(Writers) Let's Do 'Dis #8 - Quit Being Stuck In Your Writing (Tighten It Up w/Examples) + Bonus Video (Equals 2 Videos) & More

Writer's Tip(s) Under Video 2
---
Yesterday I was really out of it.
Sometimes my disorder makes me feel really floaty.  Like I'm here, but not here.
Work felt like a foreign place and I kept spacing out, which makes me lose time, and not remember stuff.  It's really frustrating.  It's a good thing the spacing out goes in and out.  I come back to earth, and strangely do every thing on instinct, and only make the occassional human mistake.
[This is a reason why I don't drive - at all.  I don't have license.  Have never had them and I'll be twenty-nine next month.]
Plus I was irritable when I got home, and staying up as late as I did - not smart.
I have to sleep to keep the irritability level down.  It doesn't make it stay away, but it makes me feel better.  I'm not complaining about writing the previous post though.  Like I said, getting it done, accomplishing finishing something and keeping that momentum going, is doing wonders for my happiness level and self-esteem, my self worth...
I feel like I've just repeated myself...  Any who...  There ya go.
Thank you again for the opportunity to do this:
Share and help people, while improving my condition in the process.  Win win on all sides.  Haha.  Now, on to the Recap.

RECAP:
So far I have three...? One-Shots in the works for you (and me keeping these posts going is every thing for they're progress).  *Bows.  Haha.
I have a DIBS Advice post in the works, and it's going to be for Angst (It's where I'll be posting the First Chanyeol Video Inspired One-Shot).
There's the Pretty Little Psycho one with Yixing, Baekhyun, Chanyeol and Xiumin - across the Terminal in Wilde Territory.
Then there'll be the one with Wilde Chanyeol falling in love with a human.  &-
-I've become inspired for something Kai-ish, but I'll keep that a secret for now.  Psst:  Romance.  Sugar Sweet, a little angst, mental disorder -her not him- model/writer - exo being lovely.  Psh... what'd I say about a secret?  I'm horrible.
Aaaand may as well show the video.
Haha.  >.<

Video 2

This one just makes me wanna move.

Hilary Duff - Sparks (Fan Demanded Version)
I've loved this one going on four or five years:  The colors, the music, the fashion, the choreography - Love it.

Writers Tip(s)
Have you ever thought, "I know there's something I can do to make my writing sound better, but I'm just not sure what."
Well, I'm going to tell you what that thing is.  >.<
Tighten Up Your Writing
Example(s):
1)  [NO]
I just thought that we could go there, and then we could look at all of that.
     [YES]
I figured we could go check it out.
    [YES]
I figured we could go take a look.
    [YES]
I figured we could go.
-  How you tighten it up depends on your characters personality.  How would they really say it?
&
-  What the conversation or narration context is.  Why are they saying it?
You also should try to tighten up every thing, not just dialogue.  When it flows smoothly it makes it easier for the reader to keep going-
    -there's nothing stalling them.
It took me finding advice on this before I realized I'd been doing something wrong.

[!]  This whole splitting sentences though-

-that's just me - style - !  ;)

2)  [No]
I was afraid that I'd never get out of there.
    [YES]
I was afraid I'd never get out of there.
    [YES]
I was afraid I'd never get out.
    [YES]
I was afraid I'd never escape.
3)  [No]
Narration:  The streets were very scary at night.
    [YES]
Narration:  The streets were scary at night.
*Scratches Head
What's the difference?
The word very is unnecessary.
Does it really make it more scary to add the word very?
Does it make it more scary to add the word very?  - See what I just did there?  -See what I did there?
Don't use three words when two will doDon't use three words when two'll do-
-Tighten it up.
Make your words count, and don't be redundant (add unecessary things)-
-I took the advice seriously, because around the time I found it I'd planned on writing an original work and getting traditional published.
I wanted to please an editor, so I kept myself open for advice to do that.  I'm glad I learned.  Tightening up things and not using unecessary words make it look and sound better.

These days I plan on self-publishing.  It'll happen.  So, look forward to that.  ;)

What do you think?
I'm not saying you have to, but I encourage you to give it some real thought-
-Even while not taking it seriously, just try it out.  You may be surprised and thrilled at the difference it'll make.
    Ok.
Until Tomorrow,
    - which is my day off and I'll be working on not just a new post, but those One-Shots!  ;)  I'm excited to spend a whole day writing.  And like I said, it's because of me continuing to do this that I have the inspiration and drive to do it.  I feel so good these days.  Even when my minds a little... or a lot fuzzy.
Then, I usually just go for a walk... but what ever.  I get new ideas out of that to.  Haha.  Writing has literally saved my sanity -
    Byez.
