APPEARANCE Youngmin's hair color changes at the drop of penny, from 2018 alone his hair had changed over 4 times, from brown, to blonde to pink then back to brown. The one thing that stayed consisitant is the crimped bowel hair cut that includes a fringe which covers his eyes. Youngmin has a diamond shaped face, round eyes with extended eye bags thanks to the power of sugery, small nose & lips and teeth that are perfectly straight. 

Jinyoung is tiny, literally. Only standing at 171cm tall weighing in at only 52kg, and has a figure that only a woman can dream of, but he has broad shoulders and he will never let you forget that.

PERSONALITY 

Youngmin is the type of person that would catch the joke before the thought. Youngmin loves the attention and making people laugh, it's always been in his nature. He is the life of the party and the one who will come up with an idea the fastest. But with his bubbly and happy go lucky nature is always the overcharged moments of bad emotions, where he doesn't change that much in energy, it becomes a much different energy.

 

As mentioned, Youngmin is really happy guy, always smiling and seeing the brighter side of life rather than the negative. He tries his best to make sure that everyone is as lively as him and does a great job of entertaining the people he is constatnly surrounded by, even if they dissaprove. He is witty and charming and is just overall a bubbly person. Youngmin has always lived a life of rainbows and jokes, he tried to make fun out of situations by trying to be the one that makes the joke. To him, jokes are a lifeline and are significant to him. He knows humour inside and out and wouldn't dare try to challenge, he'd just sit there and laugh because laughing makes neveryone feel better. Youngmin says that to live is to be Bold and Brave, a saying he prays by. He won't hold back for anything, he wants to experience everything that the world can possibily offer him, YOLO right? He doesn't mind stepping out of his comfort zone to be the star of the show, or if when anyone else is willing. Although Youngmin isn't the type to be known as someone who is focused, he is qute a keen eye. He is people's person, and has the quickest eye for changes in his surroundings, he is a master at spot the difference. Although he can't really spot changes in people that aren't physical he is really good at noticing behavior changes and changes in mood.  Youngmin could talk forever, no joke, he always has something to talk about, and he'll never ever ever stop. He loves to talk, he loves to talk to people, himself, the wall, everyone. He always tries to keep his topics interesting and entertaining for him and whomever he is talking to. When it comes to trends, Youngmin is always on top. He handles change very well, new place to stay? Sweet! He always likes change and he encourages it, change allows him to keep as excitable and happy he is. He'll always find a way to survive, wardrobe malfunction? No problem. Leading in, Youngmin is a creative soul, an eye of art, especially audio. He always tries to find new ways to solve problems and wrap his head around different situations, he thinks outside of the box. He will always inject is artistic and creative skills into his day to day life, whether it be talking or boldly trying a new dance.

 

Youngmin, despite his incredibly bubbly nature can crack so easily. Yes he can take a joke but one the puts him down said to often will make him crack. And he cries, a lot, a lot, a lot. He often feels like he's been backed into a corner, ganged up on and genrelly has a bad reaction to a simple piece of critisisim from anyone, which is why the members are careful with him, becuase he can escalate. He is easily overwhelmed, he can't handle the same level as stress as the average person because he raised himself with such a care free, happy life. From that he can easily break down, he becomes just sadder, not angrier but sadder. Which is why he likes to surround himself with a lot of people because other people make him happy, well not always. Youngmin has always been fickle, he needed something interesting that really caught his attention otherwise you might lose him faster than a racing car. He gets bored very easily, with songs, dances, raps and more, there always has to be something new, he can't work towards a goal properly unless it'll massively effect his life. He generally teeters off into his own world when he gets bored brainless. Youngmin has always had troubles with focusing, he tries but it never works out for him. Although Youngmin is a musician, he can't focus properly on music or tuning, which is why he struggles as a vocalist. His focus isn't even others, if you aren't as entertaining as him, or at least someone who is an apple in his eye or close too, he'll lose focus very quickly. Now unless you're Youngmin, you might not be able to top his interests. He thinks himself very highly, always seeing himself at the top and having selfish dreams about him being the most popular member. He finds himself a beautiful and b entertaining, he shamlessly laughs at his own jokes. Most of the time it's me before them, not them before me. Youngmin is bad at planning long-term, he tries but they never work, just kidding he never tries. Youngmin has always focused on what is happening tomorrow rather than what is happening in 5 years time. He always comes up with crazy plans on the spot that'll help him now rather than the next day.

 

BACKGROUND 

Youngmin childhood is a mystery, not much is known to the public about where he went, all that is known is that he grew up rich and thats it. 

Yes Youngmin grew up rich, but that is not the full story. Youngmin grew up to a rich family, where he was disciplined. He lived under strict rules and was expected to be ready to become an accountant of a bank that his family owned. He didn't want that, not at all. What he wanted to do was create and make art. Ever since he was young he loved to draw, he scribbled on desks, walls, paper on whatever, he loved to draw. However, his parents tried to keep him away from that to prepare him for his future.

When school came around Youngmin clicked, when he saw that they weren't to strict on rules and they never really discplined the children as much as they did at home, Youngmin loved it. In school he discovered that he was much more sociable than what he was at home and it made him feel incredible, he had freedom at school. Eventually his school life became close to his home life. In school he developed his drawing skills but also started to dream of becoming a singer. When his friends first invited him out to karaoke, it was like a gate way for Youngmin, he kept going to singing at the karaoke when he was in Middle School and he loved it, from there he knew that he was going to be an idol. When he confronted his parents of his true dream they shut him down so fast. But guess what? Youngmin rebelled and did it anyways. 

He didn't do that well in school, mostly because half of the time he was drawing or unfocused or just bored, but decent. So when he entered highschool, he gather some strength and decided to auditon to Polaris, where he was accepted.

 

TRIVIA 

 He was the only idol trainee at his highschool, something he takes in his stride.
 He said when he first joined Polaris, he felt scared and lonely. But in Blockberry he’s the member that got along with everyone the fastest.

He was voted by the other members as the member that likes to joke the most. He’s envious of Yunseong's chin.
His favorite food is Wenchang Chicken.
He shares the same birthday as his older siblings. Out of the 4 of them, 3 of them share the same birthday, only his only older sister is different.
He’s favourite subject in school was music, but later changed to sport, then back to art and music.
He wants to be someone who can help others and give them hope.
His ideal type is a person with black hair, has aegyo and has long slender legs.

His favorite color is actually Pink, so when he heard he got Pastel Pink, he was very happy!
The meaning behind his real name is that Young means ‘unchanging’ and Min means ‘precious gem stone’. It means to be a a gemstone for as long as he lives, and to shine brightly forever.
He says he has a great passion for the things he likes so sometimes he can get greedy when he sings.
He says he likes to spend his time cheerfully so he likes to make others feel energetic but sometimes it can get out of control so he needs to have more self control.
He dreamed of becoming a singer when he saw Yoon Dohyun’s performances in middle school. The amount of energy he had on stage and the way he interacted with the fans and shared their energy was very cool to him.
His impression of Pikachu is so good, that people sometimes ask him if he is the actual voice actor.
He sang karaoke a lot when he was in middle school and his friends told him his singing is good. Since then, he enjoys singing when his friends are playing a guitar. Now he always listens to songs whenever he’s resting and he continues to practice and improve his vocals.
He loves rock bands. He was a part of a rock band when he was in middle school.
His role model is Yoon Dohyun and Moon Myungjin.
Between dating someone younger or older, he prefers someone older because he needs someone to take care of him. Or the same age.
