Fanfiction of fanfiction - 2

I'm not going to say anything much because there isn't anything much worth saying but - here it is, y'all. The second fanfiction of the same series.

"I was talking to my brother. Oops!" The girl who nearly ran into him laughed softly, and despite himself, Sungjong smiled.

"It's okay, I do that when I'm talking to my own brother," he confessed. Out of the corner of his eye, Sungjong spotted a pitch black car pulling up silently near the girl, then halting so suddenly that the tires screeched.

He winced slightly. The sound has caused the originally quiet night to be noisy once more, defeating the very purpose he ventured out, and Sungjong secretly cursed the driver of the car, whom he couldn't see due to the black windows that hid its occupants.

"Wow, really? My friends always tell me I'm the only one," She laughed softly, brushing her hair back.

Inside the car, the girl sitting behind the wheel drummed her fingers on it impatiently, her eye twitching irritatedly. "What on earth is Jinheo doing?"

"Turning on her natural charm, obviously," A male voice from the back of the car answered with the air of someone who clearly didn't seem to care.

Suhyo glared through her rearview mirror at the boy seated behind her. He was currently paying no heed to her, or indeed, anything around him as he typed away at a laptop perched on his knee, fingers dancing nimbly across the keyboard and face lit by the light coming from the monitor.

"You think it's okay?" She asked dubiously, peering at the young girl chattering away with the other man excitedly. Their target.

Instead of answering directly, he merely stated, "She can do whatever she wants."

"Aren't you afraid for her safety?" Suhyo prompted.

Immediately, his head snapped up, and his fingers stopped in mid-type. Even in the darkness, she could see his narrowed eyes.

"I'll thank you not to underestimate my little cousin," Hyunwook snapped, and resumed typing. She almost smiled. It had somewhat became a habit to make Shin Hyunwook annoyed or even better - pissed, because he has been on edge lately, and the normal Hyunwook wasn't as fun to tease - at least, not in that way.

To be truthful, all of them had been on edge lately, especially when they're getting close to busting Jineul - or whichever ing alter ego he had on or was assuming - out of jail - which he liked nicknaming hole.

Actually, correction. She and Jinheo were in charge of breaking Jineul out. Hyunwook and Seungwoo were responsible for formulating a plan to defeat their enemy, and to find a way to win this goddamn war without anyone dying. Or at least, her brother was. Suhyo wasn't sure what exactly Hyunwook was doing but then again, Jineul knew and trusted him enough to not yabber at him everytime they managed to contact him.

And Hoseok. Goodness knew where Hoseok was. Hyunwook claimed his brother was locked up in an Institute somewhere, but she wasn't quite sure whether the boy was quite right in the head after Jineul talked them all into this.

Out on the street, the two parted ways, and she could see Sungjong walking away with a perplexed look on his face. No doubt finding Jinheo familiar and wondering who she was.

A small bing alerted the both of them of someone unlocking the code pad hidden at the side of the car, and soon enough, Jinheo climbed into the backseat and made herself comfortable near Hyunwook, who, again, ignored her.

"Any news?" Suhyo asked, tapping the wheel again, eager to get onto the road.

"Oppa complained about the hole again," Jinheo supplied. "And - "

"Tell him to keep his trap shut," Hyunwook's voice appeared amidst the dark. "No one wants to hear about his locked up in that hell hole."

Suhyo could feel, rather than see, Jinheo's glare towards her older cousin. " - he wants you to hurry the up, Wookie."

"I'm working on it," Hyunwook gritted his teeth. "It's not easy hacking into one of the most secure networks in the world, you know."

Ah. So he was getting some hacking done. That explained the constant appearance of the laptop and the large amount of computer science books scattered around the base. As far as she knew, Hyunwook wasn't exactly the studious type.

"Whatever." There was the sound of something punctuating a piece of film, and then the sound of something being from a paper box.

"Strawberry milk?" Suhyo guessed.

Jinheo nodded enthusiastically. "Unnie gave me a large supply. Do you want some?"

"No thanks." The older knew, through the hard way that the Shin family had questionable tastes in food, particularly Jiae and with the exception of Hyunwook.

Said man snorted, and Suhyo knew she would soon lose Jinheo to another of their quarrels. Quickly, she cut through, "Jinheo, where are we going?

"Home base." The answer came swiftly, "We need to get work done." Nodding her understanding, Suhyo shifted gears, and gunned the engine, letting the feeling of being one with the vehicle wash over her, then sped through the dark streets cloaked in black, barely lit by lampposts flickering like stars.

As she pressed her foot harder on the accelerator, she could head slightly, the sound of Hyunwook screaming from the backseat.

I'm so done with every single one of them *sighs*
