where I could about doctors at work so it was important to me that neither of the characters were doctors.

Jinki smokes even though it's unhealthy. He just kinda can't stop. He deals with all the patients bring him and he has to smile all day because he has to be welcoming and well, on his breaks he just really really needs a cig. Don't judge him.

Jonghyun is a work-a-holic and his sleep schedule is all wack and it's kinda bad but he doesn't know how to change it and all the little kids need his help so he always always always puts himself behind everybody else. It's just the way he is, he says. He also likes to complain about Jinki's smoking. (Jinki teases him back with his lack of sleep).

Kibum is stressed and es the most but he's also highly intelligent and he catches so.many.ing.mistakes and he can never say "what did I say?" to the doctors because hierachy and all, so he just tells the others. Also - why are there so many patients in the ICU? Help him.

Minho hates hates hates mistakes and he will hate himself should he ever believe he made a mistake. He just can't deal with it because he's supposed to be the best of the best but he's just human. He also gets easily annoyed when people tell him how to do his work - off.

Taemin is extraordinarily good at his job but it bores him. He just does it because he's awesome at it. He also cannot - I stress that, he cannot - deal with trauma patients because it hasn't been long since he lost his best friend Jongin to a car accident and seeing other patients in trauma just sends him back down memory lane. So if he can avoid it, he does.

But yeah, SMC was created because I needed to and then ... I stopped writing (because I certainly didn't stop ing, lmao).

Airports (Deaf AU)

Jinki has a bad loss of hearing. He's almost completely deaf without his hearing aids and when he doesn't wear them, he communicates with sign language. His brother, Taemin, is hearing.

The two brothers are actually pretty close. Taemin does more than Jinki usually but he's way more social and he can actually hear people. Jinki is a lot more introverted and doesn't communicate with the outside world without his hearing aids. Period. The end. Taemin is sick of that because it's stupid.

In the airport Taemin forces Jinki to communicate with a beautiful stranger, even though Jinki doesn't have his hearing aids. As fate wants it, beautiful stranger is deaf. Completely deaf. Hearing aids don't even help beautiful stranger, whose name is Kibum.

Kibum has a twin sister, Gwiboon, who is hearing. Both their parents are hearing as well, but the family has embraced Kibum's deafness and usually talks with both their hands and their mouth when speaking. It's kind of just second nature to them, even though it doesn't have to be. That way Kibum is always included in a conversation. (Jinki has a hard time figuring that out).

Alas, Kibum and Jinki fall in love and it's just really ing cute.

Jinki doesn't have to wear his hearing aids when he's with Kibum because Kibum legit doesn't care because he can't hear anyway and it's just freeing for both of them.

Flowers and Ink

In which Jinki is a tattooed florist and Kibum is a tattoo artist without any tattoos.

They're also dating but that's down the line, really.

They completely defy their stereotypes, haha. Kibum's shop is very light and open and friendly, it doesn't look at all like the stereotypical dark tattoo shop. There's a lot of plants in the window sills, plenty of natural lighting in the waiting area and just ... it's a really nice shop. He's also ridiculously skilled at tattooing which is the only thing he does. Junghee, his coworker, is both a tattoo artist and a piercer. She's legit wild, she's awesome.

Kibum doesn't have any tattoos or piercings. His hair is a normal black and if it wasn't because he's ridiculously beautiful he would walk by on the streets and you'd guess him to be an office worker or smth. Generous people guess he's a model.

Jinki, on the other hand, is in love with tattoos - and flowers. Flowers have always been his passion, people call him super soft because of it but damn. Also, tattoos are so PRETTY. So, he has a lot of tattoos, mostly of flowers. His florist shop is a little messy and chaotic, if you can't immediately find what you're looking for - ask. He has a coworker, Taemin, who works part time in the florist shop.

They meet because Jinki's old tattoo artist, Taeyeon, moves to Japan with her boyfriend and Minho, Jinki's best friend, has seen this new place - Kibum's place. And Kibum's art is breathtaking and voila, love sparks.

Meeeeh, and then it diiiiiied.

Beautiful Life

Jinki is a marine biologist, Kibum is a famous singer and they're engaged.

When Jinki was a student he accidentally, clumsy as he is, dropped a book on Kibum's foot without knowing who he was(is) and Kibum demanding to be brought to the hospital.

Actually, Kibum fears his manager a little which is why he's so demanding because - of course it hurts, but ... he just really doesn't want to go to the manager and be like "my foot is hurting, i can't dance tonight". He turns all sorts of scary, that manager.

Jinki is both sorry and a little curious about the stranger. Like, he can't deny that. But also, he's really into dolphins and travel around the seas when Kibum is touring anyway so he can student ocean mammals. They're very fascinating.

Their relationship is super hush-hush and the only people that really know is Junghee and Minho, who are Jinki's best friends. Because, I mean, fangirls can be pretty scary.

But they're so incredibly happy together and even though it's tough at times, they work through it and they work hard. ;;

(except I don't write it anymore so it's dead but you know...)

I'm interested in the deaf one. I don't know why sign language and shinee in it are so enjoyable, but I'm always looking for things like it. If you ever become inspired again I'll be there.
