Aeri is a logical dreamer. Her life is filled with certainty of what she wants to do in her life. Being in a tough industry from a young age had programmed the young girl to handle the situations in companies, but yet also program her with the filthy confidence that needed her to keep going, and the need to be better, always better.
Aeri is no dumb girl, nor is she necessarily book smart, what Aeri strives in is her street smartness. This resentment from a young age has made a second entity in Aeri, envy. Aeri can grew envious quite quickly, that's what she gets for selling her life to fame I guess. Beauty, intellect, privilege, all of these can lead to Aeri seething with jealousy for anyone, and generally it'll grow unwanted hatred.
background: To be frank, Gyeong Aeri's whole life has been in the idol life. Her father was a dancer under SM Entertainment, and her mother was a manager in training. From a very young age, Aeri was already living a fangirl's dream bu meeting all of her idols in real life. She met many legendary names by the age 5. Whenever she went to school her friends would all crowd her about asking 'what did Changmin do?'.
Of course being in the industry from young, means that Aeri was in a way built to be an idol, and it was coincedental this was the pathway she would take. You can say a lot of the idol influences had her mind programmed 'yes this is the way I should go'. So her father gave her quick lessons in dance in his free time. Aeri was lost, she couldn't go back to SM Entertainment, so where would she go next. Well her mother did some crafty work, and founnd her daughter FNC Entertainment. Who were only recently started looking for idol trainees rather than band trainees. Which there was no large population. However the pool was younger, now the was only 3 years. She mostly trained with some girls, who later became known as AOA. Although like usual she found some love and comfort in the younger trainees, especiallyl Chanmi. The two girls became close despite the 3 year difference. Chanmi had helped Aeri warm up to the other female trainees and some of the male trainees. However, Aeri still stayed close to Chanmi. Aeri was drafted into FNC's first girl group and practiced the song Elvis however late 2011 Aeri was dropped from the group's debut.

Well not really. Aeri was fuming with envy at this point, she thought that she was doing better than the girls at FNC to debut. So she worked independtly, rather than wasting time and talking about gossip and seeing a bunch of boys try to hook up with the 'Japanese Team', she focused heavily on improving her dance and her singing. She focused so hard that school had become less of a priority, Even her parents asked her if she ever thought about giving up? Well no, Aeri never gave up, not ever. In 2015, a rather interesting oppurutnity had happened to Aeri, a show airing called SIXTEEN. And Aeri was on the cast. Exciting for her! On the show she was able to make it to the final, but was cut from the final group, beaten out by people who were already eliminated... Aeri will never live that down. A year later Aeri, pretty upset had deciceded to let go on JYP.
